You might hear kind of overtone singing all the time. Ison (the low drone sound) is sung by Antoine Sicot (first from the left) who is a basso profondo and sings the base note octave lower, and Jerome Casalonga (second from the left) who is using kind of throat singing technique, overtone, that sounds 2 octaves lower. When the the other singer, Jean-Etienne Langianni (second from the right) takes the lead, Marcel Peres (conductor, middle) joins the ison singing in his normal voice, which resonates well with the low notes, so you may hear additional high harmonics - but this is a result of the interaction between their voices in tune, not an additional technique.

Beautiful music but a terrible recording... somebody close to the mic is shuffling papers and sniffling, and shifting about.
Not all of us like studio-perfected recording. The sense that this music is made and heard by human beings is part of why I find it thrillling.
