Sakurasou no Pet Na Kanojo is an anime that is worth your time. The anime still holds up even almost 10 years later and continues to be one of the best romantic comedies I've ever watched!

Because of how the LN ended J.C. Staff had to make a number of ammends to the story in order to tie the knots up while still only adapting volumes 1-6, causing Sakurasou to no longer be a rom-com anymore as the romance stuff actually happened in the later chapters. Also judging from how both were written it seems that Hajime wrote Sakurasou and Bunny Girl Senpai with a similiar idea in mind and BGS was most likely another shot at this idea. Both stories feature the characters tackling real life problems and he wanted them to feel "real". Of course it was done much better in BGS but while I was watching this anime for the first time I thought "Wait isn't this like OG BGS? The BGS before BGS?" as I could see similiar themes

If you’re asking for a recommendation, I would recommend Stars align. It was a very enjoyable and deep sports anime that sadly got axed half way through because the studio decided to do so so late into production. I think the fate of the anime is a tragedy that still pops up in my head from time to time.
