    Huh?
    She was asked what she was going to do with her platform, to help others around the racism, and all she did was repeat an earlier sentence.
    Scripted and fake.
    Wow, the five finalists looked exactly alike. I couldn't tell them apart.

  • @younguy1979
    @younguy1979 8 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    i am totally for black lives matter, but i just hope that these teens listen to hip hop and so many blacks use foul language, N-word and sometimes it just comes off. not an excuse at all, but i know we've all been guilty of saying it because it sounded cool or was following some lyrics of a song.
    what i'm saying is that all people should stop using this fucking word, yes even black people because the word gives power to demonize blacks in this country and make them less of a human whenever this word is used.
    so instead of all picking on this one girl who herself is victim of an environment we live in, why not use your personal fucking time to reflect how much YOU'VE FUCKING used the word too and make that change instead of sitting on your fucking ass and attack her. REFLECT on yourself instead!

    The irony is that even in this time the title of a winner of beauty pageant is so overrated. These contestants should be ashamed to participate because people are going to judge them by their Facial attributes, body, height and every other superficial thing!
    And about the racist tweets part,
    15 y.o. kids shouldn't be thinking like that!
    They should know how tragic the history was. Using that word to hurt someone's feelings is too inhumane. Kids are supposed to have pure hearts! But Guess what they are judging kids by their looks, body and everything else!
    And at last i just want to say that I'm not an american, I don't know every detail of history of America but what i know is that if this girl has been to school, then she would have known that there is a subject called 'history'. If you learnt history then you learnt how tragic was the past! This apology is nothing but an answers she memorized before giving the interview.
    Peace 🙏

    The blonde template is out of date. This girl is dull, all 5 of them were dull. They leave us out because they know we are far better looking than them. Jealousy does it nothing else.

  • @calmand29
    @calmand29 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Of course, the N-word is horribly offensive and should never be used, quite frankly by anyone of any color. But, the abbreviated term is rampant in hip hop music, much of which white kids buy. So, it's somewhat of double standard to tell one group not to use it (or sing it) when it's used over and over in the music they're singing along to and the way they communicate to their crew. Obviously, social media is never a place to use anything like that, but again, these are kids that we're trying to continue to educate. She apologized. Move on.
    Also, with regard to 5 white blondes in the top 5. That's not atypical. That's coincidence for that year, but there have been brunette finalists and winners as well African-Americans in other years. Too, many of the top finalists are from the south, to which I'm very proud. Are we supposed to start shaming the pageant on that basis, too?

  • @jessicalynnstrom
    @jessicalynnstrom 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Pull her crown. There’s a runner up for a reason. They are there to step in if a winner is not able to continue in their role or if she is shown to have poor character. She has shown she has had poor character so pull the crown. There’s no reason for them to have continued to let her continue in the title. She’s clearly running off a script.

      Alright, what if I call you inbred. It's just a word right? It's not even the fact that it's a word, its the context behind the word that causes people to backlash. There's hypocrisy with people saying it recreationally (if that's the proper term to use), but those people are just as bad.

      Using the n word towards a black person? Yes, I know people in university with me who use it both "jokingly" and offensively. I guess it's a matter of perspective for some people.

      Well like I said, it's a matter of perspective, but ignorance is bliss.

      who are you to make a "get over it" comment? and you're white? please, shut your mouth & stay in your place. it is more than just 'a word'.
