    Thanks for the video, and also for the humor. Seeing as you have a 'Vilnius' patch saved on your master Analog Heat, I should probably check out that Lithuanian video. Have a good holiday.

    Great video! Got an analogue heat a month ago and fell in love with it.
    As Dataline says, it felt like the missing part in my production process to get "that" sound - warm, fat, analogue, alive feeling.
    Also seeing a lot of inspiring ways in this vid to modulate the sound which i did not yet use; so thanks for the inspriation!

    Awesome how the noisy audio leak from the video chip VIC-II joins the Analog Heat in the MSSIAH demo. I always thought that was noise from the SID or RF mod. A great watch and enjoyed it to the fullest! :)

    WOW. yup, i should be envious ... 2 x heat 2 x Octatrack, rytm, A4 etc etc.. but your'e so chilled Cenk - you should be Mr Humbledata... and you have a bald head - so do i, this is good!
    I have A4 and RTYM - i love the sound possibilities already but im waiting for a digitakt cause i guess this will be a good link to add samples and sequence other gear. Thanks for the vid but not so much thanks for making me spend so much money on this gear!!

  • @Mr_ToR
    @Mr_ToR 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    üstad, 21:52 you need a noise gate between the compressing analog heat and the noisy output of c64. such a shame that analog heat doesn't have it. I'm sure it could be fixed with a firmware update.

  • @brianf.burkejr.1488
    @brianf.burkejr.1488 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    The analog Heat is an amazing machine/ set of circuits that should have been done long ago. I have always though digital keyboards and workstations would benefit from real analog filters and envelops instead of digital emulations, it wouldn't even cost more or o=possibly as much, it is very expensive to model analog circuitry accurately and they ALWAYS miss by at least a little bit.

    • @MrDataline

      BoBeats yes, analog heat is the sound card in that setup :)

    • @BoBeats
      @BoBeats 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      MrDataline thanks mate! I am considering picking one up... but how is the latency? Is it really viable as a sound card playing VST instruments?

    • @elissitdesign
      @elissitdesign 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      No VST inst on this setup buddy. You need an OS to run a VST (computer). You missed the whole point of this video and that is "to ditch the computer" The Octatrack is a great sequencer that replaces the need for a computer.

    • @BoBeats
      @BoBeats 8 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      Eric, I did not miss anything. I was merely curious about the Heats capabilities as a sound card. I understand his setup pretty well since I have the AK+Octa+Rytm.

    Hi there! love the video, and I'm very stoked about the new version of Overbridge. I have a question, regarding your use of the Octatrack, at 15:20. You unmuted the tracks 2 and 3 and they started playing on the downbeat of the next bar. I own an Octatrack (and a Rytm and a Analog Four and a Monomachine - fan boy!) but I have to say I never used my octa this way. How did you set up these tracks to behave this way? Thanks in advance!!

    Petty, Petty Sweet
    I just wonder if an iPad Could get more interesting with an analog Heat ?
    Besides working with stems from pro‘s i asked myself if the mix i end up, is actually my mix?
    If i spend an amount of at least ten Hours with it, i end up in similar phrases... do i more pay as a Amateur producer for the quality of a longer signalchain, or a big Studio with great machines?
    Or is this just my feeling about buiz of Electronic Music?

    Hey Cenk, will you please answer my question? All of your videos are major inspiration for my music writing. Do you run your TB-03 or TR-09 thru the Analog Heat? If so, which one or do you run them both thru it. Also, how would you say Analog Heat has worked for making the TB-03 sound like more like original 303? Lastly, Sherman Filterbank 2 or Analog Heat? Thanks man.

    • @MrDataline
      @MrDataline  8 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Marek M I can do both, all the instruments shown on the control panel can record individually on ableton, i personally just recording the main out from the Heat shown. I think I mention that through the video :)

  • @MrPeyghman
    @MrPeyghman 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    hey Dataline. Great video !
    Just a question : isnt it a bit of a waste to record you wonderful elektron machines trough Overbridge than trough a great soundcard ? I've noticed a significant quality loss betweenthose two techniques. But of course with the sound card the input number is important...

    • @MrDataline
      @MrDataline  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      MrPeyghman hmm, you see I am not the right person to comment on sound cards... What I can say that using analog heat in this way to record master output has been working really well for me..
