I love seeing from any interview (I am a wrestling fan as well as a rap fan so I love seeing legends stay consistent when they bounce from platform to platform telling their stories)
In the WWF, HTM drew money with Jake. He drew money with Savage. He drew money with Beefcake. He drew money with Warrior. The guy was a big star who knew how to get heat.
He was a big star in the 80’s problem is he kind peaked around 88/89 and never really got back on top again. He still thought he was a huge star right up to like 2010, when in reality he’d spent 20 years with a short gig in WCW then scratching a living on the indies and doing drunk (but hilarious) shoot interviews to make cash. He was solid upper mid card, never main event material in his heyday.
I could listen to HTM and Gerald talk all day about the good old days. I’ve decided Jerry and Jack are two of the greatest men the biz ever produced. Thank God for the Briscos.
I have always loved the 🐓💩 heels. The kind of wrestler that would beg his opponent for mercy and intentionally hit the ref to get disqualified to keep his title. Honky is one of the best of all time. Great show, gents.🤘
As a kid I hated Honky!! As a 19-21 year old I hated JBL!! Now I'm 37 Ive loved these two for years now🤣 Appreciate it!! I also hated Jim Cornette now love him lol. LEGENDS!! Cheers from New Zealand 🍺🍻
HTM had a huge huge run in the 80s....he probably woulda been the top card at times if it weren't for hulkamania hoggin it up .... he had heat w legends like macho man, jake roberts, ultimate warrior, beefcake, and i wanna say tito santana& steamboat a lil bit too.... he was one of the kings of heat
I love these stories takes me straight back to my childhood and the wrestling magazines I would read and HTM was the biggest heel in WWF in 87&88 but he don’t get the credit he deserves
Legend! So good to see and hear handful of 80s wrestlers in good shape, good health, and feeding us nostalgia! These guys were superheroes in my eyes and they were global phenomenon.....trust me, I am not American.
Brisco and HTM, goatd podcast. you take me back to a place and time i wasnt even alive, but i could feel the realism. HTM the greatest shooter of aalllll time
Great show been watching wrestling since the 70s started in the old building in nashville i remember Lance showing tupelo match with honky on sat. Morning good memories your show tells the stories
Great show guys. Thank you for having maybe the best intercontinental champion of all time but definitely Wayne Farris gives the best shoot interviews of all time numbers don't lye.Wayne you need to go on Hannibal again the two of you have great chemistry that every shoot interview is a classic. There's no better collaboration than Hannibal and Wayne
I wish they would have put you with Lanny (The Genius) and gave you the Tag belts...That would have been heat and fun to watch how you kept the belts each week. You were both artist Poems and Songs and wins every week
I just discovered these interviews not that long ago. Out of all the ones I’ve seen this is by far the best after the one with Kane. Honky Tonk is such a great storyteller and so candid, someone who you could sit down with and have a beer with keep up the great work guys !!!!
Ehhh Shoutouts from Ontario Canada , huge fan of you know bradshaw....i used to hate you back in 2004-2008 "smackdown days" 😂😂😂 back when i was a kid....sheeesh..you were the best heel i ever personally watched, the way you talked and ragged on Rey Mysterio..really got to me 😂😂
I'm a huge Jim cornette podcast fan with Brian last but the stories with Briscoe and Bradshaw has taken first place I love this podcast nothing but pure entertainment and fun
Can't believe took me so long to find this great podcast. TH-cam's algorithm not doing a good job, I watched wrestling stuff constantly and is the first time the podcast came up under recommended. Keep up the good work guys thanks.
