- The newly crowned QUICKEST 6-SPEED GM CAR IN THE WORLD - This giant turbo 1100hp stick shifted camaro officially holds the record and proves he's quite a driver banging the gears to an 8.63 1/4 mile at Muncie Dragway July 27th 2014 at the Street Car Takeover Indy event
Pretty impressive. I don't watch that many drag racing videos, but to do 8 seconds through a manual seems impressive to me.
I like how it hesitates and bogs for a sec , the goes all out bat shit crazy lifting the wheels
Props to this guy, driving a real man's car. My dad used to drag his 69 Camaro at the track back in the 70s. Had a bored out LS6 454 with a 4 speed and got into the 9's. Currently working on my own 69 Camaro with a 4 speed. Nothing beats running through the gears.

My drivers side on my 02 SS is pretty quick, passenger side... not so much.
Mine literally will not roll all the way up unless you roll it up half way then wait 5 minutes then roll it up the rest of the way
I get the joke but it's always the passenger side that takes longer to roll up. It was that way on my 95 Z28 and my 06 GTO.

I'd go with a 383 ethier that or a 5.3l or 6.0l gm truck engine ethier the lq4 or lq9 heard that's what everyone's doing for a budget build these days heard they can hold a lot more power then the ls engines

This was done years ago with a six speed f body... It was a 3.8 liter v6 twin turbo setup. Not a record breaker and he needed two more cylinders !!

Corvette guys needs to practice shifting. A couple of those shifts he was already in the next gear when he hit the clutch.

My first cousin was a pro 5.0 racer and when he stopped racing he made his car street legal with a five speed and it would pull a wheelie too, I loved the looks on peoples faces when we went by on two wheels. Well legal all but the nos. But he never ran no where near this fast he was usually in the high 9's on slicks. Street tires it would do low tens which is fast for a street car. But props to this guy his car is a beast.
This thing awesome! I hope there is going to be more 1320 coverage of it in the future; I'd love to see it run in the 8.5s @ 160+. The 6 speed Mustang record is 8.58 @ 165, this thing isn't far behind!! Badass.

I'm from England where there obviously is no 'domestic' scene, we only have imports as you guys say and yes I'll admit, I'm obviously an import guy cos like I said we have no domestic scene but even I have to admit ... The sound of a tuned V8 is soooo fucking cool. Hearing 8 cylinders roar is a sound you just don't get over here
But the m6 beemer has a v8 and sounds good as well !
It's funny you should mention that. I was driving down the M1 and u got overtaken by a BMW M6, I must admit, it did sound good. He was also attempting to break the sound barrier so I didn't get to hear it for long lol

My friend's cousin once had an uncle who knew a neighbor with a girlfriend whose ex-husband's son-in-law ran 4.20's in his nephew's Honda S2000. It was completely stock except for the 3/4 racing cam and jet fuel.

good job bro, don't listen to anybody that tells you you cant make it work with a stick! I have a 8 sec duster with a jerico and a small block and like you said it takes a lot of tuning the clutch and suspension to get it to work but its worth it in the end. good luck with it.
