Step by step process. Master each concept Do topical questions before doing the full question paper. Practice the popular questions. Make mistakes and strength basics. Key concepts and builing upon that. Start of with easier questions from earlier yrs. Do a topic, move on to the next and again go to the first topic (Active Recall) Make this a part of ur daily routine. When u get questions wrong: Write down the entire thought process, logic behind why u did that in that particular way. And if u dont understand the question then Write down key things. Write down formulas + imp notes in a small notebook & Write down common+imp questions. Redo the entire paper (if exm paper is 2H longs then leave out 45 mins to redo the paper) Be patient w yourself.
What do I do if I only have 40 mins for my math exam with around 8 questions and the fact that I take longer than everyone else to do even the simple questions
@@aayushigupta_ sameeeeee but i think practice is the key, the more u practice the more familiar u would become with approaching questions and the faster u will be

Thank you for this video! I remember when I was in grade 11 I got 41 percent on my trigonometry test because I was too shy to ask for help and kept on telling myself that I wasn't smart enough. However, the moment I told myself that I am capable of being good at math, I found myself staying alert in class and taking detailed notes. Later I would come home and do my homework right away and watch videos/ ask for help if I was confused. Therefore, my mark gradually improved and I got 86 percent in my math final exam. However, I am hoping to get 90's this year. I will definitely use your tips.
Can you tell me what did you get ?I am 11th grade too I am a little scared exams are coming soon,I like trigonometry but I feel like lost sometimes but I am keeping my spirit ❤🎉(I know you are not 11th grade but lol if you can answer it will be awesome for me)
Bestie you help me a lot. 4 days before I lost my hope. I failed in all my subjects 😢 and I was very depressed. I've 13 subjects and my final exam is near my window. I don't even know any chapter name of my books. Then I try to find out why I'm studying and then I researching how to study productively. Then your videos pop up and I watch it, omg I feel like I just got what I want. Now when i feel difficulty with study or discipline I write down my problems and search for your solution . And it's help me a lot. Now again I'm fully motivate and set my to do list in my brain ( I'm gonna write it down on paper). Before I watched your videos I thought maybe I need cute fancy stationary and I also blaming others for my failure. Thanks a lot . May god bless you. ✏️ 📝
When you said you study math every day for 2 hours, I finished watching the video but afterwards I grabbed my textbook and I started making exercises. Thank you so much for motivating me!!
Yesterday i cried trying to solve 3 questions of add maths. I couldnt find any similiar questions to refer and an hour of researching went to waste . 8:43 , everytime i feel lost imma come back. Thank you
The advice, in the end, was something I didn't know I needed. I was so fed up with myself for not getting the concept while my friend was doing it like a calculator. Above all, my teacher is under the impression that I'm dumb. I am the topper in all the subjects except math. So, I thought math is not my thing. After hearing the advice, I realized it is not a problem simply with my subject but my life as well. I am a really insecure person. Being bad at math added weight to my insecurity list. In the end, I understood that patience is all I needed. Learning is like a process like cooking and requires patience, it is not like ordering a pizza. I needed to be patient with myself and not expect things that other do from me.
you grew so much in 2 years. From 300 to 500k subscribers, you've come a long way. Thankyou for this. I'm struggling with maths but I know I will be alright with enough motivation and practice.
watching an old video and seeing you so grateful about 300subscribers and now oure at moree than 800 000 makes me feel so happy and proud of you. proves that patience and consistency is really just the key to everything. love you faye
I swear Faye I am so thankful that I found you. Every video of urs are just so useful to me and helped me a lot. You know I'm never a person who will cry after maths. But ever since I entered high school every time I cried the reason was math and math.
Hello. I'm part of the 03' batch that would have to sit for my SPM next year rather than this year and I definitely needed to hear this. I love how you're so honest and true when you open up about your hard time with maths, it makes it seem like it isn't completely impossible to get a good mark. It's so easy to lose hope in yourself but I agree that everyone learns at their own pace and like you said, patience is definitely key and I will hold that sentence with me. I hope everyone here who's having a hard time find strength again. You are capable of so much, just breathe and carry on
Batch 03 here. Thank you for that. I literally just gave up doing chemistry paper A part of me convinced myself that I’ll be fine looking at the answer sheet while answering the questions, as long as I keep doing the same questions repeatedly. While another part of me said things like I won’t be able to memorise the answer, why would I bother to memorise when not exactly this question will come out, what if it’s from the same topic but different sub topic? useless method, only work for spm but how about in university later? I won’t be able to understand even the simplest lesson Now here I am lying on the sofa feeling stressed but managed to watch educational video just so I won’t feel guilty abandoning my work lol
@@urjineus7134 hello 👋🏼 It's so easy to doubt your own methods of learning sometimes. I'm currently experiencing the same for Sejarah where I doubt my way of studying and find myself neglecting said subject 😔 but I think we all know that eventually we're going to have to suck up to it and keep working. I think it's important to take some time off to reassess your situation, where you are and how you're going to move forward. That way, you waste less time doing something that wouldn't benefit you in the long run. Happy to see a fellow 03 here haha and I'm wishing you all the strength and luck in everything that's to come. I'll be rooting for you

