To anyone coming back and watching this for the PC Release -- you don't have to purify them all at once. He could have done one vocation for a few, switch to the vocation that gives what he wants and purify a few more, then switched again and get something for the last ones. the game holds a list in the background of what they are, you're purifying them in the same order; Weapons, Armor, and class skill ring (gear) cursed items are class based. Maneater cannot jump out of any chest. check the wiki for specific drops on the different maps and which can have maneater.
I fell in love with the mystic knight because of magic cannon and abyssal anguish. Magic cannon is great for enemies that are out of reach - combined with ruinous sigil makes for a fantastic strategy is close quarters. The best part about mystic knight is that it plays like a fighter - but you can always fall back on your ranged attack. The only downside is you have a more balanced stat growth - so it's wiser to use other vocations first (before level 100) before switching.
Dark Arisen is $40, but it comes with the full original game with updates (such as a portcrystal outside of Cassardis), all DLC for the original, plus the Dark Arisen content on Bitterblack Isle. You will also get bonuses if you import a save from the original in the form of 100,000 Rift Crystals and an Eternal Ferrystone that can be used an infinite number of times.
The chest on the left balcony in the Forgotten Hall has a small change of spawning a level 3 armor (level 1 chest). The Fallen City also contains a chest (level 3 chest) with a level 3 weapon. It is located to the NW of the map behind some crates.
You and Nihil0.0 are my favorite guys for this game. I bought it back in May and stopped playing because it felt sluggish but I was just heavy lol. He showed me how to play classes and you showed me how to maximize farming runs for the best equipment
10:41 I always make my own strength things. It's called vigor extract. It boosts strength for a time, at the cost of lowered defenses. I made 999 of them but I forget how to make them. You can look it up on the wiki. But I don't really care about lowered defenses when I'm shooting daimon and killing him in 10 seconds (:
The Godsbane method is when you save before a chest/boss, loot the chest or boss... if you don't get what you want, simply Godsbane, "retry" that save, and try again. Works like a charm.
cloudbloom i agree to an extent it had fun playin it I’m playing it right now but it had so much potential and to they kind of fucked it up love to see a re boot
Well, if your pawn gets hired you'll always get a bunch of RC. Also, Bitterblack is a treasure trove of RC, especially if you have the Drake, Wyrm, and Wyvern tears in your inventory. I'm also reasonably sure that there are a few solid farming techniques for them if you've got the patience for it.
Love your videos man, you put so much obvious effort and time in..and you reply to a ton of your comments. Happily subscribed and looking forward to more of your vids!
Excellent video, very helpful. Sadly, my level 110-ish save got corrupted somehow and I had to start again, although playing through the game again is just as exciting as the first time
18:50 After some experimenting I've found the order is fixed. So if you had four armors and you liked the first and fourth items you got as mages, but the second and third as rangers just purify the first as mages, switch to rangers, purify the second and third, switch back to mages and purify the fourth. The flip side is, if you liked the first item as both mages and rangers you're shit outta luck.
Just a tip when it comes to the spellcaster rings. They always say something like "Ingle>High ingle" but in reality they always turn those spells into grand spells, even if you only have the starting level an not "high whatever". You'll never see a ring that says "high whatever>Grand whatever"
I like grabbing one sorcerer/one ranged class. The reason I pick sorcerers is because Ms. Gogurt is a sorcerer with a utilitarian inclination meaning she will often mirror other sorcerer's spells making them stronger. I would say set your pawn to the vocation that best supports your play style and never (EVER) set your pawn's primary inclination as guardian.
Appreciate the help sir any and all is welcome ;) I've since moved on after getting that plat and destroying BBI to make a dent on my huge pile of games but who's to say I wont get called back to Gransys :)
trophy armor is behind a moonbeam door - the one furthest on the left along the staircase that you run down to enter the area (the courtyard area - the name is escaping me right now)
There is a shortcut in the bloodless stockade, instead of running down that long winding square staircase. there is a hole in a grate opposite a small waterway that leads to a hole that will water slide you to a spot just behind the monsters on the lowest level. a bit tricky to find the first time.
