  • The horrific details of the Idaho Killings are revealed by the foremost authority on this True Crime mystery. New York Times best-selling author Howard Blum has covered every aspect of the case since the murders occurred in November 2022, and he lays out the moment-by-moment account of what he believes happened in spine-tingling detail.
Brian Kohberger sits in jail, waiting to be tried in 2025. While a weapon has never been found, the incriminating circumstantial evidence seems overwhelming, pointing to the method and motive Blum believes Khoberger had. Every aspect of this horrible crime is described by the award-winning journalist who knows the families of the victims, the prosecutor, and the key characters in Moscow, Idaho, and he's sat through every court hearing.
For anyone fascinated and shaken by this story, watching this episode of One Degree of Scandalous on Tom Zenner Scandal might make it clear that the police and prosecutors have found the right person responsible for this crime-but could Kohberger somehow walk on a technicality of how DNA evidence was acquired?

This guy is full of crap. Firstly, his supposition that the murderer is unfounded. Why doesn't he think that the murderer opened Kaylee bedroom door and seeing no one there, just moved on to the next door? And if Ethan "came out" to confront him, why isn't his body found outside the bedroom? If he drug him back in the room, there would still be a massive amount of blood in the hall from the sliced jugular ...and he keeps mispronouncing Xana's name, which is just annoying...

His parents seem like decent people, that also seem aware their son is an odd duck. Sadly, it was reported that his father was so proud of his son, referring to him as Dr. BK disgraced his family. I think BKs family walked on egg shells with him and maybe they were always expecting the other shoe to drop. Well, it did. Maybe they're relieved he's in prison, he's no longer their problem. Shouldn’t matter to the defense or the prosecution. The facts are the facts. If the prosecution has the evidence to lock him up and prove his guilt it doesn’t matter where it’s held. That was a chilling 10-min opening to your question to Howard Blum …’how did this happen?’ What an incredible answer-vivid. He (Howard) brought the dreadful scene to terrifying life. All I could think about was Dylan’s brush with death. How close she came to being yet a 5th victim. I’m wondering how traumatized she must still be - how long if ever do you recover from that incredible close call.
One question never got answered though-how the parents of the slaughtered kids feel about the 8+ hr delay in the surviving roommates calling 9-1-1. Had any of the 4 stayed alive long enough for an immediate response to have mattered, possibly saved a life (?). But it sure sounded as though this killer was adept with a hunting knife and knew how to do the most damage within seconds. For the parent’s sake I hope they learned that all lost consciousness instantly. To compare this author to Truman Capote’s brilliant nonfiction novel “In Cold Blood” sets a pretty high bar indeed. Just reading that was traumatized me for a long time.

Okay 17 minutes in, he mentions he probably met her at the vegan resturant. I remember the owner saying it was false he was ever there. That was made up by old employee. Then he says Ethan confronting him and then being stabbed and laying on floor. There was blood coming out of the outside will where the bed sat. The affidavit said "also in the room" but never said he was on the floor. I would bet he got Ethan while he slept and the bed was against wall and that's blood that came out. Xana was probably in the bathroom and came back in to find it. Time will tell when the trial finally starts in though.

She did but shes wrong too. J Embree thinks hes on the right track and he is the closest of any Y Tuber. BUT…. There is a PROTECTED CI WITNESS. This is WHY the Prosecution is So Firm about their Conviction. Im a local followed the case immediately from day one. Ive been a member of a ID4 FB page where we believe BK was Pappa Roger and spoke to many of us on the page until the day BK was arrested in PA. Many things that Blum mentions are ALL Speculation. He has gathered intell from many sources one of which is our page imo. If COV is granted I believe it will be in Nez Perce County where BK attorney AT defending another DP case. ADA Co is a hardship for the family.

It's really crazy how many people on the internet think he's innocent. It's almost statistically impossible that he's not the killer. Family friends of kohbergers have reported that his own family started to wonder if he was a suspect after his weird behavior back in PA.

Great episode! The case is so interesting. I follow it but had never heard of the Kirkers. I think a lot things will come out during trial, and I wonder if the defense will get a chance of venue. I teach stats, and it was interesting how the defense sampled members of the community to see what biases are out there. The fruit of the poison tree argument is very interesting with regard to the genealogy websites. I thought CeCe said they can use it as a tip only, so if that was probable cause, that could be a problem. So sorry for the families in this case. Howard was a great guest - I like how he told the story and what questions you guys posed. Can't wait for the next episode, and good luck to your daughter at BC!!

If you follow the case you would know Blum got several things wrong. The Church is one angle, The Arian Bro is another angle, Greek life is another angle, Sorority girls another angle, the Drug cartel another angle, U Of I angle, Corrupt LE an angle and lastly Brent K an angle. Only ONE of these angles does Blum mention. He has limited knowledge on this case and wrote his book from one angle. I will wait until trial because I know its possible he did it. But I also know there are yet too many unanswered questions.

Firstly, it wasn’t a quiet night that night, I have seen police footage right next to that house!
Secondly, Bryan didn’t stalk any victims, so why would he go up to kill maddie if he had no idea who these people are. There is no connection with these people.
Apparently no dog barking. And they didn’t hear I wont hurt you, they said it was “I’m here to help you”
That doorway is very small he would of had to of bumped into Dylan if that’s what happened.
My guess is he want to sell his book! It’s all about money! Convicting a guy before you hear any evidence! Even the defense has no actual evidence given to them! Just my opinion 🤷‍♀️

He hasn’t turned over his alibi bc the prosecution won’t turn over cast data!! He said DAY 1 during arrest to check his geo data & it will clear him. Did they? No! Not only that - they didn’t accurately collect it & they have withheld it!! Thank goodness Sy Ray got added onto the case. Kohberger specialized in cell/cloud tech forensics. He KNEW he’d have a foot print, especially if his phone wasn’t off. It very well could have been out of service. No one here looks like a 20’s college guy but I know in my college years, driving around at night was a thing we all did.. just listening to music or decompressing. Is the frat guys “being asleep” what u call a strong alibi? This show is ridiculous. The defense HAS SHOUTED HES INNOCENT!!

There were also many hours of multiple body cams in the specific area around BK's apartment (hit and run incident) late into that Saturday night and Sunday morning. You can see and hear how loud it was there, so even someone without a long standing nocturnal driving habit may have easily taken a drive to find some peace. I hope the new judge can make the prosecution hand over BK's evidence.

32:31 I’ve heard at least THREE interviews of verified friends of his speaking of his personality, hanging out w him socially… don’t do the incel thing.
Yall mention his doctorate & think the guy is going to parade around the scene in his own car. Can’t have it both ways. They need to look deeper bc Kohlberger isn’t adding up. They told us the car would be a treasure trove, they said so much evidence would come to surface.. tear apart his drains… nothing. They jumped the gun & there’s too much ego to just do the right thing.
We keep getting pushed narratives like this show with no merit. Those of us who CARE about these kids & care about justice are out here paying attention & know this case inside & out. You guys are no better than Nancy grace. Bryan could very well be innocent. Spinning these unwarranted narratives have biased this case & could cost another kid their life.
