While watching this video in december 2020, I got my first legendary boar! the indicator pps up as yellow for their species and sex. I got him on Pawnee meadows. Will post video later today!

I've tried a crossbow only game play, but everytime the animals get close they spook. Does the dog have anything to do with that? Note i have the scent killer spray

I believe so. In my hunts if i had any companion present animals would spook 65 to 80 yards out when in a stand. Without the companion i could call animals into 30 yards of the stand. Similar experiences on foot just without accurate measurements. I have started using companion only for winged things and scouting but then return to the cabin and remove it before actually hunting.

Ok thank, I changed to crossbow due to it being too easy with the rifle, and not having companion is going to give me the difficulty im looking for.
