Hi Sarah...So sorry you didn't enjoy the train ride,i'm nothing to do with this railway,I just took a video of it.Building a railway in any area must rely on the available ground to build it and planning permissions. If you would like to comment on the line i'm sure you can do so by going on to the Sherwood Forest railway website. ..Regards Chris.
+John PennyHi John. This is my aim to show the public as many different railways they might like to visit. The times I have heard "I only live a short distant's away and didn't know the railway way there.....Regards Chris.
Nice to meet you and have a chat, will visit South Shields railway one day.Good luck with SFR extention and station area, the people awaiting train rides dont allow tickets to be sold and then they are in the way of people leaving the train just a bit of a log jam.
Glad you liked it Simon, they had another loco it was like a Wren, didn't think much to it as you wasn't allowed to walk around and video you are allowed in when there are no movements then you loaded up onto the train, would have been better with larger station area.
Yes they do Allan, even our 3 1/2,5" and 7 1/4 models all have to be tested, steam test every year,,, hydraulic, 2 yearly for a steel, four years for a copper boiler.....Hope that helps....Regards Chris
My daughters got me a 'steam train driver experience' at this railway for my 50th birthday. I absolutely loved it,
That's great, glad you enjoyed your day,if you like railways of any gauge subscribe to mine you will find loads to watch......Regards Chris

Why do they use lower quadrant semaphore as the upper quadrant?
+rzdmo Well spotted,I think some railways don't know the difference.Nice railway though......Best wishes..Chris
+wooltman Yes, it's lovely place. And I like the way the semaphore wing is operated by token =)
They was a sale on lower quadrant signals that was to good to pass up.
Will try but the Fuchsia showing time is approaching.
