oh okay i just didn't want anything bad to happen and I'm not Jessica im actually her son i love your channel i just replaced an engine on my mini bike i blew my old one on Saturday. i think you are the only TH-camr who actually replies so thanks. i have an old Hawg Ty mini bike those 212cc engines are INSANE. but i tried to use my old centrifugal clutch and frond drive chain but i just had to buy new ones . $30 nd while i just started my new engine my throttle cable broke!! lol bike life
Select cutting is good for a forest everyone once in a while, although clear cutting is not. The forest eventually regrows after a clear cut but it takes a really long time.
I like these back to your roots builds. I started watching your channel when you worked on gokart frames and minibikes. Its nice to see a minibike build again. P.S, I dont understand how you dont have a lot more subscribers. You do great work and videos.
I'm new to the mini bike scene but have been binge watching this channel. My question is who builds the MB 200?...Coleman, Massimo or other? I want a bike with duel suspension and have been looking around.
I'm just gonna keep saying it until you see it: You need to rig up a chain tensioner. There's a guy here on youtube called BWX who has a video of a really neat one that's dead simple to make and bolt on. Once you get that made you'll actually have some suspension travel in the rear and you won't have the chain trying to rip out the crankshaft every time you hit a bump anymore.
@@RedBeardsGarage The issue is that the chain tightens when the suspension lowers though, you can replace all the bushings you want but it won't fix the swing arm being out of alignment with the output sprocket on the torque converter. The only fixes I've seen for that is either completely rebuilding the rear end from scratch or getting a slightly longer chain and using a tensioner. You can see the problem in action just by unbolting the shocks and moving the rear tire up and down by hand.
I'll be watching this MB200-2s career with great interest! ✌😉 But I do wish RB would take rear shocks off and see what happens when swingarm is compressed. It might be different on his. It only takes 30 seconds to unbolt top shock mounts. I did mention it in a comment last MB vid here but not sure he understands what I was talking about or saw comment. Shorter shocks help though and I think his might be shorter than 12", can't remember now. But that will help the problem if they're shorter.
@@bwxmoto Not sure why he wouldn't understand it. Anybody who has owned a dirt bike would/should know this. If I had one of those bikes I would get a dirt bike style chain guide. Someone, maybe even GPS sells them. But it looks like accurate fab work and welding is needed to attach it to the swingarm. No moving parts. RB may have fixed the problem. The whole structure of those bikes flex causing the chain to be loose under certain conditions.
@@Deucealive75 Hey how's it going. Yeah the twisting and rubber bushings don't help at all for chain alignment changes and RB fixed all that so that has to help. But if he adjusts chain too tight and hits big bumps, I think it might still destroy things. After looking at the frame for another year, I think the rubber bushings the engine cradle and jackshaft mount uses might have been put there to help with the problem in the first place. If the chain tightens too much, the entire engine cradle can move a little to compensate (within reason with stock 11" shocks). But RB deleted those bushings, so there will be no more flex and all that tension will go back to the chain. If he has 12" shocks I think it'll still rip itself apart. But it would be cool if he would check and see what happens, it only takes literally 30 seconds to check chain slack at top of suspension travel by unbolting both top shock mounts.. If they bust up their chains again, I'll know why though. Mine's been solid but I'm not racing and don't have 20+ HP but I do hit giant bumps and small jumps. 🤷♂
I have a question about chain size that I can’t seem to find an answer for.. I’m custom installing a 440cc duromax on a go kart… the sprocket takes a 520 chain. But I can’t find a 520 belt clutch for it.. what size chain should I go with that will be able to handle the extra hp
If you put a washer or a nickel in the end of the hand grip prior to installing the grip, it will keep the handlebar end from breaking through the end of the hand grip if the bike falls over.
Do you think you can help me a little more on those bolts you got they look awesome. It is the 212 package on the site or do I have to look for them individually
The way the air filter sticks out have you found it getting wet or muddy when going through mud and water? Could you have a 90 degree and point it upward? would that work well?
If you are just wanting to clean the shock seems like diesel would be better than oil. Oh they do make measuring tools for the garage. I have one somewhere. If you want accurate values for how much oil you have it is best to weigh it. Depends on how exact you want to be.
I have a trail master and the rear shocks are too stiff so I went to the go power sports page to buy new ones however, they have many many different types so if you could, please advise me on which ones to get I would appreciate it. Thanks again.
Hey there, love the builds and content. Have a Trailmaster myself, can't find the answer, but how many Honda fenders did you use? 1 or 2 and cut them up.
Hey bro I own a Massimo mb200 carb F'd up so I'm thinking of getting a predator 224cc. My question is will the jackshaft match up with the sprocket for my mb200 . Please give me any installation references you have please
Hello, so im copping a coleman ct200 from my friend for 400$, says its barely or not used at all i believe, but i dont know much about mini bikes or engines and i stsrted to do sum research and came across your videos, well, i was wondering if its a decent first starter mini bike, i wanna learn to work on engines and stuff like that so would the mini bike help to get that going?
I bought same mini bike in the video brand new and sometimes when coming to a stop the torque converter won't disengage and will stall the engine. Also the torque converter jerks when accelerating from a stop. Any idea what’s causing it?
These tanks suck. I think I’m going to switch to an American made Harley peanut tank on my bikes. They cost a lot but better than replacing them ever couple of months.
HI Red....love the videos..........have a question about the Trailmaster 200x ...just bought 2 and one is doing ok, but the other one, both 2 weeks old , has a issue with stalling out at speed, like its running out of gas ...always restarts ...but my wife is getting pissed ...also her bike has a big ringing sound and rattle at the clutch area.only at idle,.took it apart and all looks well to me, Im actually a Aircraft Mechanic ..by trade ,,,but im baffled ..any tips would be great Craig
Can you tell me if the mb200 will handle a 320-330 pound dude? I want a mini bike for campground cruising or racetrack pit stuff. But im a big guy. Top speed doesnt really need to be that high. 15-20 mph max. Thanks for any response.

