I have one myself and the problem is I put the heater on and it suddenly became sunny so I went to turn it off but it was so hot upfront of the heater I couldn't put my hand near it
Great video, thank you, I pick mine up on Thursday, same colour but with the 10 spoke wheels, can't wait, yippee. Oh And best review I've seen on this car, but I may be biased based on the colour....
Does it have a rear screen wiper and is that big window electrically heated ? And the front screen for that matter. A good real-world appraisal. Cheers.
@@ShanesAutos gosh ! You're a spritely fella. Not quite a deal breaker Shane but since I'm coming from a Fiesta Titanium, fully loaded as you well know, a bit of a culture shock on a cold, wet winter morning !. Still, if those hardy Letterkennyians can hack it, I'll give it a whirl.
Have to disagree with your take on diesels. Although it's not available here in Canada, I would happily take one. It's all about the torque; that's where the fun is. I used to drive a Beetle TDi. It was plenty quick off the line and could cruise effortlessly at 150kph all day. I would imagine the one in the TT would be even more impressive.
Don’t get me wrong, a diesel has plenty of torque and is more fuel efficient but in a purpose built sports car it’s just seems weird. It’s not a sporty sound engine and because diesel engine are made of steel and therefore heavier than the equivalent petrol engine, there more weight to lug around which compromises things like handling.
hey man i wanted to get your permission to use (Letterkenny Cruise May 2015: Show Cars and Powersliding)video on my channel i want to edit it and upload it on my channel which btw i loved the footage tat you got and i will link your channel in the video and description thanks in advanced :) btw i will say it again so you wont get the wrong idea i will not be claiming the video is mine :) thanks once again
The removment of the center screen is a downgrade, passengers can't do and see a thing be it music or navigation... Maybe they have it as an option to have both. Ironcially, the volume control is on the passenger side kinda hidden by the shifter :D
Tbh I think it is designed to be used by the passenger; the steering wheel has a volume wheel on it too so that would be for the drivers use I'd assume.
never really understood this argument. People mostly set their navigation before they set off, and the majority of people use bluetooth on their phone to control the music, which the passenger can obviously do without the screen
No it’s just Diesel engines are focused on economy so they are best suited for more practical cars. This is a sports car so naturally it’s best equipped with a sporty high powered petrol engine, it suits the character of such a car better. This is a matter of opinion though, I personally would never buy a diesel sports car. If I wanted a diesel Audi, there’s more than enough to go around.
I guess since the Golf and A3 share the same platform with this, it was super simple to shove a Diesel in it without extra costs, and that's why they offer it, even though it's completely stupid. You can't fool us with the "ultra Diesel" label, Audi, it's still family cars' and farmers' fuel...
But would ruin the car. Putting a diesel in a sports car makes no sense 😂 If your buying a sports car you want a proper high revving petrol not a low revving heavy diesel.
@@FragGile maybe so but the GT86 is one of my favourite cars and I’m planning to buy one in the next year or two. It’s one of the most fun and engaging sports cars out there even if it is just under 200 bhp.
best audi tt review i have watched and i have watched plenty, straight talk about back seats . but istill want one
He should try the diesel version,I have the mk2 Quattro and it's still just as much fun to drive and great accelerating,
And its absurdly fuel effecient. With a tune its 200 hp
Very cool review! Looks like a blast!
Brilliant review very informative 👍

David Taylor no rear wiper on TT’s. Windows aren’t heated, not sure if it’s an option. Rear window just has the standard demister.

just curious why people think this car shouldn't have diesel engine? it because it will effect on the performance or ?

Love the tt I have one in this colour love it 😀 😍 ❤ 💕
If you think that car is fast.... you should try a TTS with the 292 hp !!

Leave the keys in your pocket.
If Toyota Put their D4D in a GT86 It would probably be faster 😂

@@ShanesAutos I genuinely agree with you to be honest, i actually like that car and its had a lot of praise but it's just too slow
