Also, I would recommend you try out SOC: Update mod of shadow of chernobyl, it basically revamps the entire game with good graphics and gunplay up to modern standards while keeping the story in place. it is in russian, but there is an english patch. kudos!
Literally all day i googled for new mods what am i gonna play with my moderately upgraded pc. I read the modded anomaly comments several time and now this video appears. I guess you never leave zone, just kept coming back

I'm tempted but these take so much time! Last one I tried for like 3 months non-stop, failed over and over, and finally got it almost on accident when I stopped trying so hard. This could definitely keep me busy until Stalker 2 though :D

Personally I love the main mechanics in GAMMA, that I can't find in any other mod-pack. I won't waste time with this Custom or similar mod-pack, I'm stick to GAMMA.
For anyone wanting to try this modpack, currently: - Its still has long loading time like normal Anomaly Custom - AI difficulty is the same as Anomaly Custom - It will crash upon starting up new save - It will crash randomly due to the author still testing weapons animation mod - Graphics are kinda better than normal Anomaly Custom - Performance are horrendous (30-45fps) in some specific location (Dead City) while Normal Anomaly Custom is more stable - It has EFP magazine mechanic mod and gear degradation - Adding outside mods likely gonna cause a game Crash more than Normal Anomaly Custom and Gamma
Thanks for the modpack - the loading times in the previous mod were driving me insane. It was like old times around ShoC release, playing hard mods for Stalker and reloading a lot of times on old HDD. You've lost money with mutants parts because Butcher buys Common ones while Sakharov pays best for Rare and Uncommon. I always skip looting coins from mutants because it would cost more to sharped the knife
I played HayZee's modpack for a few days. Each day a new version + several patches were released. It's good but I got exhausted, and it's a bit unstable (or it was 2 days ago when I last played). Decided I'd wait a few months for it to get fine tuned.
yeah its hard to keep up with all the files that get dropped and then repacked and so on, hopefully the next time they say "final update for awhile" they stick to it.
yeah just yesterday there was another patch, and then that patch got another patch and the size grew from 3GB to 10GB. It's insane. The amount of busy hand bug and coloring issues stemming from enhanced shaders just makes me want to put it down until it gets stable. hate to say it, but I might be sticking with Anomaly Custom until then
@@trooper59 deleted my anomaly custom because lack of disk space for this, regretted it and deleted it after 5 consecutive crashes, it's so unstable that I got crashes by doing basic things like equipping a weapon or wiping my mask not to mention the gigantic size it has (119 GB after patches)
@@trooper59 I think it's the skinning and pickup animations causing the chronic busy hands. It instructs people to turn them off in the installation section on Discord. GAMMA has them disabled by default for this reason. It's HayZee's first time trying to put together and maintain a big modpack, so I will give him lots of leeway in getting it right hehe.
@@Aethelhald I've followed those instructions to disable skinning and pickup animation, but I've been hitting busy hands after using medical items, bandages, first aid kit, drugs etc. So I'm not entirely certain what's causing the issue even after following their suggestion
Cheeki you gotta do a series on the new COC modpack that just came out. Its called Stalker COC I.W.P. ... (Improved Weapon Pack) and its sooooo good. Got 20hrs in my self and had to switch to Novice cuz its that much harder. Enemies are more bullet spongy but its not too bad. All beautiful gunslinger anims with a plethra of new ones. The food/drink anims have a few new ones too. They look crazy good
I switched to this mod pack and the discord is super friendly but the mod is also often almost unplayable due to bugs. The creator is working hard on it so I'm sure it will turn out good soon
oh that's a neat feature. Not sure if anyone, or Cheeki comments on it but around 16:20 when he's climbing the hill his stamina goes down faster than going downhill. Sprinting downhill actually seemed to give stamina :D
I like the atmospheric wind/bird sounds - but it annoys me that there is a very clear loop to it after a while haha. I know it is a mod and not the modpack authors doing. Good stuff as always Cheeki. Maybe to a vanilla/light modded stalker run though all the games?

Why not do a Gamma Soulslike run where you need to change weapon when you die (but you can get all your old stuff aside from that). Could be a bit more feasable than another Invictus run, and show something a bit different gameplay wise 👀
Cheeki, keep your 1.1.7 files and install. You may end up liking it more than 2.0 forward. I ended up rolling back to 1.1.7 because its closer to Custom with the UI and features.
Does this modpack have the same super hard AI accuracy? I played 1hr of Custom Ork Edition and the bandits at the train yard sniped me with a ppk from half the map away, always.
Settings -> Gameplay -> Gameplay difficulty You'll have 2 sliders for enemy dispersion base and factor, you can change it to whatever you like. Closer to 1 they have aimbot, over 1.7+ they're blind. Generally around 1.2-3 is pretty fair / realistic.
Completely ignoring the politics and just focusing on the gameplay, is HayZee's Custom as good as the normal Custom? I was really really enjoying the Custom modpack so I just wanna know if this has the same features.