Heeding Yasha Kato's advice, I've found that if you fancy the magick archer and have its vocation rank high/maxed, Great ward arrow is even better. No money spent on items and not as much curatives, so weight is lower. The move grants IMPERVIOUS, which cures all debilitations, and prevents them for a time. But the only downfall i know is that if you fight Daimon you might have to rely on your pawns more.
Magick archer is Blue/Yellow so you have a chance to get a ring for the for magick archer because you're vocation is "Yellow". Mystic knight is Red/Blue so you have chance to get mystic knight gear even if you're pure fighter. I've received the diabolic shield (pure mystic knight shield) from being ONLY fighter classes (me and my pawn). It's the way the purification system works unfortunately. It doesn't even take into account gear you've already received (so you spend money of RC's).
I actually fight Daimon as a Strider, Ranger, or Sorcerer. As a Strider, I use mostly Melee actually, and as a Ranger, I use Reaper's Arrow instead of Tenfold Flurry. It actually hits harder than Tenfold does if you time the shot right on the full charge. As a Sorcerer, I almost exclusively use Grand Ingle. Takes FOREVER, but you definitely feel good beating a boss using a Vocation that isn't really good for it.
Hey guys I found something out the some of you may not already know. It isn't always night at bitterblack isle. It only looks night. I noticed this when I equipped bloodlust and there was no change in my stats. I went back to an inn slept until night fall went back to the isle that is when there was a change. I don't know if the day night cycle gets locked at the isle or if it follows the same pattern but I do know that if you use bloodlust make sure it is nighttime at the inn.
I have found that when you return to Gran Siren to rest at the inn, rest 4 days and run to Madeline and her 2 Conqueror's Periapts will be restocked, so you can get 4 before returning to Daimon once more. That way you have 4 every time you do a Daimon run. Takes about 5 minutes offline on a ps3
After you kill the final boss and get the chests, if you use a lift stone you can wrap out without closing the shortcuts. Go to sleep I'm cassardis about 7 times and then you can come back and do the run through again. I figured I would tell people because it's faster and I couldn't find anyone on the Internet who said it clearly.
IMO it is DEFINITELY worth it. There are tons of new enemies (including Death, who can kill you or your pawns instantly and if he hits a Pawn they are instantly forfeit), tons of new gear (and you can find gear that was end-game gear in the original almost immediately at Bitterblack Isle), and IMO one of the most enjoyable final bosses I've faced in the form of Daimon. And yes, the gear is incredible. The gear you can get from Lv.3 Cursed objects can blow Ur-Dragon gear right out of the water.
Just some info if u need anything drangonforged 2 traditional red level fight the undead dragon with the wight and it will df anything that is a 12 or 3 level so don't worry abt finding materials 2 upgrade until u need to rarefy. (Disclaimer this is only for level 12&3 weapons an armor I have not tested non upgraded gear yet.)
At the time of this video it was roughly my 70 - 80h time hitting the boss. Honestly if you aren't finding anything in the chests on the way to the boss - I would just keep going (as you see I do in this video). The exp (assuming you aren't level 200) and loot you get from the final boss is what we're after and the faster you get there the more level 3 items you'll accumulate (using the godsbane technique after the boss). Furthermore, I don't even rest in between runs as it wastes time. Enjoy!
Hey ManufacturedOpinionn just a tip to help with getting specific items for each vocation, just purify 1 item at a time not all together. yeah it takes more time but you won't waste any gear. Also I've noticed that if you purify a level 3 armor that turns out to be the oblivion helm when you vocation change its Hellfire helm and the Carrion Veil. Not totally sure which sets are linked to each other I need to do more testing but I know those sets are linked. also the hellfire set has a cloak
I'm not sure how it works on PS3 - I didn't think they were selling the DLC separately. If you read the description it should say if it comes with the full game or not.
Just to help some PC players, If you are looking for Bitterlblack weapon level 3's Go for the Bloodless Stockade Chest #12 (the one right when you run down the stairs with the damn bats, go through immediate tunnel on the right at the bottom of the stairs, make a left and jump through the hole in the wall with the water drenching it. that chest there has a better chance then the one in the fallen city***), save the game in front of the chest, then keep opening and godsbaning yourself until you get it ***The B'S has a 4.3% chance while Fallen City is about a 2.3% chance, unless you go for Daimon, which is a 100%
+Jodeadible if it's post Daimon then why can they just run through and get into the sanctum. ? Just save before every map run through if you are a ranger who have their pawns carry load of blast blalba...
