    For Rousseau's "The Social Contract", around 3:30, I think Rousseau takes a more positive perspective on the government than "a necessary problem", while Hobbes and Locke regard the government as a necessary evil?
    Could you explain that a bit?

    Claiming property is resource efficient, you don't have to keep searching for the same basic resources every time you need it. Familiarity of surroundings also brings a sense of peace, unlike fear of the unknown. Other animals claim territory, not just man. I think Rousseau's view about the first man claiming land is too romantic.
