Thanks for the info! I have a 4+ Currently and I'm about to buy a new helmet and wanting to know if it's worth upgrading to the Bold. Mainly I want to know if they have switched to USB C yet? As my 4 is using micro usb and it's just one extra cable in my storage I would like to get out of there.
Looking to buy a system but I’m confused on why don’t I just buy the cheapest one and make a phone call and merge the call on my phone with my other riders? PLEASE HELP!
You can do that too and we have when running a big group event and have a lead rider and a sweep rider in the back who can be miles apart. However keep in mind with the nicer units you have better audio quality and bigger speakers too which really do sound better. And the Packtalk series has DMC which connects and disconnects members of the group automatically. It’s much easier and hands free operation when you’re on the move.
Hi. Great vid. Do you know if the freecom 4 have any difference in the sound Quality of the packtalks? I was going to buy the packtalk but with the firmware that allow voice commands on the freecom 4, now all just goes to sound quality.
Hi i’m a solo rider i just want a bluetooth system that plays amazing music quality and can give me good call audio that’s all i need it for what do you recommend?
If you want the best quality audio we'd really recommend the Freecom 4+ JBL. You won't need the multi-person connection features, but the audio is a big upgrade from the speakers and audio that come with the Freecom 1+.
The biggest difference is the Freecom is just bluetooth while the Bold has DMC mesh and Bluetooth. DMC allows for easier connectivity between other Bold units.
Voice commands don't work right! Only Hey cardo battery status! And range sucks! My FODSPORTS FX6 has better range and was way cheaper! Sorry Cardo got to let's them know!
I agree about the "Hey Cardo" commands - they could be better. Siri and OK Google have worked well for us. Range has been pretty solid for us too, but riding in our area is pretty wide-open.
@@shorecycles410 When a packtalk is connected to a freecom for communication, can you hear both the nav and the conversation at the same time, or do you need to switch back and forth. My only gripe with my freecom 4 is that I can’t talk to my son and hear the nav instructions. I was hoping the packtalk would solve that.
this was the explanation Im searching for - many thanks, even after two years :)
Hi guys. Now the Freecom 4+ have the Natural Voice commands integrated, with the last firmware update ✌️
Does it works fine?
Good video, good explanation, clearing up some questions i had about the systems! Thank you very much!
Glad it helped!
Freecom 4+ also has voice commands
Good point, you are correct!
Oh man that was a deal breaker for me, so glad you said that. I'm 100% buying the freecom 4 now
@@buddybonbutt7510 getting it too for my wife
Do u know if this works with iPhone siri for like gps and calls ?
Thanks for the video!
Thanks for the nice explanation!
Very Helpful! Thanks.
very helpful video. Thanks.
Thanks for the info, brother.👍👍👍
Hi! Wondering if the mesh units can communicate/connect with the 2+ freecom headsets?
Very nice Video 👍🏻 Definitly helped me out with my purchase decision.....Thumps UP :D

Free tip from a cinematographer set focus to manual. Great video by the way!
Thanks!
Thanks for the video. I have a question. Can the 2 be mixed with the 4? (my brother owns a four, can I talk to him when I buy a 2?)

The Packtalk Bold JBL and the Freecom 4+ JBL have the same 40mm speakers and audio package as far as I know.
@@shorecycles410 i think there is a 45mm's in the palktalk bold black ed.
But can packtalk allow me to intercom and speak with the entire group at once
Yes it does full group Intercom up to 15 riders
Hi,
Can I use Packtalk slim with Glamster Shoei?
Yes I think it should fit in that helmet. We don't have that model in the USA but it looks like the Packtalk should work.
@@shorecycles410 Thank you, it is fitting 😁👍
Its working good.

how can I recover lost jbl activation code?
Not sure about this! I’d recommend emailing Cardo directly. You might need to send them your proof of purchase.
Thank you
Hi, is sound quality on 1+ good?
Thanks!
Thank you, can the pack talk work with freecom? And will it still be able to simultaneously mesh?
Packtalk to Freecom will be a Bluetooth connection not DMC
What is the difffrence between freecom and bold?

@@shorecycles410 thanks so its not big difffrence ;)

Yes via Bluetooth

I found the Hey Cardo functions to work better on mine than the hey siri/google. I also yell at it, not sure if that helps.
Very bad sound quality.
On which one?
@@trevonstewart3636 Freecom 2+
Stupidly overpriced gear that is already totally outdated by a pair of bluetooth earbuds with anc and a small android remote.
Can the freecom and pack talk connect together?
Yes! Via Bluetooth.

Hi, is sound quality on 1+ good?
It’s good. For JBL audio choose the 4+ or Packtalk series. They are louder and have improved clarity.
