kung naka taas ng yung idle screw ( ito yung idle mixture screw located sa gitna between carburetor and intake manifold ) ibig sabihin naka counterclockwise po yung screw, ay possible na hindi aandar ang makina dahil pag counterclockwise at sobrang naka taas ay magiging too rich ang condition at mahihirapan ang sparkplug sunogin ang sobrang fuel.
possible na ang tinutukoy nyu na idle screw ay yung idle speed screw ( ito yung screw located sa gilid na naka link sa opening ng throttle plate pag pinihit ito pa clockwise, mag oopen ang throttle plate at pag naka counterclockwise ay mag close ang throttle plate.
Kung halimbawa, tama ang pag set sa idle mixture screw at idle speed screw, at mataas parin ang idle rpm, possible po na yung fast idle screw ang problema, ang screw na ito ay vacuum actuated, possible na may problema yung actuator or possible na mali ang setting ng fast idle screw, may video po ako nito tungkol sa adjustment ng fast idle screw.
ang trabaho po ng fast idle screw ay parang FI ang starting ng makina, during cold engine start, itataas ng fast idle screw ang idle rpm para madaling maabot ang normal engine temperature by crack opening the throttle plate temporarily, at pag nasa normal engine temp na ay unti unting mag close ang throttle plate para mag normalize ang idle rpm, ang fast idle screw ay may linkage sa thermal piston ng automatic choke.
