Excellent playthrough. I do think it was a bit of a mistake to take so much from Ming when you seized the mandate, though, because you can get all those cores for free just by sieging it down with the unite china CB. Grabbing money from them (they are the bank of Ming, after all...lol) and securing the imperial cities you need to keep the mandate high as well as some territory to Isolate them from their greedy neighbors might have been better.

Now I'm doing a run going colonization, my economy actually helps a ton but it's still like 1580 now and I'm barely making more of a surplus than you are! And I'm mounting about 70k men. I still don't understand how you managed to get this lucky. Whatever playthrough I tried, litterally a couple dozen, after the initial couple show of strenght wins, everyone around you alies too many daimyo and your forces get wiped, or you end up going so far in debt you can never get out. Once you break one promise land, others won't join your wars with the same promise, even with favors. As a result, unifying Japan takes a lot longer than 1500. That fantastic start is what in turn keeps your tech very high, and makes korea afraid to engage you when you land on their shores. Otherwise they get a hefty bonus for that disembark penalty. Also, I tend to play quite a bit in that region, japan, philippines, south east asia nations. You attacked a pretty much full solid ming at 1537. In more than half of my games, ming has released the south by 1510, and completely collapsed by 1530. I have several saves where without any interference, Ming is completely gone at 1530, replaced by shun, or some other entity as emperor. In lots of games, the emperor title doesn't exist at 1540. I'm calling console shenanigans.
No console commands whatsoever some unify Japan without show of strength and if you manage to pick the right fights and get ahead of military tech you should beat everyone in the Sengoku Jidai.