Wayne probably got the most heat in his era as HTM ( 86-96 ), incredible. won’t see that again, it’s one of the last true heat before the business was totally exposed.
Also as a kid I was a huge Elvis fan thanks to my Grandparents and my first memories of WWF was seeing this Elvis guy and because he was like Elvis I wanted to like Honky but I couldn't🤣 so confusing lol
The craziest thing is he ended up being a bigger star in the pro wrestling business than Jerry Lawler ever was. Because most fans today know Jerry Lawler as a commentator
My most hated heel as a kid!! He was soooo good. The Tupelo Consesson Stand brawl can be TH-camd, a modern classic that gave birth to Hard Core style (yes, HTM is a huge reason ECW even existed!!)
As HTM stated in another interview, there were two teams: Hogan with the WWE belt headed the A Team and HTM with the IC belt (and the tag champs) headed the B Team. But both teams were selling out everywhere. I loved Honky's gimmick, making fun of an American legend.
I mean... when you think about it... is there really a dispute as far as who is the greatest Intercontinental Champion of all time? He took a dead end gimmick and made it memorable to this day. That's why people hate what happened to the IC title compared to its heyday in the late 80s-mid 90s
Now that was a wrestling Podcast interview thank you and it was very well done. And Wayne Farris, answer all the questions I will subscribe I'm a fan of wrestling yesterday not today. And I appreciate this video ❤️
I wish Honky had been able to stay more relevant after dropping the belt to Warrior, and not going into the Rythm and Blues. He is so good at psycology, and as much as he wasn't the very best in the ring, boy his brain and his mouth did so much more work than his body. With The Mouth of the South, Honky was money! I learn a lot about the business listening to Honky and others like Bruce Prichard, as they talk so much sense about how to tell a story in the wrestling business. It is more about the mind than the muscles is what I have learnt, and sometimes you have to have a mind to work with the muscles to get the muscles over!!!
It’s crazy that wwe or aew doesn’t hire honky to do something in either company the guy is a wealth of knowledge and could really help the young talent heels especially get over
people may dislike bradshaw for being a bully but people forget the times they were in. i was in sport and it was normal at that time. people need to see it as a test, your either tough enough to take it and give some back or your not. if i was a promotor or one of the boys i wouldnt want someone who cant hold his own in my team. but i bet you this, as much of a bully he was, if anyone from the outside gave the boys shit for any reason he would be the one to stand for the boys. just one of those types of people. he will give you shit and tease you but he will also be the first one to defend you from any outside idiots.
He wrestled every one of note for that ic belt and would get a good hiding but sneak out with the gold even wrestled Bruno and Bruno beat the shit out of him . It's a shame they didn't make him and Greg Valentine tag team champions and do the same thing . That would make money
I love HTM's storys, no bull! Everytime I hear one of his storys it always stays consistent and enjoyable!
I love seeing from any interview (I am a wrestling fan as well as a rap fan so I love seeing legends stay consistent when they bounce from platform to platform telling their stories)
Exactly when you tell the truth it's not hard to remember and doesn't change
The greatest interview of ALL TIME!
Without A doubt yell
Absolutely love Honky Tonk shoot interviews. The best
I love HTM’s stories about the Herb Welch days of his career and all them Memphis boys like Lawler, Dr D, Jarrett, etc
In the WWF, HTM drew money with Jake. He drew money with Savage. He drew money with Beefcake. He drew money with Warrior. The guy was a big star who knew how to get heat.
Sold out MSG about 7 or 8 times in his run too
0+

