Legendary's spawning in on HS2 are determined by the volume the player has killed of a specific species of animal & the time of day you killed them in (Morning, Afternoon, Evening). For example if you've killed 25-30+ Elk in the afternoon on Pawnee your start to see Legendary Elk's spawning in but if you try to find a Legendary Elk at a different time of day on Bandera County you wont find them. Legendary's on HS2 are based on rare fur-type only & you can find a Legendary animal throughout all the species apart from Ducks, geese, rabbits & hares. Bagging a Mature Legendary for your lodge is the ultimate prize on this game!

when you spot them the name (appears on the right) will be gold. in harvest, claim and trophy view the container box will be gold.
