If you can pass the word up the chain I think your link to this vid can help the guys at the top see the need to modernize and implement any and all improvements that are currently standard for our region :) it would be great to see our LRT and MRT lines with the latest tech and well maintained lines and stations

Philippines LRT Line 1 was the oldest train system in SE Asia and still working and improving this 2023. The newest stations are Balintawak and Roosevelt and the ongoing Center Station that will connect it to LRT line 2, MRT 3, MRT 7 and the future subway project. I love Metro Manilan Trains so easy for me to go to work and enjoy shopping.

Fun fact: The MRT 3 in the Philippines actually has the smallest loading gauge of all 3 rapid transit lines but carries the most passengers. Meanwhile, the LRT 2 is actually designed as a heavy rail metro having the largest loading gauge yet remain heavily underused at an average of 200,000 ridership per day compared to it's 500,000 intended daily ridership design.

All this dick measuring in the comments, honestly as a Singaporean, yes currently our system is king in ASEAN but if any other ASEAN country comes up with a better system i would be glad to learn from them.We as a region has so much potential together to Rival the great powers like China or USA if we work together. All this clashing of egos between us is counter-productive it only serve to get us laugh at by the rest of the world. Personally i rather not be laughed at.

    • @aburn9891
      @aburn9891 ปีที่แล้ว +4

Exactly, I see no point in this nonsense discussion ~ we as a region need to look at the positives from eachother and other countries around the world and implement them to improve our own systems. Funny analogy though, it really does feel like dick measuring ~ only, we're measuring micropenises to a slightly longer micropenis and bragging about it.

Indonesia has various types of trains:
MRT phase 1 has been completed and operates 16 km, phase 2 will be completed in 2027 with the total length of phases 1 and 2 being 27 km.
The Long Jakarta LRT has been operating for 6.2 km, and phase 1B of the Rawamangun-Manggarai route will be built
      6Km opening target in 2024 a total of 12Km
Jabodebek LRT, operational length is 43 km serving the 3 Line route
      Dukuh Atas-Cawang 11Km
      Cawang-Bekasi 23 Km
      Cawang-Cibubur 19 Km
A new line will be added in 2025 with a total length target of 135 km
The Commuter Line has been operating since 1925 serving 5 Lines
      Jakarta-Bogor
      Jakarta-Depok
      Jakarta-Tangerang
      Jakarta-Bekasi
      Jakarta - Rangkasbitung
the total length of the commuter line service is 418 Km
and LRT in Indonesia is not only in the capital Jakarta but also in Palembang, unlike Malaysia which only exists in the capital Kuala Lumpur.
So how do you claim that Malaysia is in the top 2, that's just a biased and overproud comment from you as a Malaysian. If you've never been to Indonesia, don't talk about Indonesia bro, let alone to compare Indonesia and Malaysia, it will only make you embarrassed.

If you compare the lines to our LRT and MRT lines in the Philippines you can see how behind we are in infrastructure :/ why are our LRT MRT admins content with 1990s tech when all our neighboring countries have 21st century tech in their stations and on their lines and current stock? We’re not blind. We travel to neighboring countries sometimes on vacations or for business and work contracts. We watch regional and international media all the time. And we can clearly see the ineptitude for proper maintenance and timely modernization is so rife here! We’re always playing catch up. Even the general level of infrastructure and cleanliness sucks. Look how ugly the buildings in Manila (Recto) are compared with those in neighboring countries capitals.

Singapore should not have made LRT lines. The frequency and passengers it can carry are no different from a double decker bus. In some instance, it was faster to ride a bus than an LRT. They should remove it and replace it with an MRT track instead

I wanna say that all of the trains in Southeast Asia and Asean are getting better especially in the Philippines 🇵🇭, although 3 lines operating as of now LRT 1, LRT 2, MRT 3 but in the Future there will be a lot of MRT and LRT soon also The Philippines will have its First Subway . LRT 1 Use 4 generations trains , while LRT 2 Trains they always use other trainsets but some of them are out of service and keep upgrading all the time and the speed was reduced to 40-30 kph speed. The Speed of LRT 2 was up to 80 kph , but LRT 1 can speed up to 70 kph because 4g is now operating and ofc the upcoming extension. MRT 3 improve since last year and more trains running and they upgraded all of the 72 trains .LRT 2 is the slowest among the 3 lines because the speed was reduced after the fire at Katipunan and Anonas Station. That's why the speed reduced . Go Asean And the whole Asia and SouthEast Asia especially Philippines 🇵🇭 and other countries!! Proud to be a Filipino 🇵🇭
