SR3 Skid Steer implement vs. compacted gravel potholes. Is this thing for real?

  • WOW! TRIAL BY FIRE! NOT exactly how I wanted to start practicing with my new ABI attachments SR3 skid steer attachment! But sometimes you just have to roll your sleeves up and dive right in! Join me for a fun and educational episode today as I tackle a friends business parking lot that needs help ASAP! This is a commercial gravel parking lot that is very compacted and littered with gravel potholes and water erosion to boot. The business owner had a load of gravel delivered, as in the past I think they've often just added gravel to the existing potholes and water erosion cuts. HOWEVER, today is going to be very different! Join me in the Bobcat T650 as I test out the SR3 for the very first time. Trust me, I really wanted to test this thing out in some dirt first to get the hang of it! But she needed some help and I offered to come in and get it done, and so here we are. This thing is really nothing short of amazing. I have used a power grader, aka harley rake, aka power rake before on driveways with potholes and I have to tell you this SR3 is comfortably in command! Now for sure I have no regrets trading in my power rake for a new excavator upgrade!
Here is the link to check out ABI attachments, the SR3 (skid steer version) and TR3 (tractor version), and now they even have an ATV/UTV version! Check out some of their videos at this link, and if you enjoy them be sure to let them know you saw it here at Kapper Outdoors! This is going to be another fun journey!
    Here it is:

I’ve had mine for 2years and this attachment is truly amazing. It can do so much more than working with gravel. It can provide finishing grading quality on any surface and is also great for land clearing to remove overgrowth and small saplings up to 4” in diameter. I wouldn’t trade mine for anything.

Unreal. We have the SR MINI for the baby skid. Picking up our SR3 Friday and I can’t wait. We are pushing hard for our builders trying to get as many lots rough and final graded as we can before the bad weather sets in in Indiana and so far our newly purchased SR mini can out grade our 7’ paladin Harley rake which is saying a lot from a guy that absolutely swears by a Harley rake.
