    I love how this turned out! I didnt let my wax cool enough - next time ill let it get to your consistency. I also taped the bottom where the switch was as well as the bulb❤ thank you for this video!!

    SANDY...that grunge candle turned out amazing. I absolutely love it. You could always set a votive inside since that candle doesn't work. but cover a votive and set inside the taller candle it may work. Would rub and buff work on the wick of the candles to turn it from white to a rustic color?? What exactly do you use the stencil creme for? I never heard of that.
    Thank you so much for sharing and teaching us! How much more coffee grounds and cinnamon would or could you have added for more texture in the wax? I liked how the wax itself gave you texture! It makes sense that it would stay chunky looking, I just didnt think of it til I saw yours! You are such a blessing!

      I think rub and buff just might work. I will have to look for a color that is suitable. Thanks for the idea. Stencil creme is something I used years and years ago for stenciling. Not sure they even have it now.

    Way to go Sandy!! You did amazing job on those candles. They look so good. Thank you for experimenting to show us. Now I love this idea but where do I find stencil cream? I’ve never heard of it but by golly it sure did work well on the flame tips.

      Shelly, you might find it at Hobby Lobby in the stencil isle. Not for sure because I pretty sure I bought it in the 90's.

      I wanted to add that I have used a mini crock pot from the thrift store to melt my wax. That way I can just unplug it and let it cool them put away for next time.

    I wonder if working with the sides first then work with the inside last

    Maybe try to paint the wax on?

    Wonder how to do it to the candles that work so you don’t pull wick out. Maybe set it on-top of an old plastic tub upside down and coat-it?

      I did on another video to a candle that worked and didn't tape it up. Here is the link to the video. If this is not what you was talking about let me know.

    How do you know when to start dipping or adding wax, to what cool stage when its a bit harder?

    • @sandyscountrycrafts
      @sandyscountrycrafts  ปีที่แล้ว

      It depends on how you want it to look. Wax melted and still a little lumpy will give more texture.

    So what all were the ingredients you used

    • @sandyscountrycrafts
      @sandyscountrycrafts  ปีที่แล้ว

      Karen, I used cinnamon, some coffee grounds and some wax color in burgundy I use to make my candles. If I had found some burgundy candles at the thrift store before I made this one, it would have worked great. Since this video I have found plenty of the burgundy candles as well as other colors. I really don't think I needed the coffee grounds. The texture was from the wax cooling and clumping. And yes, I believe I should have done the sides and let it cool and then the inside.

      @@sandyscountrycrafts I’m going to have to try this with something small .I have a friend she’s going with rustic like I am so I’ll try like on wood shape just to try it before using something bigger

    • @karenburkhaulter3155

      In the pot before adding wax was that dark color the burgundy before adding coffee grounds

    • @sandyscountrycrafts
      @sandyscountrycrafts  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@karenburkhaulter3155 I did have a brown candle melted in it then put the ivory in it. Now that I have some burgundy candles all I would add is some cinnamon. Don’t think I would use the coffee grounds.
