So glad for Anders work in this subject. Thanks for this podcast. I’m down to 0.15mg of Valium by way of micro tapering. It’s absolutely horrible. I have been tapering for 3 years now this month. I am holding sertraline at 5mg for a year now as I went to zero and could not bear it. I’m a pharmacist in the US and this has been incredibly eye opening for me. I wonder if there is any sort of genetic predisposition for harder tapers? I have a family member (an in law) that goes on and off sertraline 200mg with no problems. On a few months, off a few. I think I would die. 😂
Thank you for this podcast. I am nearing the end of a long hyperbolic taper from Mirtazapine. It hasn’t been easy but I hope by tapering so slowly, when I step off the WD won’t be too horrible. Working on radical acceptance.
I came off effexor with a "Prozac bridge" 4 months ago. Prozac made me a zombie (which could have been effexor withdrawal) so my psych doc switched me to trintellix... NOTHING touched the effexor withdrawal. Has this happened to anyone before ever?
yes -found Effexor and Paxil very tricky while "on" and when stopping .Funnily enough though can report good experience on Lexapro and not to bad withdrawals . God Bless-from Ireland 🙂
This has explain what has happening to me the last 2 years. Thanks so much for your information.