Trọng Phan That's right as well, but if you haven't killed Daimon's 2nd form yet and need a lvl 3 weapon it's there, I just killed 2nd Daimon last night actually lol, and of course used the 4 periapts and taglius stuff with blast arrows, and then just godsbaned myself until i got both a lvl 3 armor and weapon.
I don't usually like telling people how to spend their money, but if you're a huge fan of Dragon's Dogma you will definitely love this expansion. If you haven't played Dragon's Dogma at all I would say it's definitely worth a look :)
I was wondering if I should do this. Would you want to see all the doors/moonbeam gem locations? I was thinking about just doing all the doors because you can always find a gem after Daimon.
If you're new the following is a spoiler: **The Ur-Dragon drops the heaven's keys. I recommend going to options and switching to offline mode as it's significantly easier to farm. Check out my "Ur'-Dragon Build" video for tips/tricks in fighting the Ur-Dragon :)
a pretty big and hard dungeon. some bug fixes, some new enemy placements (i think, i havent checked) in the main game, 3rd tier skills (built into rings not learned), more gear, a few new character creation options, and minor tweeks here and there. its good... if you really like dogma like i do then you wont regret it.
if ur at the top of the final boss head. and he did the fire explosion attack. just double jump if u r assassin or a yellow class. with a gd timing u'll dodge it and fall back again at his head. and continue what u r doing in the first place. cheers :D
I would agree with theNEWMASKSdudexxx, I'd suggest being AT LEAST level 80, enemies will still be relatively difficult for you; especially if you haven't beaten the normal game. Dark Arisen has enemies in it that can easily two, or even one-hit you. Best make sure you stock up on curatives, especially Pancea, enjoy DA once you get to it :)
i leveled ridiculously fast by farming daimon with Assassin/Ranger. i took 12 conquerors periapts, 5 liquid vim, and 120 blast arrows, and a few veterans periapts (combine dark crystal and malecryst). 1st form- liquid vim+4 conquerors Periapts+Veteran's Periapt. 2nd form- equip blast arrows and stun lock him. this will not only net you rare materials and BB LV. 3 items but tremendous EXP. happy hunting.
yes it took my awhile to realize why my skills weren't showing up as "grand" skills. I had to look in the status - skills section for ms. gogurt to see that it was upgraded. I had no idea! haha
You can buy Conqueror's Periapt from Madeleine at her shop in Gran Soren. I'll see if you can buy them during the NG+ when Fournival is found guilty. I think you can though.
You said the Mage ring wasn't "Grand," but all the skill modifier rings can make your skill(s) "Grand" - they just have to be level 2. The listed skill modifier(s) on the ring just state the skills they will +1.
nostalgia dust is cure all for pawn possession. if their carrying placative brew they'll cure themselves of possession. conqueror's periapt can be made ( I don't remember the exact combination).
I killed Daimon many times as a warrior doing close to 4000 damage per swing, and then stacked with conqueror's pariapts. Easiest way to cheese daimon is killing him with blast arrows/fivefold furry/conqueror's pariapts as an assassin though, literally less than a minute to defeat him.
i was a huge skyrim fan, i picked this game up just last week, it easily beats skyrim if you dont mind not being able to fast travel like in skyrim. fast traveling is different, but yea i'd say to definitely pick this game up if you can
do you know the loot manipulation method? Save before the chests - if the loot isn't something you want use the godsbane sword and retry. Keep hitting the chests until you find weapon/armor/novelty.
Hey Manufactured, love the videos awesome content as always keep the dogma videos coming XD, just a question ... how do you amass rift crystals in the millions? I play on the ps3 and my pawn just never gets rented so I cant see how I'm ever gonna reach those numbers!