Loner forever! Ecologists are probably my #2, but it's a much more chill / less action oriented playstyle as most factions will be friendly. But I guess the zone itself is enough sometimes.
Try a Merc start, with accessible zone off. You have to start in Dead City with reasonable gear, and grind some quick cash to be able to unlock the path south via Truck Cemetery to the Bandit base to start your grind. Super rewarding, Mercs have a more action packed start/midgame than Loner, Freedom etc because they start hostile to Loners. But I agree, Loner forever.

There's a modlist (a bit outdated tho) on Hayzee's discord, feels a bit more generous and easier by default. I switched mostly because of the complete localization. But honestly, I'd wait until it's more stable, the updates are a bit too frequent. I didn't have stutters tho, i7 14700k, Rtx 2080, around 70-80fps.

The soundscape is a bit different (wow the breathing is annoying) and perhaps the atmospherics, maybe the grass? But otherwise I don't know what's so special about this. I'll stick to GAMMA.
There's too many little differences (between this and GAMMA) to say, but no real major differences. I'd say its biggest selling point over GAMMA is the sound. I was blown away by how much better than GAMMA it sounds, especially distant gunfire and wildlife. Much more immersive in that respect. However it's not as stable as GAMMA. It crashes a bit (which I'm sure will be fixed eventually), and I struggled to get a solid 60 fps, whereas in GAMMA I don't.
@@gghhoosstt1233 Yeah, Custom tries to stay closer to the feel of "Vanilla Anomaly". Like it's a huge overhaul of graphics/sounds/animations/weapons/etc but underneath it it's still much closer to Anomaly, unlike GAMMA which goes in a totally different direction.
This is the exact version of Anomaly Custom. All paths and files match 100%. He just re-uploaded it to another server with his name on it and added donations, lol. Oh and their dis also has same nazi shit but now from Ukrainian side. So no difference for me.

It looks like specifically buying fracture hands and selling them to Sakharov would have made good money, but the other mutant parts were a loss

Yeah I just finished downloading 2.0 with the 2.4 update, played a bit, liked the older version better :) Probably gonna stick to the old one!

I absolutely hated the grass when I played through this modpack, even on the highest settings for the textures and grass it looked horrible
There's too many little differences (between this and GAMMA) to say, but no real major differences. I'd say its biggest selling point over GAMMA is the sound. I was blown away by how much better than GAMMA it sounds, especially distant gunfire and wildlife. Much more immersive in that respect.
However it's not as stable as GAMMA. It crashes a bit (which I'm sure will be fixed eventually), and I struggled to get a solid 60 fps, whereas in GAMMA I don't.
@@Aethelhald Isn't one of the big difference is that you can't buy guns and must repair your own? more heavt focus on crafting stuff.
@@gghhoosstt1233 Yeah, Custom tries to stay closer to the feel of "Vanilla Anomaly". Like it's a huge overhaul of graphics/sounds/animations/weapons/etc but underneath it it's still much closer to Anomaly, unlike GAMMA which goes in a totally different direction.

This is the exact version of Anomaly Custom. All paths and files match 100%. He just re-uploaded it to another server with his name on it and added donations, lol.
Oh and their dis also has same nazi shit but now from Ukrainian side. So no difference for me.

This is on the pre-2.0 version of Hayzee Custom, the UI/Hud was not carried across in the 2.0 version.

its viciously dumb. AC is the best mod pack ive played and idgaf about the devs political views. Knew a guy way back total nazi but hed always give free shit. what im getting at is i didnt like the guy, but he had product - that was all it ever was. I get not wanting to satisfy devs by playing their game, but this shi is free and youre spiting them in a way with that fact. ie - weak mindsets

man... I love your videos. The drama from the last video was unnecessary tho. You now switched from a Russian mod to an Ukranian Nazi Azov mod.... what's the point? I felt that this game is uniting us all and we can leave the politics behind, be just enjoyers of the Slavik feel and the Stalker feel. You were my biggest influence a long while back to make me fall in love with GAMMA which is still my favorite today. I don't feel this drama helps our community or the Slavik apocalyptic game style at all. Let's be positive and focus on what makes these games so good while ignoring all the politics and drama. I just wish for all of us to enjoy this type of game and that we get our minds blown by how amazing an old graphics engine can still look and how captivating these old games can be when the community (all of us) contribute to their success. Let's just enjoy!
