Thanks for reviewing Goblin Vaults, Tom.
One rules clarification for anyone learning to play from this video - players end with 10 cards in their vault (instead of 9) because each player puts one card in their vault at the start of the game.

This is a fun, relatively quick crunchy game. Figuring out how to get your cards lined up and score points can be tricky. We definitely enjoyed our plays.

I've been loving my plays of this game. So much variability from play to play, maximizing your points with the cards that are dealt, strategically bidding and underbidding to get the cards you want. With so many scoring options, you'll never satisfy them all, but you can almost always do at least one. Surprisingly thinky for such a little card game, this one exceeded my expectations!

Good review. Will put this on my list as I enjoy the Roll Player universe and am intrigued by the game structure.

Just played this game a couple times and loved it. Good decision making, and plays easily in under an hour

This game also says it plays 1 to 2 players. It does NOT. This game should be 3 to 5. Don't call a game a 2 player game when you have to play a complete bid action with a ghost hand. While I do understand that some games at 2p require you do perform some type of action normally those actions are very limited. This game is not that way. You are playing and entire 2nd hand when you do not have 3 players.

The game plays great at 2 players - I’ve played it many times and I know many others who love it at 2p.
Not sure if you’re being facetious, but at 2p the “dummy player turn” is crazy simple. You literally just flip a card from a face-down pile - it takes 2 seconds and there is no decision making required by the player. Seems to fit your definition of “very limited.”
Enjoy whatever games you like, but yes - Goblin Vaults does play 1-2 players and it works really well at 2 players. (I’m not a solo player so I can’t speak much to solo).

There’s also a solo version in the game.

This game is the very definition of a PASS. Ya can't play all the games, the same as you can't read all the books or see all the movies.

While it's true all games are not for everyone, I've loved my plays of Goblin Vaults. To each their own, happy gaming!

      Agree that it’s all subjective.
There are lots of movies and books as different things appeal to different people.
Seemed like an interesting mash up of trick taking and auctions.
