    I think it speaks volumes about the Messick company and philosophy that Neil speaks so honestly and frankly about his previous experience with the existing tractor. I doubt you would find many other dealers who would be so honest about the brand they sell. If anybody ever had doubts about doing business with this company, this should solve that for you!👍

    Neil you remind me of the owner of a car dealership I worked for. He would let his staff choose a vehicle each year to drive, the only condition was that if a customer came in and liked it, it was sold and they got a replacement. Good luck with your new tractor.

      I think its B8785 for the LX3310. That's what it says on the Kubota build my tractor site. Messick's website that says that's for the b series though. www.messicks.com/ku/84633

      the latch on my new LX3310 absolutely drove me crazy for weeks, horrible rattling/squeaking sound heard way over the engine. Tap on the hood, it would stop (for 20 seconds LOL). I probably spent 6 hours trying different things in order to fix it, then finally put a cable tie around the assembly under the hood and pulled it tight to reduce slop in the latch. Knock on wood, it has been noise-free ever sense. good luck.....

      You got to believe that the B3350 was a real turkey when even a Kubota salesman admits that it was "problematic." I remember one guy in the forums had one and he was told that his engine problems were related to snow going in through the air intake.

    I am just curious why you decided on the LX3310 rather than the Grand L 3560? They both are in Kubota deluxe tractor world and the hydraulics and weight is better on that smaller Grand L model. If I go the Kubota route for a compact tractor, I have it narrowed down to basically those two models.

    • @MessicksEquip
      @MessicksEquip  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Too big for me.

    • @jimmcknight3021
      @jimmcknight3021 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      But when I read the specifications on the smallest of the Grand L , the 3560 , it appears that it is not as wide as the other larger engine sizes in the Grand L series. I thought the 3560 is around 60 in in width whereas the LX series is approximately 54 inches in width. Did I misread the specification on these two models or by being too big are you talking about the weight? Also I liked the way the treadle pedal is designed on the Grand L versus the more traditional Kubota treadle pedal on the kubota's that I've seen. I was just wondering if the LX was using that type of design that I've seen on the new Grand L.

    I really love your presentations and wish your Dealership Network would expand to Central New York where the Family spread is located. There is a Kubota Dealership up that way but not to be overtly hateful "they suck." Looking forward to expanding the spread big time going into 2021 beyond the current 70 acres which is tiny obviously "spread standards" but I can see a couple thousand acres in the future given how bankrupted the entire Region has been forced into "thanks" to the disaster of the politics about Covid-19 which looks set to bankrupt the entire Central New York Region and imminently.

    I am one of those who own a B3350. I READ the directions, I FOLLOWED the directions, and advice from other satisfied owners and after about 4 years I love my B3350. If you are willing to follow the protocol faithfully you are going to be able to pick up one of these tractor at a very very reasonable price. They have a bad reputation, maybe or maybe not deserved. I purchased my used one year old. The previous owner was a company that had different employees use it and the complaint was that it was always shutting down. I did my research and that included listening to Neil give a tutorial on how to operate it and have been very pleased both work wise and economically wise.

    I bought an after market seat for my L2501. Shame on Kubota for going cheap on the factory seat. And really, no arm rests? Would it increase the cost that much? And as Neil pointed out, a comfortable seat is important.

    • @jaxturner7288
      @jaxturner7288 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The L 01 series is the budget lineup, so a cheap seat is to be expected.
      Shame on you for not doing your model research and realizing what you were buying.
      I mean, with a L2501 you chose the cheapest model for it’s larger size, with the cheapest engine option and the cheapest/ lowest trim package.
      Now you want the air ride seat with armrests?
      Lol what seat would come in the nice models then?
      If you want the nice features then maybe don’t buy the cheapest model.
      Seems obvious, but here you are with a L2501 crying about a cheap seat.

      @@lawrencebessette754 the L2501 that I rented seemed like a beefy frame workhorse to me, with R-1 tires it pushed in dirt great and it lifted more than I needed it to that’s for sure.
      However, It was slightly underpowered for the 72 inch tiller they sent with it. The seat seemed fine as long as I didn’t lean to far. ( you L guys know what I’m talking about) besides wanting a little more power, the pto engagement lever and the clutch were really annoying compared to that on the b3350 I had rented previously to the L.
      The emissions stuff was beeping and stinking while I had the B3350 n that did suck.
      The seat comfort never crossed my mind on either so it couldn’t of been that bad.

      @@jaxturner7288 just one thing Jax rental companies turn them down a bit and have a way to booger up the seat censor to help people keep from rolling them over but you are spot on

    • @jaxturner7288
      @jaxturner7288 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@lawrencebessette754 that’s a great point! I definitely should of mentioned that and I wish more people would know that usually is the case when renting equipment.
      However, in my case I was shopping for some new equipment and I thought a compact tractor would do it so with all three of the different models I used they were new models prepped for regular sale. Each had hours in the teens and twenties and they were used as demo units for potential buyers like me so they were checked to make sure they would preform to their full potential. They weren’t the turned down units from the standard rental fleet.
      I even double checked when the L was picked up because of the problem running the larger tiller.
      People definitely need to know tho...
      Standard rental equipment is regularly turned down in power and or pressures, leaving some people justly disappointed because the equipment won’t preform as the specs imply. It should be false advertising. Not the case for me tho, 25 hp just isn’t enough for a tiller that size in our dirt and the 33 hp was troublesome in just the two days I had it.

      LX can run a mid PTO, and is available with a cab. If you want to snow blow or run a mid mount mower, you need an LX. If you don't need a cab or a mid PTO, the L2501 is just more machine for the money. It lifts more, it pulls more, it has a larger capacity engine and more torque. Neil. Have a question about mowing with the 72 MMM. How high can you mow? With my BX2660 I can set the mower on high and mow at 6". Useful for rough ground and pastures. Can you do the same with the LX3310? I understand that with pins the deck can be set not to drop with the 3 point hitch. Could you also run the midmount pto and hence the MMM without binding up the pto? My local dealer does not know. Thanks. Great videos keep up the good work.

    B2650HSDC owner here. Now that this model is in the L series vice the B series, what is the likelihood that Kubota will continue to make upgrades to it (or even totally redesign it)? I love my 2650, but would really like to see some of the larger L series features (HST plus, Grand L console layout, etc.) on this frame size. Any chance? Also curious if there’s any major differences in the cab model seats from B to LX; is it worth trying to put an LX seat in my B?

      @scottfechtig9668 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@lawrencebessette754 not talking about trading the whole tractor just for the seat, just wondering about an upgrade for my current seat. Currently, I get pretty stiff after a couple hours of mowing (but I’m also getting a little old). I looked through the Grammer catalogue but couldn’t find any decent upgrades that would fit in the B. They’re also pretty spendy (but I’m sure a seat from Kubota would be too). Suspension adjustment/travel on my current seat is a little lacking. It either compresses all the way to the bottom of the travel or it doesn’t compress at all. Just considering options...
