What a Nice boat!! These smaller boats really touch me more than super yachts in many ways, just perfect for cozy summer days at sea with family and friends
Smaller boats feel "boatier". Massive super yachts just feel like you're in a fancy apartment or upmarket ferry. Smaller boats feel like they're more fun.
Thank you Jack for such a great review. I was especialy touched by the way you described the way she handles, because i took special care of the design of the hull underwater shape and am very happy that you are able to recognise it.
@@alias19 Hi. Distribution is not my field, but i will forward your request to the Marex executives and maybe they will expand their dealer network to America and Canada. Have a good day.
@@E39520IA I have few questions about the boat. Does the shaft drive version have a propeller tunnel/pocket? And is the prop protected? How steep is the shaft angle?
I love this yacht! This will be my mine! I have only one mod that would be to the helm seat, I love my wife and would love to have a spot right next too me while we motor along. That is a must along with the addition of a grill aft. Wow I really cant stop watching this video. Thank you for the ride along great work.
17:13 Toddlers will love that second cabin. I actually remember being around that age, and loving to crawl into small spaces like under tables, into boxes and stuff. I presume it's because when you are that size, everything is giant, because it's built for adults. So it's a welcome variety from the vast openness that a small family kitchen looks like, if you're literally three foot tall or shorter. Which means that if you're a young couple with a toddler, and the baby is at nana and granda's house, it's perfect.
If you've had a chance to cruise Scandinavia a bit, summer or shoulder season, this design will especially appeal. We grew to appreciate how cruising there can be fun and fulfilling with 'just enough boat' while others - like us in our 42' ketch - aren't finding things nearly so 'easy'. What a treat to be aboard. Thanks, Jack.
Gorgeous craft. Seconding these being made available in North America. Their clever design and engineering makes me believe they would make a wonderful
Really well presented, as usual. That's an amazing boat. Perfect indoor/outdoor blend and extremely adaptable. The reliable (manual) roof is a nice touch
Actually, the way they designed the living quarters would be a selling point for me. The use of space and the open atmosphere are amazing given the size of the boat. I've seen so many much larger vessels that will make you feel like you are sitting in a barrel when you go down below. This one is beautifully thought out and executed!
Would love to see these made available in North America. Seems like an ideal cruiser for the Great Lakes (and more). Enjoyed the video but wondering about the head, i.e. wet head or separate stall? Also, did I see correctly that the air horn is angled down off the mast at about 45 degrees? I guess you'll know when it sounds!
It's really telling to see some of the same materials, features and approach to design etc as the Sardo and other Scandinavian Fjord hoppers. Nice boat!
This boat is one of my favorites. It’s beautifully thought out and beautiful to look at. The finish work looks great, too. I would appreciate dimensions of the berths and headroom in the different spaces. Finally, spec’s and useful pricing in a graphic should be a minimum.
Very nice boat and in really nice surroundings! So looking forward to summer, and spend Norwegian summer nights in this area. Perfect size for the Oslo fjord area.
@@jackhaines123 yes! A very nice area to have a boat in. Many places to go to within a short distance and not too far to go further south or to west coast of Sweden.
I absolutely love this boat, I’ve been drooling over it since the Cannes boat show. So practical and user friendly, love the joystick system, I would’ve preferred a larger SIMRAD display and the shower is a tad too small for my build. Beautiful build quality, as you’d expect from Marex. I think it’s the only one with a side door , too, an essential item for me. The clever way the rear canvas canopy stows away is amazing, why all boats builders don’t adopt it is a mystery. Thanks Jack.
Considering I am almost never impressed by the newer generations idea of Naval Architecture this boat is an exception. I think it appeals to a more traditional boater as opposed to the guy in Miami that buys a boat based on how many colors the LEDs change. Ever notice those that buy boats with elliptical windows everywhere are the same people that just leave fenders out year round. Underway or at the dock. I really like the side decks taking off from the swim deck. Nice layout. Its also wise and rare to mix options from my mainstay Merc. With the mechanical nightmare that is Volvo just so newer boaters can learn an expensive lesson.
14:34 I absolutely love how practical this boat is, but please don't put an electric outlet, just behind the top of a cook hob. Or a TV on the wall over the cooking hob. Steam and pot spills happens when cooking, even when on solid, dry land. That's a serious electrical fire hazard. The TV circuits are literally going to be drenched in steam. An electronic devices like TV's, require those air slits in the back of them.
The hub has a glass cover that fold up and work as a backsplash when in use. The lack of an extractor fan or at least a openable vent in the window behind the stove is the larger issue.
@@BilldalSWE No. An electronic device over a cooker, is definitely the bigger issue. Unless the TV is sealed into a water tight container, which still runs a risk from condensation building up inside it as it heats up, building condensation on the TV itself. Yes, the lack of an extracter fan over the cooker is an issue, but the electric circuits will become an issue, well before the condensation on the ceiling will. Also, that glass cover is inadequate to stop the spills flowing around it.
What a fantastic boat that is and a superb little movie (I can't call that a video) 👍 Where was the sea trial performed? I'd like to check that place out on Google maps, it looks stunning there. 👍❤️🇬🇧
Love Marex over many of the other Scandi-type brands. It's the canopy rail!! What an idiotic notion of having to find storage for canopy panels, get them out, Rubik cube them into position, find storage for them ten minutes later as the sun comes out. Marex say CURTAINS to that.
I am wondering about insulation on boats in freezing weather. I notice how most of them seem to be single glazed windows, with little to no exterior wall thickness of an insulated wall. As someone who seen how mold grows in a warm room of a house, when an exterior wall or ceiling isn't properly insulated, I wonder how cold weather designed yaucts and cold weather boats in general deal with this both health and vessel maintenance hazard. I've literally dug into reach the concrete, not just the plaster and paint layers of a wall, to remove mold once. That's how much the living organism mold can literally dig into a surface. I've also seen a house with mold infestation so bad, that there was absolutely no question whatsoever, but the builders literally had to remove, the entire ceiling of some or maybe even all, of the rooms in that house.
Very impressive how much??? Iam a SEA RAY FAN I like their older models but buying a cheap one will cost more with Renovation and upgrades. But I wouldn't mind buying this mini yacht If it's at least $100,000

Induction dual stove top that flips up to reveal gas ones...brilliant! I have never seen that in any boat video!

Everything greatly thought of, except the cable connection and the gas hub, I see an issue there, if tv option is used.
Well sorted craft. It would be good to see some feature overnighters on boats of this size, just to get a perspective on practicality and useability.

How about a measuring tape? Especially in the cabin...

How much water depth is needed for these boats?
The draught is 2ft 9in (0.9m), depends how close you're comfortable getting to that...