I've been feeling so down with myself because I keep getting either 1 or 0 score in our past performance tasks in math. Watching your video made me think. You're right, I was not giving myself enough time and constantly choosing to give up on this subject because I find it really difficult and I would always ask my friends for help when doing assignments. Thank you for making this video to share your experience and to share your way to go through math. I hope you can help other people as much as you helped me. :)
faye ilysm you literally are the best this video saved my math grades i am much better at math now than in 8th grade and because of your tips i have become one of the best students in math in my class i seriously thank you 💗
when i was in my last year of primary school my teacher told me that i will get no where in life if i cant understand the easy math that she gave me but 2 years later here i am in one of the top 4 boarding schools in my country and i also got higher than 80% of the kids in my country who took the exam so this is a reminder people dont let anyone bring down ur spirit
Ive been watching your videos recently and ive learnt so much more about studying. Turns out ive been doing tonss of things wrong and thats why i was always stressed. Thank you so much for your help ♥ i dont know what id do without your channel
The worst is when I was a kid, I'd understand all concepts of every subjects easily and this went on until Year 8. And then everything finally came tumbling down so now, I'm basically struggling to get back up. In Year 9, my Chinese maths teacher went, "You're Chinese, aren't you? So why aren't you good at maths?" That broke my confidence until today. It's also why it's difficult for me to admit my mistakes because I don't want to be a disappointment to any of my teachers but after watching this video, I truly realized that not everyone's the same. That some of us do need more time and practice just like how some don't. That comparing ourselves to others does nothing but deteriorates our mental health. I appreciate TH-cam recommending this video nonstop until I watched it today cause I never knew I needed this ❤❤❤
The last part brought me to tears because the comparing bit hit me home and right in the personal feels.. this video is three years old but I just wanted to thank Faye, this was really helpful and motivating ♥️

8:28 I also agree with your thinking, when I was in elementary school, in short, before the covid pandemic hit my country. I was one of the exemplary students who always became the permanent champion in my class, namely 3rd place. In the past, when I was in 4th grade, I was always the fastest in answering math questions in every lesson, and my teacher didn't hesitate to praise me as an intelligent child. But I realized that the math material my teacher gave me would be different every day.. and that's when I answered a question about the same thing, I turned the previous sheet again to cheat on the calculation method I used to solve the problem. That's why I know that everything I learn is more about memorizing than understanding. Nevertheless, I feel lucky to have found this video, how much motivation you give every word. Hopefully in the future I can become a better person.
I love you bestie, this video makes me feel like how I am and how I can improve because I legit hated maths and i love biology so I took it as a fact that biology lovers can't do maths but no, its just me becoming impatient and comparing myself to others.
4:22 I ask my math teacher to help me but he didn't even replay my frickin gamil for 2 weeks now! He is a new teacher btw, but neither the students and teachers like him. He also teach so slow and keep talking random things that is not relate to math in lessons😭
mine too but he always asks us when he don't know hot to answer some questions. Everytime in his class, he prefers to call all of us out to do one question in the front. The thing is, we just learn the subject and he already question ask and also he always throwing a tantrum if he thinks we being rude :-:
Faye, I really like the first tip but most people don't have the mental strength to just study math suddenly. I only came here to try to do better on the second-year subjects I was pretty lazy to look at the teacher so next time am doing that. just trying to find tips and the first 1 is good but not many people do it. pretty common not many people like math but keep up the great work!😉
ah this was so good! i’ll come back to this when i’m studying for my maths modules this year, thanks for the tips :) can’t wait for more of your videos! (ps i came from fb haha)

