Seeing some of these ultra expensive cars with foreign registrations (most of them look like from the Middle East) reminded me of when I worked in Beverly Hills years ago. Every year in the few weeks leading up to Christmas, I would see a few very high end cars driving around with Monaco plates, and then, just after Christmas, they would disappear again. It occurred to me how immensely wealthy the owners would have to be because they would have to be able to: a. afford these cars in the first place, b,. afford to live in Monaco, and c. afford to ship the cars over to the West coast of the US, for a few weeks and then ship them home again.
It seems that certain brands of cars now owned by Germany are very common in England. And what is more interesting is how the SUV shape has slowly become the common fashion.
nicest cars were the red e type and the classic mercedes convertible, not the most valuable by a long shot, but in terms of style and class they were way ahead of the modern cars. Driving a classic is a statement about pure style, it is not really saying anything about wealth, because most people do not know what a classic car is worth.
was there a car show going on, or is that a thing in London.. Granted, when i drive around in my Rolls here in a small town in iowa a few people will look, but in this video Ive seen like 5+ people record as the cars go by. I think I had one time in 6 month that someone has recorded my car as I drive by or parked lol
No there was no car show. It’s normal to see lots of carspotters taking video of cars because that’s a carspotting area where you’ll see lots of nice cars. Thank you for watching😊❤️
These Peeps probably barely put 100-300 on their mobile transit in a year … probably flying any other time … London is Riché & (apparently) a place to show it … nice videography for sure
Too bad that the Silver Cloud III drophead was an aftermarket conversion, and not particularly well done at that. I certainly enjoyed the E Type and the Benzes.
@@carspotterDM8 I very much enjoy your channel. I’m a knowledgeable enthusiast, so please don’t take offence if I criticise a car that isn’t original or correct.
@@JSDesign.Hongkong I thought the Silver Cloud was a good quality conversion, what features of it are making you say it is not a particularly good conversion? Genuine question, I'm curious to know what your assessment would be. Cheers.
@@christoph404 the first thing that struck me was the incorrect hide and incorrect hood material. These cars featured Connolly’s Vaumol hide, and also were very rarely specified with contrast piping. The hood should be Everflex, and its cover should be in hide. When equipped with electric window lifts, which were optional, they were fitted to the doors only and the read windows were always operated with manual handles - they’re completely missing on this car. The air conditioning is sloppily done, and the tyres are of incorrect diameter, making the car sit too low. I’ve seen the car up close, as it was once offered to me as a genuine HJ Mulliner adaptation, but I ran from it. I did, however, make a note of the chassis number, which I misplaced 🥴 but if I unearth it I’ll be sure to let you know.
European city streets? Too narrow, unfamiliar signs and street markings, etc., although I did drive on highways, such as from Paris to Marseille. But England, with its driving on the left…shudder….never! However, I have two friends, their first time in Europe, who rented a car and drove all over cities and towns in Britain and Scotland with no accidents, and just one flat tire! If I didn’t see video and photos, I would never have believed it. You could pay me good money (GBP, of course), but I would never drive in London.
Yes Sir this is in London and the cars here are right hand drive but just get used to it so it's ok to drive here, thank you very much for watching my video👍😊

Where are all the white Londoners. This simply does not look like London anymore: how sad.
don't like modern RR....
looks like tanks...
