    Is there enough room to do this to the 144in MC…?¿?

    How did u do the running boards on this awesome machine?? I got a 05 m6 153 that I would like to do that to. I would assume the rear skid mounts would add enough reinforcement for them not to bend?

      Just cut the boards off behind the bracket and get newer bumper!

    I'm in! I just got a early 03 900 Mountain Cat. I had a heck of a time figuring out the drive belt remove install method. I was just forced to pull the remnants of my in tank fuel line, so seat removed too. Easier than it sounds, as a matter of fact! And now to see if it fires up tomorrow, it always hated firing up when cold. Maybe it was sucking air!

      To remove the belt just twist clockwise and push in on helix and belt will fall deep in the sheaves then remove the belt I can show you a video if you like!!

    Big Question i noticed you have two holes for the spring to mount into and my skid only has one. Did you drill the second? After my first ride out I noticed the spring is slipping in that little plastic boot and its scraping my track as soon as i hit a bump. Just wondering if you had this problem and if thats why you drilled the second hole about and inch or so back.

      My spring never rubbed my track, I just drilled it because I moved everything forward!!!

    Love the video! I have two mountain cats and still love riding them. Is it possible to do the lift and relocate the skid with a 159 skid? I have the 2003.5 model and would love the easier side hill ability, but don’t need a 3 inch paddle.

    This video is a savior. Got a hold of our old 03 900 151 1M. Have been tinkering with it alot. 6 inch bar riser. Reverse trans. New fuel lines all around. Kill cord.
    Looks im gonna have to go skid drilling. Just hoping the 151 skid is "adaptable"
    Had any issues with with rail stabb with the smaller driver and lower skid?

    • @JoarTroan
      @JoarTroan 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Rewatched it now. See you have the antistab rollers. But do you not run any rollers along the rail other than the two pairs of mini rollers inside the rail?

    • @jimbauerXp3
      @jimbauerXp3  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes it is I have anti stab wheels it’s a must!! Also make sure you ice cool the clips too!!

      @@JoarTroan just in front of the rear shock if you ice cool the clips you don’t need scratches just drag foot periodically!!

    Love the video! Very helpful, I’m looking at a 2004 king cat 900, it’s a 162 chassis but the previous owner installed a 151 skid for some unknown reason, I’d like to put it back to a 162 with either a skid from the same year or with an m series skid, would the process of moving the suspension forward in the rails be the same on an m series skid do you know?

    • @jimbauerXp3
      @jimbauerXp3  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      No I recommend staying with 04 rail!!

      Thanks for the response! I’ll search for a 04 skid!
