We had 6 that rooted, 1 died later when we transplanted them. I gave one to my friend and i had a couple of them that reached maturity and survived their first winter in zone 6. I was amazed. Florist roses tend to grow tall and not really great garden roses, but they are beautiful. They have had only one flush of blooms this year. Hopefully more. The trick i think is to prune them to get them to bush more, but remember these are genetically grown to make long stem roses, not bushes. Hope this helps! Good luck!

honey and cinnamon, crushed aspirin in water, weeping willow branches bunched up with a rubber band with your cuttings placed inside the bunch.

perlite adds in drainage . it is used because it is a sterile product used for germination, and mixed with potting mix for added drainage. One of the worst diseases for plants roots is root rot caused by poor drainage or standing water. The difference between perlite and vermiculite is the latter helps absorb water.
