What kind of olive oil did you use? I tried a recipe, added olive oil, but while the ingredients came out nice, olive oil took over the whole taste. I figured maybe use regular butter instead.
@@DMCarReviews Hey, To me personally it sounds like you're using fairly high quality Extra Virgin Olive Oil, which has it's unique (but fairly strong) taste. If you don't like the taste of it, or rather find it too overpowering, try going for a cheaper common virgin olive oil. If that still is too much, go for light olive oil. Light olive oil is very neutral in flavour. Edit: Just using butter (or olive oil) is completely fine btw. Just make sure you adjust your heat properly so the butter doesn't burn (since olive oil has a higher smokepoint, it helps the butter not burn.)
I teach English as a foreign language in a high school in Beijing. I recently found out that one of my classes loves recipes, and learning how to cook. So, I showed them a few of your videos, and the kids LOVE them! They like to hear English spoken by other people who had to learn it as a second language like they do, and they love the recipes. I often have to explain some of the ingredients, but the kids don't mind at all. In fact, one week, one of them actually made the eggplant parmigiana recipe! I followed the recipe to a T and my wife and I agreed it was outstanding, and the best we ever had! Any other recipes that I have for Chicken Marsala will be thrown away after making this one. I have a friend who moved to the US from Italy and she is the most immaculate human being, in every way, I have ever known. She keeps her home like someone with immense pride. She is ALWAYS dressed as if she is going to meet someone important. And no matter who she meets she treats them as if she is thrilled to be in their company. I cooked this today and it was amazing! I cooked a double batch so I would have leftovers for work. It took so much self control to not eat all of it! I fed 2 other people who loved it! I cooked this dish for the family over the long weekend in Australia. It was a hit. Everyone loved it - the very moist and tender chicken, mushrooms, etc.. Never knew what Marsala was and I just love, love, love, coming with it now. Thank you for the recipe.

I made this dish exactly like he said but added my tlc in terms of quantity of butter, salt and other delicious ingredients. This recipe he shows us is a fool proof way to make incredible Chicken Marcela. Just remember the cooking wine is on a different isle than the drinking wine. Don't waste 30 minutes like I did looking for it lol. Be prepared for your friends to call you a master chef, and recommend culinary school and a career in cooking if you absolutely nail it like he does in this video. Just put love and patience into it, do not rush it to impress someone. Impress yourself by the reactions you see and hear from your friends and family. As a tip, if your chicken is particularly thin cut, don't be afraid to take it out and add it back in the last few minutes to avoid overcooking.

Made the recipe last night and it was GOOOOOOOD. I made it with boneless skinless thighs. Slow simmering of the chicken resulted in a tender and juicy thigh meat. I used button mushrooms and it worked fine. Thanks for the great recipe and cooking tips.

Chicken Marsala is one of my long-standing favorites. The only steps different from my recipe to yours is that I add a little red pepper flake to spice it up a little and I also add prosciutto. I also serve a small bed of linguini as well. Chicken and bacon (or its Italian cousin prosciutto) are always a great flavor combination in my opinion. I also like a little heat in my dishes - hence a little red pepper flake to spice it up a bit.
How do you dress the linguine? Do you just toss it with some butter, or oil? I'm not used to making pasta as a side, only when it's incorporated into my main dish

Cheesy McCool.... Marsala is a WINE. it's not expensive. Wonderful for chicken and other proteins too. Not strong but has a distinctive aroma and taste. The marsala chicken is fantastic.

the best way to do it is by making a roux first - the flour in the roux doesnt clump when u add liquid

Chicken Marsala is one of my long-standing favorites. The only steps different from my recipe to yours is that I add a little red pepper flake to spice it up a little and I also add prosciutto. I also serve a small bed of linguini as well. Chicken and bacon (or its Italian cousin prosciutto) are always a great flavor combination in my opinion. I also like a little heat in my dishes - hence a little red pepper flake to spice it up a bit.
How do you dress the linguine? Do you just toss it with some butter, or oil? I'm not used to making pasta as a side, only when it's incorporated into my main dish
@@Haroldm814 Butter, oil, sautéed sliced garlic and a pinch of chili flakes. Goes well with fish and chicken for sure.

Cheesy McCool.... Marsala is a WINE. it's not expensive. Wonderful for chicken and other proteins too. Not strong but has a distinctive aroma and taste. The marsala chicken is fantastic.