Thanks to you fayefilms, I literally got A solid twice for my addmath subject this year, it's a really good things to start upper form year, hopefully I can get A+ for Addmath this semester 🤲
The thing is even if you have talent in Math you can still be bad at it. I was really good at math like really good . My mother had studied Physics and Math like professionally so I guess that is why I am good at it too. So everything was going great until I transferred to another school. Before that I even attended math competition but because I was used to understanding everything from class and not doing extra work I didn't have the habit of writing math homework or opening the textbook to learn the material. I just learned everything from the teacher' s explanation during class. When I transferred to the new school the teacher relied on that we would study the material at home and only briefly explained it. That led to me becoming from a straight A student in Math to an average and unlike as before when I enjoyed studying Math and some days I even solved tasks only for fun now I feel super anxious even when sb just mentions math. So I think being good at Math depends a lot on your teacher and study method as well.

"you need to hear this" almost made me cry. I switched from the national malaysian syllabus to igcses, and now alevels, when I was 15(technically, 14) and even skipped a year- so I always had some catching up to do. But now, even if i had studied so much and so long, I always get so upset when I see my friends getting things at the snap of a finger or sumn. the voice is always at the back of my head, telling me to take it slow and have patience with myself, and I guess what you said really shoved it to me that I SHOULD be more patient with myself. Thank you faye :D

it's kind of difficult for me when we go to a new page everyday we have math. somehow we get 10-15 questions but they're really hard. you have to finish the questions and undertsand at the same time. i used to be so good at math and nowadays i've just given up on math and this video came up. motivated me to work with some math questions and i understand so much better! thank you Faye! :)
One thing I learned is I should've sharpen my skill in high school math (algebra and trigo stuffs) because these are among the fundamental cores of math, especially if you're going in Engineering. update: okay so I had my math exam yesterday and fr I studied so hard I didnt even sleep for three days. and the exam went okay, not good and not bad, but I wished for it to be really good as I studied really hard but the self doubt always kept kicking back in and I messed up everything, math is actually a nightmare no matter how good I study for it, it will eventually go wrong as it is u cant be positive w ur nightmares and I have no idea why im blabbering sm so yeah nvm. and pls do pray for my good result I freaking worked so hard trust me and im already proud of myself I dont even care ab the results BUT I STILL DO CARE SO PLS PRAY FOR ME
you can do it.. I believe in you! Just give yourself time and if you run from math, math is going to attack you but if you sit with and start a convo it gets easy! lol i know I am weird but I hope you know what I am trying to say.. Good luck :>
@@khansaboo2030 omg yes I completely get it, and I have been trying not to freak out and just focus on math more and I think its getting better but like it gets really stressing its just in my head ig lol but thanks and its okay im weird too haha
I have never passed maths in my entire life 😭😭😭⚰️ this is so sad
@@randomdudejusthere8690 ah I can relate but its okay and remember not to give up theres a saying "do math until your fingers give up" haha but dont be too hard on yourself, im sure you can do it, lots of love xx
Ikr.my heart starts beating like a maniac when I show my work.
Step by step process.
Master each concept
Do topical questions before doing the full question paper.
Practice the popular questions.
Make mistakes and strength basics.
Key concepts and builing upon that.
Start of with easier questions from earlier yrs.
Do a topic, move on to the next and again go to the first topic (Active Recall)
Make this a part of ur daily routine.
When u get questions wrong: Write down the entire thought process, logic behind why u did that in that particular way. And if u dont understand the question then
Write down key things.
Write down formulas + imp notes in a small notebook & Write down common+imp questions.
Redo the entire paper (if exm paper is 2H longs then leave out 45 mins to redo the paper)
Be patient w yourself.
What do I do if I only have 40 mins for my math exam with around 8 questions and the fact that I take longer than everyone else to do even the simple questions
@@aayushigupta_ sameeeeee but i think practice is the key, the more u practice the more familiar u would become with approaching questions and the faster u will be

