Love a Keith lab. Going to try it out first then come back to watch if I may.

This lab was interesting to me for a few reasons. First I decided to do this lab on real hardware with my 3560 8 port and a 1921.
    1. I wasn't able to run ospf on my switch because I only had the ipbase image.
    2. I upgraded my switch but my switch got stuck in a boot loop so I pressed and held the mode button on the switch and went into "switch" mode.
    3. Upgraded the IOS on the 3560 to the ipservices image using xmodem.
    4. Completed the 1st lab after 3 days.
    Thanks Keith for the video.

Following this lab step by step but my switch is ipbase and does not include OSPF as a feature. Once upgraded, I'm going to complete this lab.

Hey Keith, is it best practice to only use the network 0.0.0.0 with a wild card mask of 255.255.255.255 when trying to pulling in all networks in both live environment and or lab?

Thank you for the question Jose M. In a lab it it fine. In production you may be including interfaces that weren't intended. Also, in a lab where you have multiple areas, the router that is connected to both would need more granular network statements to let it know which interfaces are in area 0 and which interfaces are in a non-backbone area.

can i ask why this don't work?
    mls - network 10.1.0.0 0.0.0.255 area 0
    R1 - network 10.3.0.0 0.0.0.255 area 0

Thank you for the question lior.
On the MLS it has the addresses of 10.2.0.2 and 10.3.0.2
The 10.2.0.0 network is between R1 and MLS
On the MLS to enable OSPF you would want a network statement of:
      network 10.2.0.0 0.0.0.255 area 0
On R1 you would need the same network statement.