How this channel isn't at a million subs is unreal. Best content on this type of stuff you could ask for.
We appreciate the support man.
I agree. Red Beards Garage and Rather Be Welding should both have more subs than Cars and Cameras
@@blueracercam20 I disagree I love rbg but not rather b welding I think cars and cameras has the best content but to each there own
So true!
@@waynelogan9162 I watch all of those for different reasons.
Out of those Red does the best bike stuff IMO.
The chemistry between Mr & Mrs Red Beard when they do a build together just have me smiling n laughing through the whole episode 😊 love you both 👍🏾👍🏾

Fat buddy cat is that dude

It’s great to see a mini bike Monday
This is the Predator 224 DUKE-KART Sprinter minibike, red, white, black and silver chrome for the WIN !!!
love the sound of oiling the shocks, you should use that sound for something
Maybe you have some interesting ideas in mind lol
From what I’ve seen and heard Go PowerSports needs to step up their game on shipping stuff out here lately.
You guys didn't list where you got those fenders? Would love a pair for my bike. Great idea for mounting them!
❤️🔥❤️🔥 Wow that is awesome! Can't wait for the meet up! Great job, Mr. & Mrs. Red Beard!
I just got my first go kart and this channel is very helpful
Thank you for watching!
Really glad to see a minibike build instead of the Dyno stuff again. Nice little break from watching engine mods and Dyno pulls
I agree
RBG Skills 👍☮️
Mr red beard how about some links to those dirt bike fenders front and rear please

use liquid dish soap. when it dries it is very sticky. and just need to get water under it to take it off (which is quite hard to do.)

Us dirt bike/quad guys are wincing at the fact that you cut up honda plastics
Of all things I would want the carburetor up and over the little motor. The way you ride it would be better that way.
We honestly have never had a problem with it there. I do agree though I should make a custom manifold for it to tuck it out of the way.

Adding preload to a sling does not make it stiffer. It can and will make the chassis ride higher but the spring rate is exactly the same.
Will you make a two wheel drive version of the MB200 (chain to the front wheel)?
