    Just thought I'd share in case someone else has the same issue. I have a 2020 CR-V and was really looking forward to using Android Auto (first vehicle I have that supports it). But I couldn't get it to work. I have a Note 20 Ultra 5G and tried ~3 dif cords. The phone would charge but that was it. No message asking me if I wanted to enable android auto would appear. On a hunch I ordered a Amazon Basics USB type C to USB-A 2.0 cable. Specifically the 2.0 part. Plugged that cable into the car, and then into my phone and BAM it worked and hasn't given me a single issue in over a year. Anyways, love my CR-V.

    20:05 lol that VIN # also at 20:55 the infotainment system runs on Android. Regular full blown Android taken and customized by Honda for the infotainment system. It's a old version (4.x), but that means you can (and I have on my 2020 CR-V) sideload any Android app. As long as it will run on a version of Android that old. Also at 25:10 it amazes me that Honda dose not have the two driver profiles save the positioning of the mirrors. Only the positioning of the seat. Had a ~2017 or so Accord (fully loaded) and it was the same way, only the seat position. I remember a 2001 GMC Envoy we had that saved the seat position and mirror positions for each profile.

      To turn on the auto high beams follow these steps: Put the vehicle in park
      Turn the power mode on
      Put the light switch lever in the auto position
      Pull the light switch lever toward you and hold it for at least 30 seconds
      The auto high beam indicator light will blink once, indicating the feature is re-enabled

    The paddles change the regen brake level. There is no cvt to simulate a gearbox on this vehicle.

    How do you read the gas gauge?

    • @TwoGuysandaRide
      @TwoGuysandaRide  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the question. The “F” at the top of the gauge is the Full mark. The “E” at the bottom is the empty mark. The white led line between the two markings tells you how full your gas tank is. Thanks for watching

      Huh I wouldn't have noticed without reading your comment. I have a 2020 CR-V but not the hybrid version. So the engine temp is the gauge on the left.

    Hi can you help me, can't see my navigation, how can I activate it?

    • @TwoGuysandaRide
      @TwoGuysandaRide  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the question. If you have built in navigation, there will be a Map button on the left of the screen under the Home button. If you have that button, but when you push it, navigation does not appear, then the vehicle did not come with navigation. You can always use Apple CarPlay or Android Auto to display any navigation app from your phone unto the infotainment screen. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!

    My car doesn't have that stereo navigation and it's Honda CRV Hybrid 2020. How do I change it?

    • @TwoGuysandaRide
      @TwoGuysandaRide  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the question. The navigation comes as part of a trim package so if you don’t have it, you could talk to your dealer and see if it’s possible to upgrade your infotainment system. I would suggest instead that you use either Apple CarPlay or Android Auto which your system should have. By using one of those options you can use any navigation app that’s on your phone, and it will be displayed and is controllable from your infotainment screen. Thanks for watching!

    Good video... But why does the mpg read so low? I thought it got 38 combined mpg?

    • @TwoGuysandaRide
      @TwoGuysandaRide  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In our video the MPG is skewed because we had been driving it agressivley in sport mode and the How To video was filmed with the vehicle running and the AC on so the gas engine was working and not just running on battery power. Honda, like all other manufacturers post their fuel mileage figures gathered under "optimum" conditions re: extremely cautious driving at a certain outside temp and weather conditions. As they all state in the fine print..."your mileage may vary". Thanks for the question and thanks for watching

    On the CRV home screen, there is left arrows that show additional screens (6-8 screens). What are they for? The screens are empty.

    • @TwoGuysandaRide
      @TwoGuysandaRide  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the question. They are in case you want to add apps or widgets. The new ones would go on the next screen. Simply go to a blank screen, press and hold on a location then it will ask you if you want to add a widget or app. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching!

      I have a 2020 CR-V and the infotainment system def isn't great, but not awful. It dose have random bits of lag but thankfully it's not to common. It made perfect sense to me why though when I was messing around with it and discovered the system runs on Android 4.x (obviously a custom version that Honda developed and skinned). It's very similar to the random lag that early android phones had. But I use Android Auto, first thing I do when I get in the car is connect my phone. So I don't have to deal with the infotainment system software much at all.

    Sold my 2000 Honda CR-V and got my 2020 CR-V Hybrid July 15 and I'm LOVING it!! Honda just rocks!! This is such a great video and thank you for posting because yes.. totally forgot how to use most of the tech-y stuff after the test drive and this is a great refresher. Did have a small issue this morning that I need to figure out - went to gas station and the pump sensor wouldn't "engage" with the capless tank so I couldn't get gas flowing. Attendant and I both tried several times, reset pump and started over, but still no luck. I'm going to try another gas station.. perhaps this Chevron station which is an older one didn't have updated pumps? Just a guess...

    • @TrumpIsrael2024
      @TrumpIsrael2024 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Just bought my Hybrid EXL 2 days ago. Haven't fill gas yet. Did you figure out what the problem was? I heard these new, STUPID capless tank have another mechanism further inside, so you need to stick something long down there to keep it open, then insert the gas nozzle. I'm guessing your first pump was too short to open this mechanism, so the backflow sensor on the nozzle kicks in, stopping the flow. 2nd nozzle was longer, thus it open this mechanism, so no back pressure, hence gas flow. Plz correct me if I'm wrong.

    • @scarpe322
      @scarpe322 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TrumpIsrael2024 Sorry for the delay! I haven't gone back to that station but I've gone to others and have had NO problem. I think maybe that was just an older pump.
