    For the first time...ever, I'm considering learning to make my own glazes. There has to be a huge sense of pride to be able to truly 100% make something... including mixing the glaze formulas. Thanks for sharing. Excellent vid.

      Both, it just depends on the piece and the glaze combo. Often I do both with one piece.

      I actually make it. Here is the recipe
      Satin white glaze
      Frit 3134. 1000g
      Om4 ball clay. 1000g
      Silica. 1000g
      Spodumene. 1000g
      Dolomite. 1000g
      Super pax or ultrox. 500g

      @@JoesphBarron I don’t usually measure specific gravity. I usually add about 4.3 litres of water to start with this size batch. I let it sit for a day because sometimes glaze thickens. Then just use the finger method and just how it looks to get the consistency I want. I usually have to slowly add a little more water.
