    Some good old pictures , thanks for sharing .I was at cliffe hill from 90 till September 20 and remember the good times before this cpc and digital tacho .remember Adrian bland was the only tipper driver I known to go work in a tie and go home clean .top bloke ady bland well respected and missed.

    I did a lot of relief driving in Bankfield Clitheroe… when it was carefree and you could make good money…Tarmacs gone down the pan since then

    I was a owner driver on tarmacs for years i new a lot of good drivers I am retired now I had some good times and some hard times with Tarmac.

    There is a shot of Tarmac Amptill trucks i was an o/d from start of the plant untill it closed happy times but the plant had a reputation of breakdowns north london oxfordshire the new m40 pluss
    M/k and bedfordshie was served with most of the inputs local sand and stone mainly from cliffhill leicster

    My dad, myself and my brother Dave all drove for Tarmac Corby, I left in 1978 to pursue another career. Dad and Dave stayed on until Corby closed.

    I use to like there 6x4 Leyland constructors they looked like proper work horses and in there dark green livery was the best

      When I look at vintage truck sites, I realise I drove some of them, Scammel tankers, Ford ‘D type’, six wheelers, AEC, six wheelers, Leyland Reiver six wheeler.
