- In the first of the 4x4 DNA Install Series, here’s our leading asked question, air control for the Y62 Patrol. On this car we install a a twin ARB compressor to the rear quarter panel and then hard wire the airbags via Airbagman air control system so this can be controlled at your fingertips. Vids are great. Love the ingenuity with each build. Whilst I am not a Patrol driver, it has made me find ways to modify and hide items foe my Ranger. Great content.
I run auto air bags on my 4wd I have a remote control clipped to the sun visor no wires gauges running to the front no switches nothing just a remote control to run the air bags that's it
Can you please add another 1 to the list? A step by step video of checking HBMC pressure and increasing pressure with the pump. Thanks for another informative session mate.

I fitted these airbags to my 62 to get it level when I towed my van. They worked great BUT they constantly lose pressure & need inflating sometimes every day but their biggest problem is that groan everywhere I drive - it's embarrassing to drive a new car through a caravan park & have people looking at you às the car rocks over the humps. The noise is so bad, I'm considering removing the bags.
This is what I love about my setup except I don't use the switches I use the wireless remote that Airbag man supply

Ps. Not to be a Karen, but I’d swap out the milk crates for safety steps, I’ll send you a photo of a sparkie with a flat blade 7” deep in his thigh as a result of the milk crate shattering if you need more convincing 🤣

Great video I see in the video you have a pressure gauge bracket with three buttons I presume their done is for a compressor on and off switch. Would like to know if that’s the case and if you do sell them yet

So if you have a Ti-L you can't hide the compressor behind the rear quarter panel?
Correct, for a TIL I would suggest putting a twin under a false floor, or maybe a single in the engine bay

"Without the car running" and probably melted all your connections David or got them very very hot to the point that the plastic will start to melt. When you run an ARB compressor (twin or single, onboard or protable) without the engine running, it will draw more amps as the voltage isn't optimum. The result being lower voltage from the battery, higher current draw. Really bad practise to run it with no engine running. Great video as always though :)
That would be true for a lead acid battery, but not for a lithium. Volts don’t drop below 13.0
Yeah nar thats a load of crap... pardon the pun 😅 the difference is of no consequence.
These things are also engine bay mounted and in there the motor and hoses and wiring run at massive temperatures and can pump up 4 x 35s with a hot engine bay and the engine off every day and can handle it! Sorry mate but you don't know what ya talking about 👍

Nice vid but pity Toyota and Nissan don't take the next tech step and fit adjustable and self levelling air suspension like.. dare I say it.. LR did years ago including on our 2014 D4SC (STD with supercharger too). Yeah i know..you're gonna tell me all LRs are crap!

Easy, there are many options, under the bonnet, under false floor