@@Dessan01 cant deny this information either lol. Sheeesh
HTM always has the best stories! The man is entertaining as hell!!
This show is great thanks JBL and Gerry
Honkeys got to be one of the best wrestler to interview. He’s traveled all over knows everybody and I couldn’t stand him when he wrestled
I could listen to HTM and Gerald talk all day about the good old days. I’ve decided Jerry and Jack are two of the greatest men the biz ever produced. Thank God for the Briscos.
Great interview. The concession stand was pure genius.
the greatest ic champion of all time
Honky Tonk Man, king of the shoot interview!

Love HTM, thank you guys so much for getting him on, hes a great laugh.
Great interview!!! Bring Honkytonk back for another interview!!!
Honky just had to take a jab at Jake Roberts lol.
I can listen to Honk all day

I truly believe the honky talk man is the most undoned wrestler in the world he deserves a lot more respect and recognition
Kidding me?
Honky Tonk Man is very recognized!
Honky was there in 97, in the rumble in 98, then in 2001.
What an excellent interview. As usual, Honky was candid, yet tactful.
I didn't care much for the honky tonk man in the day much but over the past decade Ive really began to appreciate him and love him really
truly great if only we had stars like this today with this kind of ability these show are better than tv !!!!

Honky Tonk Man was that guy you LOVED TO HATE.........and it worked.
HTM has some of the best interviews. I'm sure this one will be just as good! Seems likes he's really mellowed out.
I can listen to Wayne talk 24 7 lol I'm a song and dance guy
Wayne probably got the most heat in his era as HTM ( 86-96 ), incredible. won’t see that again, it’s one of the last true heat before the business was totally exposed.
Love seeing HTM! Gives the Truth about the wrestling business.
HTM is one of the most memorable wrestlers of all time. Great interview.
Excellent , Thank you
HTM is a legend! One of my all time favorites

I would have never thought seeing Wayne Ferris (one of the Blonde Bombers) make it out of Memphis to make the big stage.
Great show. Best one yet
love this guy ...the way he describes savage walking around looking around for him it was classic
Awesome stories.Very entertaining interview. Thanks Honky Tonk
He should have been the leader of the NWO...
That would have been neat

This episode make me subscribe. Can’t believe I’ve subscribed to a JBL show. O

Greatest intercontinental champion of all time. The Honky Tony Man...

I like how this channels playlists are set up with videos that involve the person that is being inteeviewed
Oh God this is awesome! Happy birthdays!!!
Wayne was true to his word, and true to pro wrestling!❤
Wow! HTM ditched the Jeff Bridges look.
Excellent interview!
$999? That ain't a thousand.

I really enjoyed your conversation, they going to do the briscoes are my favorite wrestlers of all time
Incredible. Honky is a gem.
"They wont even sell eye gouges" 😂😂😂
Being from the same area of Tn as Wayne I love his Southern drawl. I have had people in New Joesee tell me I talk funny
Now that was a wrestling Podcast interview thank you and it was very well done. And Wayne Farris, answer all the questions I will subscribe I'm a fan of wrestling yesterday not today. And I appreciate this video ❤️
The greatest intercontinental champion so true!!!
Great interview!
When Honky played 🎸 guitar n Hart played keyboard 🎹, they had a sign saying ELVIS WHO?? 😂 😆 LOL
Very entertaining
Good to see all these guys doing well.
Great show fellas keep it up
Nice work, fella's.
When Honky said of his dealings with Ultimate Warrior. I'm not a fighter guys "I'm a Song & Dance Man" I freaking lost it 😂😂😂😂😭.LOL
I enjoy the old Wrestling stories
The best ever, should have had a Championship run 👏👏
Ahh'm Ruff an' Ahh'm Tuff--- Ahh Pick mah Nose an' Ahh Ee-yut the Stuff.
I saw a rumble and John Layfield came out of comertry went in and straight out .and they said it was his first Rumble appearance
Honky Tonk man is the best

Tell that to blue meanie and others, Stevie Richard's and couple others straightedge Bradshaw out.
Hard to get a word in there with Honky but still a very good interview.
Last time I saw HTM on TH-cam he had long white beard. Glad he shaved it he looks better.
Honky Tonk man always talks sense.
jbl looks lost
Ah man I miss his white hair and beard
WAIT .... YOU SAID THE GREATEST INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMP ... I DONT SEE THE MIZ!?!?!
Need a book and a map to keep up.
Man Wayne was really cool in this interview. His old “heel,” shoot persona was getting a bit stale haha. Or maybe I’d seen them all too many times
Mr Honky?😂😂
Barry was the top babyface for Knoxville.
Love your show. But at the end of each one I feel like I got to wipe my phone clean from Briscoes saliva.
Will you do something about his crappy mic.
Calgary a culture shock? Ya cause Puerto Rico is just the same as Memphis
His IC run deserved more time. Had serious heat that has rarely been matched since.
It ended as perfect as could be and is still the longest reign ever, when would you have ended it?
He wrestled every one of note for that ic belt and would get a good hiding but sneak out with the gold even wrestled Bruno and Bruno beat the shit out of him . It's a shame they didn't make him and Greg Valentine tag team champions and do the same thing . That would make money
