Those organ pipes are absolutely awesome! Having spent my life in the eastern portion of the country I've never been up close to anything like these natural beauties. Thanks for this opportunity!
Oh, my goodness, Springtime in the Desert! That's just the BEST! What a stunning campground!!! It looks so lush and beautiful there, Glenn! It's been a long time since I got to be in a place like that and got to SMELL the Creosote!!! There is just no better natural scent for me, than that beautiful clean scent after a rain!! I'm in the Permian Basin, and creosote is everywhere here, outside of town. So, if conditions are JUST RIGHT after a rain, we can end up with the beautiful smell in the air for a while! Intoxicating!!! Thank you, Glenn and Amy!
I’ve been catching up on your videos this morning, and WOW, this campground does not disappoint. All of Glen’s shots of the organ pipe and saguaros are stunning against the red rock of the mountains, but those in silhouette in the sunset are just so beautiful! Thanks for showing this gorgeous place! I want to go now!
Awesome videos thank you for creating and sharing. You should do an entire season on oak flats in the superstition mountains. Because when the mine wins it will be closed and destroyed. It will be an open pit mine over 2 miles wide and over a mile deep. It's better to visit while you can and see the beautiful place before its destroyed. It has a strong history with the apache. The apache are currently camped out at the camp grounds fighting to protect traditional lands.
my wife and i stayed at alamo for several days many years ago when i was on a photo journey to organ pipe. fabulous! it was probaly march because the hedghogs. prickly pear were blossoming abumdantly, brittle bush was eveywhere. the small rocky stream up in the canyon had a decent bit of flow going on. i still have as phto in our dining room i took one evening near sunset and the whole sky was an incredible lemon like color- i've never seen that before or since. we had put some ribs on the grill and then the rains came, and we retreated to the back of our suburban and enjoyed the comforts of vodka/tonic for some 2+ hours while the fire still smoldered along; besy ribs we've ever had! i have lived in phoenix for all of my 91 years and that trip still brfings back memories for both of us. norm brown looove seeing your trips , especially through our incredible sonoran desert.
Oh, lovely! We LOVE when people have had their own experiences to share with us. Sounds like a memorable trip... and a lemon yellow sky!! I can't even imagine. 😊 Thank for sharing with us!
Thanks Cactus Atlas for the beautiful Sonoran Desert. I noticed the stars too. Great place to camp. I have a book about the desert plants and the creosote could be as much as 12,000 years old. They are called clones because they continue with the same genetic make up as the original plant. There is a creosote in in the Mohave Desert that's called King Clone sometimes called the world's oldest plant. I first heard about this plant at San Tan Mountain Park and a ranger talked about it. Very interesting plant, I'd say.
Thanks for another great video! The sunset behind the cactus was so beautiful and it just gets me even more determined to get road tripping this fall/winter. Since the title was “Exploring Serenity” I was waiting for a clip of “SERENITY NOW” or at least Glen’s version 🤣 Perhaps not a Seinfeld fan? 🤷♂️ That’s okay!
Pretty area. I noticed peoples vehicle hoods up. Some desert dwellers do this to keep out the wire chewing vermin by letting in daylight. I spent a few weeks out in the wilderness and a pack rat would meticulously build a nest with sticks perfectly cut to match my intake manifold. It was eerie the craftsmanship of the structure and the engineering cunning of fabrication. Thought I had magical elves doing late night mischief as my firewall insulation was part of the project also.
Oh, yeah. All too familiar with those pack rats sadly. Went out to run errands once and got as far as our cluster box to pick up mail and discovered my power steering was out. Darn things chewed through some wires. 😅
E aqui estamos novamente com o nosso solitário arqueólogo- paleontólogo kkkkk nas inóspitas terras do velho oeste boa sorte amigo.......ei cara bonita barraca....( cuidado com as cobras😅) 👍
It's a beautiful place, for sure! The trees may not be redwoods, pines, or any other "majestic" tree, but between the organ pipes and saguaros, they are majestic in their own right. Thanks for the trip!
Thank you Cactus Atlas. A couple of Floridians here that spent 10 days running around Arizona and Utah utilizing all your videos. Keep up the good work! Arizona is gorgeous!
We've wondered if one would grow up here. I THINK there might be one in a yard in our area but we'd have to look into it. It would be so awesome to have one. 😊
Oh, goodness. I can't really remember. 🙁 Our camping gear has changed and evolved over time based on need and upgrading so what we've shown in the past might not be up to date. We've got another camping trip coming up, so perhaps we'll go through some of it while out. 😉👍
I know it was covered a bit ago but now I can’t remember! I’m mostly interested in the tent and the cot. Isn’t the tent the kind with the poles that are attached?
Now, Slim, if you were as old as My master and this old goat, you could camp there for half price. I can save money. Have more to put in my super large gas tank. Course we only get 23 miles per gallon. I suppose with all that fancy stuff y'all got, you can out do me there. If you ever get down that way on a windy day, listen. You can here the wind play the organ. Softly it beckons. 😊
Hi! Loved the video❤ Beautiful scenery! I Loved the music too. Thanks for sharing the video. Looking forward to more videos!
Thanks so much! 😊

