I love these pages and the corners are a cool idea. When I make tags with double sided construction paper I glue the corners on the bottom of the tags for extra color. If the tags are one sided paper I use on other tags for a pop of color. Still sending Positive Vibes and Blessings to Mike.🐞🐞🐞

The collage edges are such a nice texture to add to a journal. The soft pastel page is gorgeous. We had a white Christmas here in north east Kansas this year with no wind so it was beautiful. It was only a couple three inches. It’s rare that we get picturesque snow much less a white Christmas. Since I had nowhere I had to be, I totally enjoyed the snow. 😊

It amazes me the things I learn by watching TH-cam videos. Today I learned what Mamigami paper is. On an unrelated note and not that it really matters but I was shocked when you mentioned you had a grandson because you have a very young sounding voice. 😁

I've been wanting to use my onion skins to dye some book pages and make some momagami (because older books with the natural discoloration wouldn't hold up to all that scruching). So I paused you and went to grab my bag of onion skins and...I can't find it! It's been in the same spot for a couple of months. Where did it go! Now I'll spend the rest of the day looking for it 👀 👀 👀. So frustrating. It can't just disappear! 🤔 Maybe Chip (he's our mini Elf on a shelf) played a prank on me. I should make some of these pages with scraps. I haven’t done that in ages. A couple of years ago I did it for Christmas with Christmas postage stamps. I think maybe I’ll do it this with washi tape. I was watching Wendy at Wendy’s Journal Adventures doing master boards with washi tape, but she had a lot of the wide washi and I only have a couple of the wide ones. Most of mine are small, so I think that would work better to do these pages with as opposed to it just sitting in my drawer, I need to unhoard it?
Gayle-I purchased the same printer you did when your other one died. What weight of paper do you usually use? It seems like when you tear paper with that ruler, that it tears so easy. Love your youTube. You can make people laugh at the same time you teach us things.
@@gayleagostinelli_ct Not sure what the billing for journal pages is. Maybe you meant the matte photo paper was for the journal pages. When I used regular copy paper for coffee dying they ended up drying out and tearing easy on some of them. I live in high altitude of AZ and very dry. So not sure if that is why. The pages that wanted to tear are at least 3 years old. Thanks so much for responding. We only have Walmart here, so the Red River Paper site sure does help. I will also look at some of your youtube info to hopefully find other places :)

So, here I am again with a question: what would you use these for? It’s the first time I’ve seen you collaging the edges only. Also, if I were to start making journals, what would you say are the must tools I would need to begin with?
These are signature pages. The collage around the edge adds interest and leaves the center for writing. Thanks for asking! I shouldn’t have assumed that folks had seen me do this before. Must have tools. First a good book binding kit. There is a good one available on my website (listed in the description box under my videos) under Gayle’s Favorite Things at gayleagostinelli.com/gayles-favorite-things/. A good cutter. The Tim Holtz ruler I use is one of my most used tools. A score board. A bonus tool is a sewing machine. Those are what I can think of off the top of my head. If you are watching lots of journal making videos, maybe take note of the tools that all the makers are using the most too. Hope that helps! ❤

Gayle uses a knitting needle cap, they come in different sizes to protect the point of your knitting needles so you don’t stab people. You can buy them in the sewing section of Hobby Lobby, or probably any store that has a knitting or sewing section.

I use 26 lb matte photo paper from Red River Paper Co. billing for journal pages. And cheap copy paper for collage. Hope that helps! ❤

These are signature pages. The collage around the edge adds interest and leaves the center for writing. Thanks for asking! I shouldn’t have assumed that folks had seen me do this before. Must have tools. First a good book binding kit. There is a good one available on my website (listed in the description box under my videos) under Gayle’s Favorite Things at gayleagostinelli.com/gayles-favorite-things/. A good cutter. The Tim Holtz ruler I use is one of my most used tools. A score board. A bonus tool is a sewing machine. Those are what I can think of off the top of my head. If you are watching lots of journal making videos, maybe take note of the tools that all the makers are using the most too. Hope that helps! ❤

Hi Gayle. I was looking on Amazon for the Sugar Bell bottles for my Fabri tac. I have a question I bet you can answer…it looks like the sugar bell bottle doesn’t come with a cap/lid/stopper. Is yours just left open? Thanks for your time. ❤❤❤👍
Gayle uses a knitting needle cap, they come in different sizes to protect the point of your knitting needles so you don’t stab people. You can buy them in the sewing section of Hobby Lobby, or probably any store that has a knitting or sewing section.