The way they do enemies in this game is such a setup... You could probably feel like You could beat everything if you didn't have to clean the lesser monsters all the time. Sirens, blood gargoyles, Eliminators. Then if they're not enough for you. DEATH. Go ahead, run past any of them, bam, copies everywhere.
unfortunately I played this first before Skyrim. Bought skyrim, played for 3 hours then went back to dogma... Skyrim fight system is boring as fuck compared to dogma. Wasted $15 oh well
Play on Hardcore mode, use the double experience charms prior to defeating your high XP bosses. I.e Death had me increase 4 or 5 levels when I was around 150ish. I level everytime I fight Daimon took me one day to get from 150- 200, but I think there is an increased amount of xp for playing on Hardcore, dunno how much.
I made my character a small boy and he can run at least twice as fast as your character. Crazy how much character creation can change your character like that
So I did this run in May 2022 and unfortunately, I didn’t get any T3 cursed items. Gods bane myself a bunch of times and only got T2 stuff. Dunno what sup with not getting any T3 stuff
you could have got all 4 items you sounded interested in if you had written up a table of your results. purify the 'Gears' as Blue would have got you the "Mage ring" purify the 'Weapons' as Yellow would have got you "Framae Blades" purify the first 3 'Armors' as yellow would have netted you the "Gauntlets of Shadow" then switching back to red for the last 4 would have got you your "Hellfire Greaves"
I heard from lots of people that your Pawn's inclinations also change based on how you play. For example, as a Fighter, I tend to use Blitz Strike quite often, and little by little, my Fighter Pawn will also do it more and more. So, shouldn't it be recommended that your Pawn's vocation be the same as yours? But I also think it's a pain if I decide to be a Hybrid Vocation (I play Magick Archer, and my Fighter Pawn attempts to stay close to me since I attack from a range. What do you think?
+Big Boss Yes. They are basically giant worms that try to eat you. Whoever opens a maneater chest immediately ends up in it's mouth, meaning whoever *isn't* busy getting eaten needs to move quick to save the victim before they become lunch. Killing a maneater often leaves behind a cursed item that can then be purified.
How do you kill it quickly ? it's weakness i mean, i only killed it once before and many times come close to killing it and it runs away.i started getting ready to attak immediately after my pawn opens a chest of any kind in bbi, hell even in gransys i always remember maneaters like a horrible nightmare . _ . when it first popped out on me i admit a jumped like a little b****
Big Boss In my experience, a Ranger with a very strong bow can pretty easily kill a maneater. Generally, I'd just say hit it as hard as you can with physical attacks. Just be careful because maneaters also have powerful magic like Exequy (instant death within a small AOE after a few seconds pass) and some elemental spells like Gicel. I don't know if it has an outright weakness though.
Easiest way to beat boss is playing as a strider. Brain splitter destroys EVERYTHING Leaping stone then brains splitter with eminence augment or leaping stone, grab, then thousand kisses with opportunism augment he will die in a minute or so
If you're a higher level warrior can fight him without getting knocked off or down by anything takes five minutes without conquer. P.s warrior can break the pliers ^_^ and a wizard can do it in 2 with holy and charging light attack holy shotgun ftw the wizard does need the demon buff times 4
To Dragonforge things the equipment needs to be atleast on its first star upgrade (which doesn't require any materials, ust some money) to make it elligible for Dragonforging....
I've been Godsbaning the chests in Lost City for a while now, and the loot doesn't seem to change unless I leave the area and come back. Trying to get the Weapon Lvl 3 from the chest along the right.
Great content, even 4 years later these videos are still relevant to a new crowd.

I found this game for PS3 at a flea market a few years ago for $2 and I still play it today, amazing game, can’t wait for the sequel
it's nice how if you look at the cover of the game the final boss is like 5 miles tall but in real life he's only like 20 feet tall

a pretty big and hard dungeon. some bug fixes, some new enemy placements (i think, i havent checked) in the main game, 3rd tier skills (built into rings not learned), more gear, a few new character creation options, and minor tweeks here and there. its good... if you really like dogma like i do then you wont regret it.
if ur at the top of the final boss head. and he did the fire explosion attack. just double jump if u r assassin or a yellow class. with a gd timing u'll dodge it and fall back again at his head. and continue what u r doing in the first place. cheers :D
no, my experience has been he respawns immediately after you leave out the exit. although chests and some enemies are time sensitive.
ive noticed that where you saw death is one awesome place to farm him. take him out alone n a veterans ring on and your looking at lvl 200 in no time
I would agree with theNEWMASKSdudexxx, I'd suggest being AT LEAST level 80, enemies will still be relatively difficult for you; especially if you haven't beaten the normal game.
