I fundamentally disagree with this logic. Hearing everyone’s thoughts, how bored they are with the conversation, what they’d rather be doing, silently judging me. That would be the worst. I’m bad enough with what my own brain comes up with the last thing I need is additional minds adding more things to the pile that I didn’t think of the first time. My anxiety doesn’t need to be a group project.

It’s not the how it happens that would be the problem, it’s the fact that you’d inevitably end up hearing things you’d be better off not knowing at all. The only way it would possibly be beneficial for someone’s anxiety is if you could somehow guarantee that all the people whose thoughts you hear only think of nice positive things which you could never guarantee. You might get some of that but you’d also inevitably hear the silent judging, criticism, irritation, and everything else people think but may not say to your face.

As an introvert I could definitely relate to this. I would be asking a lot of questions.
Notice how comfortable the Introvert was in the conversation up until the end? That's because the aliens were sufficiently not-human to avoid triggering his anxiety by their mere presence. Human extroverts, take notes, be more like aliens.

Hello everyone, I am an introvert. I CAN talk to large groups, I CAN engage in one on one conversation for extended periods of time, and I DO have a tolerance limit at which I must retreat and recharge. I typically avoid extroverts because they are more draining mentally than others.
HOWEVER, if you are acting strangly, dressed in a non-standard way, or discussing topics that are out of this world weird...you will likely draw my attention.
"Act alien" is probably one of the best pieces of advice for extroverts to gain the attention of introverts.
Of course, keeping out attention is a different matter. Lol

When he said I have like two friends, I started laughing because that is me all the way.
It gets worse when you're older and your friends start dying. For once, I have the "me first" attitude.
As an introvert who avoids social interaction at nearly all costs, my biggest fear is being embarrassed. When I'm in public, I usually become solely focused on how I look to other people, what others think of me, and the assumptions they make of me.

The trick to knowing what to do with your hands is to assume the person you are talking to is going to assault you at any second. Then it becomes obvious where to put them: somewhere you can quickly start throwing them.

Yess I suggest reading Remarried Empress, where one character is a mind reader and hence anti social. He also sometimes gets people's actual voices and thoughts confused and has to separate them