“How to score A+ for Maths (even with no talent)”
YESSS! This video is for me. I have no talents
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA same
HAHAHAHAHA SAME
Thank you for this video!
All the best bro
Best wishes Saloni
Thank you so much for motivating me!!
let's go
Yesterday i cried trying to solve 3 questions of add maths. I couldnt find any similiar questions to refer and an hour of researching went to waste . 8:43 , everytime i feel lost imma come back. Thank you
hi, i would like to know the 3
questions
I will study hard for SPM and even if i failed i still will work hard to help my family and make them proud
Everytime I get demotivated to study, I always tune in to your videos and it just works. Thank you Faye, I always get motivated watching your videos.
I literally just gave up doing chemistry paper
A part of me convinced myself that I’ll be fine looking at the answer sheet while answering the questions, as long as I keep doing the same questions repeatedly. While another part of me said things like I won’t be able to memorise the answer, why would I bother to memorise when not exactly this question will come out, what if it’s from the same topic but different sub topic? useless method, only work for spm but how about in university later? I won’t be able to understand even the simplest lesson
Now here I am lying on the sofa feeling stressed but managed to watch educational video just so I won’t feel guilty abandoning my work lol
@@urjineus7134 hello 👋🏼
It's so easy to doubt your own methods of learning sometimes.
I'll be rooting for you
Thank you Faye for helping me out with studies especially mathss. This video filled me with enough confidence to strt doin maths instead of giving up already.Till this day I was sure that i have dyscalculia but now i know to overcome that fear of not being good with number's, you're a great inspiration for me.Wish you luck and happiness
I am lost with every subject ever since the pandemic started so here I am.
Everytime i look at math problems my brain just gets confused and i give up 😍

I've been feeling so down with myself because I keep getting either 1 or 0 score in our past performance tasks in math. Watching your video made me think. You're right, I was not giving myself enough time and constantly choosing to give up on this subject because I find it really difficult and I would always ask my friends for help when doing assignments. Thank you for making this video to share your experience and to share your way to go through math. I hope you can help other people as much as you helped me. :)
I swear this gotta be so helpful since maths is the weakest subject of mine ! This is gonna be so helpful , thank you !! 😭❤️
You really motivated me. I will try to be patience:-)
faye ilysm you literally are the best this video saved my math grades i am much better at math now than in 8th grade and because of your tips i have become one of the best students in math in my class i seriously thank you 💗
340 subs to 1.01 million subs within 2 years. You are really an exemplary character for all of us Faye. Thanks a lot.
when i was in my last year of primary school my teacher told me that i will get no where in life if i cant understand the easy math that she gave me but 2 years later here i am in one of the top 4 boarding schools in my country and i also got higher than 80% of the kids in my country who took the exam so this is a reminder people dont let anyone bring down ur spirit
Ive been watching your videos recently and ive learnt so much more about studying. Turns out ive been doing tonss of things wrong and thats why i was always stressed. Thank you so much for your help ♥ i dont know what id do without your channel
I really want to ask you one question how can you be so optimistic in life you are so cheerful.I am just 17 but still can't cooperate with my studies
This is just her personality in the video, her personal life might be different.
I love how she smiles every time when she is talking, it brings me such joy😊
Your tips still helped me even after few years since pt3!❤️ support support this girl!!!
Awww studying together was so fun! I didn’t expect that I would be able to help you 🥺 Im so touched 💕

8:35 how to approach maths: be patient w urself! skills take time to develop
I watched this video yesterday night before my maths exam, TRUST ME THIS GAVE ME SUCH A HUGE CONFIDENCE BOOST. I HAD AN AMAZING EXAM TODAY
This helped a lot thank you very much, this just builds up my confidence to ask a teacher and believe in my mistakes so once again thank you. 😊
I'm assuming you have a whole staffroom for maths teachers in your school, so go ask another maths teacher for help.

Someone like my comment so that I will remember to do my homework 😭😭😭😭
Real 😅
ABSOLUTELY CORRECT, SAME HAPPENED WITH ME
Really needed this today 🤧 because I am preparing for a competitive exam anddd it consists of mathsss!
I want to score good marks in my maths exam. Wish me luck!!! Thank you Faye for always motivating us .

LUV UR TIPS IT MAKE ME GETTING BETTER AT STUDY LUV IT (SO MUCH)
"you need to hear this" almost made me cry.

thank you so much for the little motivation talk at the end, i needed it ❤️❤️
One thing I learned is I should've sharpen my skill in high school math (algebra and trigo stuffs) because these are among the fundamental cores of math, especially if you're going in Engineering. I'm currently third year at ChemE and I realy struggled during my Differential Equation subject haha. Now I'm still reviewing the foundation math since it's like the missing puzzle. Hope I can still catch up
