I think that's only true for cars below 4mtrs in length. As this exceeds 4mtrs no extra impact from 1.6 ltr... Or just take Ford's/ Hyundai's 1.5 ltr

I saw this review last year October when i was looking to buy new car. I was having confusion with eco sport wrv and breeza and booked breeza. His one sentence changed it all "If you are looking for breeza and don't want to have since all is having it". I booked it next day got delivery in December. Now it almost 1 year and i can say this is my best decision. It is better than breeza in lot of aspects at same price.
Value for money car. Feels you comfortable. Looks wise ,,,, S Cross is very different has somewhat sporty in appearance. No issues of ground clearance. No body roll for rear seat passenger.....Nice music system. Hybrid tech and fuel saving car....excellent average. ….I love this car....
Hi sir. I'm planning to buy day after tomorrow I.e., 05.02.2019. I paid advance also. But now I'm confused whether to buy or step back. As I heard many are complaining about rattle issue.
Currently I'm a Ciaz user. I bought Ciaz in March 2017. Absolutely I have no complaint on Ciaz.
For the sake of SUV feel I want go for Scross. Can I stick on to Ciaz or buy S-cross. Will I be satisfied with Scross after buying like how happy I'm with Ciaz.

I dont know why u all guys are blaming 1.3 engine even though it is present in many marutis it is the best and proven diesel engines around the world, I too own an scross for the past 2 years this engine gives me gud drivability in city and also great driving manners and high speed stabilty in high ways this engine can chase any bigger engine cars too i done that in my drive i top speeded around 160 it can do more too..this is enough for our indian driving cycle and our indian roads...
The 1.6L is missing because it made the car costly since it was completely imported and secondly, it made for just 5% of the S-Cross sales in the older model.
Though I love the S-Cross, I wish they got the 1.4L turbo they use abroad..it would have been a blast but again it will cost much higher.

Yes 1.3 engine on paper seems to be slow. But believe me it can pull 5 adults uphill on 2nd gear. I did it on nandi hills. As for top speed I left a link below. Just have a look. This was made shortly after purchase. Due to high noise from engine I floored the paddle little on the lazy side.

the old scross 1.3 is much powerful than this new scross

This is a FIAT Multijet Engine and it is the most reliable diesel engine ever built . The torque and power is enough to support a speed Indian roads will permit . For a higher version of this engine ,buy a Jeep Compass for 20 Lakhs which also happens to be the cutest looking SUV India ever had .

Everything isnt about engine...its a 1.3L turbo SHVS engine which has excellent mileage like the Ciaz..
I know the cost is high...but that is due to the fact its in the Nexa brand and now has GST impact..
Utkarsh Sakhalkar actually its 1.25(1248 to b very precise) when you pay 13 lacs you aspect something more from your car, shvs doesn't enhance any performance figure, even cheaper cars like aspire etc would outperform such cars. S cross is a good cars but it simply can complete with its rivals., instead i would spend my money on ecosport or breeza

I m currently owning a scross previous model and trust me it's a great car for highway and though I won't recommend it for d cities where traffic is a issue because of power lag in lower gears....But on the highway and long roads this car is a champion..!!

Hello Autoportal. All your videos are very good. Kindly advice: New S Cross or Ford Ecosport with new 1.5 lit Dragon petrol engine to be launched, which shall be better if the daily running is about 55 km.

That steering wheel is like so old school, why can't Suzuki throw in the sporty one? Also no rear AC vents seems like just being cheap. And if I can generally nitpick, those rear parking sensors also look ugly, can't they put what they are doing to the new Swift?

Buy scross zeta granite grey on April 23,2018. It is excellent car full comfortable.... I have also Creta and Ecosport... but my favourite is scross. It’s has premium look feel extraordinarily.

Driver & Real seat more comfortable
Less price more feature then Creta

never go for brezza it has vibrations and the interior has no quality and the exterior too plus the impact protection for brezza is zero where scross is 5
Glad to see your response Royce, one more doubt. How about the seating height in scross compared to brezza, since my parents wont be able to step in and step out if seat and cabin height is low. And ride comfort differ in brezza or scross?
Godwin Jeyaroy stepping in and stepping out in the scross is easy plus the ride so smooth and the suspension is so soft plus there is a lot of torque in it 200nm same as brezza but they are different plus the back seat is much better in scross but in the brezza the back seat is so hard and upright you might feel uncomfortable

many people are buying brezza only for its resale value and looks but not for the saftey
honda wrv is also a good choice but their service is the worst
i was going for scross but the salesman told me that new scross will be launching after 2 months but we waited because only for the 1.4engine but now they release the same 1.3 with shvs so i had to go for wrv but it is better than scross only in the engine because it has 1.5 but the suspension is stiff and the service is the worst
Do a test drive for scross do both the new one and the old one and also do a test drive for wrv 1.5 diesel not 1.2

So you mean scross doesnt hold much resale value like brezza? is it better to consider ciaz sports edition? what do you say? does SHVS technology really help in improving fuel efficiency? Damn buying a new car is big blunder :-p Even Audi and BMW will fail before we come to an conclusion :)

ciaz sport edition is also a nice choice but i do recommend you to test drive the old scross and the new scross to know the difference
and also the cooled glove box is not good for a 1.3engine since 1.3 engine lacks in power only for brezza but the old scross didnt lacked any loss of power or refinement plus it was fiat made i think and the new scross does seems to have power lag due to shvs so i highly recommend you to test drive the old and the new scross and also by chance do a test drive for wrv 1.5 diesel

why everyone is talking about S cross which comes with 1.3 Diesel engine which is very old in the market.. Capture Renault from which angle it looks premium... BC Tata has done great job with Nexon very upmarket Interiors, new engines that to petro and diesel with modes. Diesel is awesome 110 HP and 260 NM of torque..why what's wrong here why people are forgetting here good products from Tata.. come-on Suzuki is only changing hoods and covers no new engines from last 10 years Wahi purane fiat sourced diesel engine.. fuck man Suzuki is just planning and fooling our Indian people.. no more words to express my frustration.. wakeup people.
when is brezza's facelift launching
Maruti had a chance to make S-Cross a success by adding few features to it - ventilated seats, rear ac vents, sunroof. However, they missed it. Also again no petrol version😔 was expecting either a 1.5l petrol engine or 1.4l turbo charged petrol engine - with auto gear option. Also, I hope the top variant gets atleast 6 airbags.
Really nice. It's not a kind of car you want to buy just for show off purpose but it's a car you take home for practicality and peace of mind. Only issue I see is an underpowered engine

Both are bad.. sharing the same 1.3L, if u buy the new dzire u get the same engine at half of the price.. rear ac( missing in both brezza and s cross)... Almost the same features except the plastic quality... So u want good plasic quality go for S cross or Brezza.
If u want a good car leave Suzuki and extend ur search to some other brands...

Maruthi misunderstood the weak sales of 1.6 earlier , it's because people don't want to spend that much for a ugly looking car, now it looks good but you again messed with the engine now. At least you should have given an opportunity for people like me.
