      Maam I mean no disrespect but almost every judge prosecutor and police departments across America are the same way this judge is apart of a system that taught him that he could do exactly what he is doing! Don’t believe me go to any court house in the inner city pick any Black person and ask them is the judge prosecutors and police all on the same team and do Alot of illegal things to lock us up! No it may not happen in your community but in mine we have been saying this for generations and peoples deep seeded hatred for us made them not believe or they just chose to ignore but either way if this wasn’t televised yall most likely wouldn’t believe it I’m glad that the world is seeing what these people do to young Black men and some poor people across this country!

      The question that inevitably arises is this: How did this man ever qualify as a judge?
      This then leads to a second question, among his peers how did he ever become The Senior Judge of Fulton County?
      If the person refereeing the trial doesn’t know the Law, how can he possibly fulfil his role as arbiter of justice?
      It’s actually shocking.

      What I see (not being a lawyer, or American)… is this judge doesn’t know the actual law, and seems to go on his feelings … that’s no way for a judicial system to run.
      There is clearly existing law in place, which he selectively follows or rejects based on his own bias.
      The legal process is by definition adversarial … but he wants everyone to play nice and not challenge his flawed rulings

      @theresagomez2605 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +8

      It tells me the judge is a moron. He doesn't know the law. There's no reason for it to take that long just to pick the jury. He doesn't know Ex Parte is illegal; he thinks he can do it and it's just "confidential." He doesn't know the laws of contempt, when the judge is the only one who can impose such charges. He doesn't understand that telling a witness he will put him in jail indefinitely for not testifying, is witness intimidation. He thinks the 5th Amendment is a "privilege" when it is a Consitutional Right. He jailed a defense attorney, leaving the defendant without his counsel. The Ex Parte meeting was curiously held when the witness' lawyer was not available. The witness was intimidated with a stand in attorney at his side. Everything about this trial is a shitshow and the judge is the ringleader.

      Call me cynical, but I actually think that the only aim of this case is to keep ysl in jail until Fani & judge both get re-elected, so that they can give the appearance that they are effectively dealing with crime. They don’t seem to care that a possible guilty verdict would most likely be overturned on appeal. It’s just a chess game for them to achieve their own goals.

    A mistrial! for goodness sakes. That young witness and his mentality and lack of understanding of the whole procedures, was taken for granted or had been "bullied" into confessing. Then Mr. Copeland said, well then, I'll testify but I will lie. Why did the Judge allow this trial to continue? What a kangaroo court. It is in N.Y. and in Georgia. We are in trouble. Lord have mercy. Thank you. God bless you.

      That's not how RICO trials work... What the prosecution is trying to do is get key witnesses to flip and plead guilty for lesser sentences, then it's a domino effect with all the defendants. The problem here is that the defense team of high powered lawyers are running circles around the Judge and Ms. Love. I'm not saying who is wrong, or who is right, but it's clear that the defense attorneys are prepared on the actual case law and keep catching the Judge and Ms. Love unprepared.

The criminal justice system not really about justice, it’s too adversarial. It’s a legal fight and folks play it the best they can to win, skirting rules they can get away with it necessary to win, smh. Is what it is though and the rules are the rules. Just got to use the rules the best you can to protect yourself and those you love and care about.

  • @Finneganbeginagain1

    I don’t believe for a second that the judge will recuse himself or go through any process to make the right legal decisions. He’s been steadfast from the beginning of not admitting wrongdoing and will repeatedly push everything on the appeal process. I don’t have any faith that this will be corrected during this trial. I think that either the jury will fall apart and the DA will choose to prosecute again and waste taxpayer dollars or that this will be turned over on appeal if they get a guilty verdict and still have wasted taxpayer dollars. When the state came forward with over 700 witnesses before the trial even started, something should have been done about the size of the case. Meaning, these long wasted days with witnesses that either have repeat information, detectives that are combative, street guys unwilling to cooperate, have to have little to no impact for evidence that the jury can hold onto in a solid way because it’s way too much.

      Steadfast? He got caught red-handed and he's trying to use his position to bully his way out of it. Unfortunately for him, the whole world has now seen what's going on.
      He has no shame. He is so arrogant, he believes he can do what he likes without consequences. The day will come and I want to see it when he is disbarred and with any luck thrown in prison.

    • @Finneganbeginagain1

      Steadfast meaning he is standing on the ground that he’s not wrong. He’s resolute in blaming others. Not sure how you interpreted that but I didn’t condone anything that I believe he’s done in this trial. I don’t believe he will do the right thing and obey the law but will instead apply the law in his own favor. Which is why he keeps justifying everything.