Anytime! Glad to bring them to you. 😊

I can't imagine a rain and NOT smelling creosote now. It just wouldn't be the same. 😄
I think this is my favourite campground you've shown so far! Pure Sonoran Desert! 🌵
Agree! It doesn't get more Sonoran that the views there. 👍

Glad you enjoyed it! It's certainly a little slice of the ultimate Sonoran experience. 😄
Fantastic footage! Seriously professional level work. You have a great eye for a shot. The sunset was brilliant.
Wow, thank you so very much! 😊🙏
What s beautiful landscape at that park!! Gorgeous! It looks like you had fantastic weather as well! This makes me want to go camping soon!!
Thankful for the weather then. We've already been hitting 100s in Phoenix! 😂🥵
What a beautiful place. I'd never get tired of seeing that scenery.
Couldn't agree more! It's hard to get tired of views like these. 😊
I Love Glen!!! Reminds me of Nick Swardson
😂 He gets that all the time. I just don't see it. 😅
That was nice seeing there are places for tent campers. Cool. 😎
Indeed! Sites seem to cater for RVers, which is great, but plenty still camp in tents. 🙂
Love Organ Pipe, although we’ve only camped in Twin Peaks. You do it justice.
Twin Peaks isn't bad either. Just a little more busy. 😅
This park may actually be more beutiful than Seguaro National Park.. Talk about an awsome campsite too!!
Agree! Great views and fairly quiet with such a small amount of sites. 😄

Oh goodness. Why with the pit mines? 😔 😢 Thanks for the heads up.

Okay, now that's old. 😅 Have heard several stories about old clonal colonies of trees. Kinda fascinating to think about. 👍

I think Glenn is more familiar with Seinfeld than I am. 😅 Crossing my fingers that you get that road tripping adventure! 🤞

Amazing views out there!
It's stunning. 🤩

Well said! It's really cool to have the combo of them around as well. 👍

Awesome! That's great to hear! We'd love to hear all about your trip - where did you visit?
Beautiful park. Please don't bother the wildlife. Subbed 😊
Love your site. Ever think of putting a Organ Pipe Cactus in your yard,so pretty!
We've wondered if one would grow up here. I THINK there might be one in a yard in our area but we'd have to look into it. It would be so awesome to have one. 😊
Thanks!
Oh, my goodness! Thank you so very much! You're too kind! 😊🙏
Vi em um filme que alguns desses cactus podem conter água potável boa para beber 👀
I live the camping videos. Which video was it when you went through all your camping gear??
Oh, goodness. I can't really remember. 🙁 Our camping gear has changed and evolved over time based on need and upgrading so what we've shown in the past might not be up to date. We've got another camping trip coming up, so perhaps we'll go through some of it while out. 😉👍

The cot is the Kingdom Cot 3 from REI and the tent is a Coleman Skydome Darkroom tent from Dick's. Hopefully that helps. 😄
@@CactusAtlas thank you much!

Oh, I imagine we'll be back in that area again fairly soon. 😅
Que lugar deserto os milhares de cactus parecem vultos de pessoas lkkkkkkkkkkk
🤣🤣 I always envision cacti as figures.
Watch out for drug mules. I stumbled into a drug deal in that area years ago.
1930's I don't think that couple had to worry about what went on back then, but it is sure happening today's generation just horrible