I had no idea! haha
I noticed you have tons of RC. What is the easiest way to farm those?
You can buy Conqueror's Periapt from Madeleine at her shop in Gran Soren. I'll see if you can buy them during the NG+ when Fournival is found guilty. I think you can though.
not post game - you can do this any time you like - just be aware that the enemies are pretty damn tough
yep..although I found the level 3 magic archer bow when I was the ranger vocation so that should work as well.
try increasing your magic resistance through new equipment/rarefying. I noticed that I stopped getting knocked off once I increased those resistances.
Wasted $15 oh well
@ Shadowvex101: Yes you can! Or doing all and writing them down works too.
no problem im still accepting all requests, just won't be back on my ps3 for a few days to accept em, but i will when i can :)
Thanks for the vid, helps quite a lot.
Respect for doing it the hard way.
I notice boss and enemy difficulties or levels scale with your pawns level. Lower level pawns make the bosses and enemies easier.
9:32 Eliminator: I'm going to get there first!!!! Arisen: Nope (;
Crazy how much character creation can change your character like that
That's one the best perks 😉 in this game more realistic game play feel as if I'm actually the character 😉
So I did this run in May 2022 and unfortunately, I didn’t get any T3 cursed items. Gods bane myself a bunch of times and only got T2 stuff. Dunno what sup with not getting any T3 stuff
Still looking for a Warrior ring with Corona Slash//Arc of Deliverance. Definitely want to see how truly devastating those moves can become.
you could have got all 4 items you sounded interested in if you had written up a table of your results.
purify the 'Gears' as Blue would have got you the "Mage ring"
purify the 'Weapons' as Yellow would have got you "Framae Blades"
purify the first 3 'Armors' as yellow would have netted you the "Gauntlets of Shadow"
then switching back to red for the last 4 would have got you your "Hellfire Greaves"
What do you think?
there are several spots from the beguining of bitterblack to the labarynth thqat have weapon lvl 3 cursed as well ...
Ive been watching your videos for quite somet
What is a man eater? They pop out of chests?
+Big Boss
Yes.
Big Boss
In my experience, a Ranger with a very strong bow can pretty easily kill a maneater. Generally, I'd just say hit it as hard as you can with physical attacks. Just be careful because maneaters also have powerful magic like Exequy (instant death within a small AOE after a few seconds pass) and some elemental spells like Gicel. I don't know if it has an outright weakness though.
For me, great windmill does it in fast. So hundred, thousand kisses can do it too.
GitGudTV it's a Hall and Oaths song brother
Easiest way to beat boss is playing as a strider.
Brain splitter destroys EVERYTHING
Leaping stone then brains splitter with eminence augment
or leaping stone, grab, then thousand kisses with opportunism augment
he will die in a minute or so
Damn... that's insane! Is that just the weapons or is it the weapons and armour?
And you can also upgrade equipment beyond Dragonforged now. :)
What mace is that and where did you get it? Awesome video by the way!
If you're a higher level warrior can fight him without getting knocked off or down by anything takes five minutes without conquer. P.s warrior can break the pliers ^_^ and a wizard can do it in 2 with holy and charging light attack holy shotgun ftw the wizard does need the demon buff times 4
i want to get the best daggers and then the best magic bow so what combo would i use for me and the pwn on each try?
To Dragonforge things the equipment needs to be atleast on its first star upgrade (which doesn't require any materials, ust some money) to make it elligible for Dragonforging....
have you found a way into that balcony area near the top? I tried jumping from a dragon and levitating but I couldn't make it
I've been Godsbaning the chests in Lost City for a while now, and the loot doesn't seem to change unless I leave the area and come back. Trying to get the Weapon Lvl 3 from the chest along the right.
Happened to me twice in Dark Souls except your save file can get corrupted by just rage quitting
26:54 , when you wear it IT TURNS those into grand , it doesnt say grand on the ring for some reason , it just says it upgrades those
This guy better come back if they ever make a Dragon’s Dogma 2
