Purple's a perennial favorite color of mine as well and having it in aluminum is a nice budget compromise from Ti. Full size Sheepdog may be a bit bigger than I'd typically have for EDC but if I'm heading somewhere I know I want something heavier, having it in the clutch lock would be siiiick.
The powder-coated aluminum texture feels so dang nice on this one. It looks amazing in this purple as well. It's definitely a chunky knife haha and the clutch lock with multiple deployment options is huge 💜😈💜
In general or for the sheepdog? In general - it really depends on the knife. If the aluminum is powder-coated like this sheepdog then I love it. I don't like slick aluminum at all. Carbon fiber is fantastic too, with so many varieties. I haven't tried the CF sheepdog so I can't speak on that. But I love this sheepdog in aluminum and the clutch lock is amazing.
