But I couldn't help nitpicking his choices. Someone else already talked about Tomb Raider, so I'm going to say that Mortal Kombat may be a sentimental fave but it's not a very good movie, certainly not as good as Resident Evil, which didn't get in the Dan's Hall of Fame.

Chris used to be with Defy Media, appeared in at least one Movie Fight, and was part of the launch of Screen Junkies Plus back in the day. Jeremy Jahns and Andre Meadows (Black Nerd Comedy) were also associated with Screen Junkies Plus through their Defy Media connection. Hard to believe that was just like 5 years ago. 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽Great review on Sonic! Though I found it same as you “ the death scene!” I wasn’t too impressed by it. Jim Carey was awesome it reminded me of his earlier days too. Overall I liked it, was fun to watch reminisce when I was young. It’s unfortunate didn’t get the chance to take my kids to see it before the quarantine. 🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️😅✌🏽
Glad Dan enjoyed both. I have a 7 year old so Sonic was a no-brainer to watch. I too thought it was good. I will now watch BB3 because I can feel the legit happiness Dan had with it. Great review!
I liked this video a lot! Loved the hall of fame! Just yesterday I was thinking I wish you would upload a video, I'm just so used to seeing you most days of the week
Doing great Dan! Looking forward to your "Why I love videos." I give you full credit for encouraging me to watch Jaws for the first time because I knew you loved it so much and may I say, it was AMAZING! Absolutely loved the film.
loving the new channel so far can't wait to see all the success your going to have. Your someone who I genuinely look up to for what you do not only as the greatest schmoedown competitor of all time but as one of the most likable, intelligent and interesting voices in the youtube film content community
You’re killing it, Dan. I’m watching every review of yours whether I’m interested in the film or not. Your style of analyzing is refreshing and your humorous point of view is pitch perfect.
Hey Dan, I hope this comment reaches you. Thank you for bringing up drive-in theaters in this video. I love movies, and I’ve been missing the theater tremendously. But your mention reminded me of our local drive-in here in Sacramento, which led to a very enjoyable night out with my wife. We saw a double feature last night with Raiders of the Lost Ark, as well as Last Crusade. I love these movies, and it was so much fun seeing them on the big screen. Quarantine is tough, but a night with my wife, our dogs, a bag of popcorn and M&M’s, and Indiana Jones ended up being one of my favorite movie-going experiences in years.
This video was fantastic! I laughed out loud multiple times and I appreciate your take on all movies. You are up there with just a few other You Tube creators that I will watch every single video you put out there. Also - more Hall of Fames!!!
You are a fantastic reviewer/critic. Such a professional with incredible knowledge. Best in the biz. Great to see you out on your own. You’re going to kill it!
Hey Dan, so sad to see you leave SJ as I have been a fellow watcher for about three years now. You guys had so much chemistry. However, I am excited to see you do your own thing.
Nice Chris Stuckmann book! Your structure and style of your videos kinda reminds me of his. Not a bad thing at all. Chris is definitely a much better critic/TH-camr then a majority of them out there. Congrats again on the new channel Dan. Love all your content
Great video dan! Constructive criticism though, the shadow cast by your hat with that lighting makes it hard to see your eyes. Maybe a lil lighting adjustment? Looking forward to the next vid.
Patreon is a website that content creators and artists set up that allows people to make direct support to that person. Most of the time it is set up for recurring monthly support (commonly 2/5/10/25, etc. I don't know Dan's though) and at different levels of support you get access to additional content (for Dan, to my knowledge this is some extra videos, like the movie club he mentions; other's I've seen include swag, private discord access, special events, etc.). Patreon takes a small amount for processing (to my knowledge, a respectably small amount, it wasn't gouging creators last I knew), but most goes direct to the creator.
Alex James agreed. Many channels have recognizable tropes. This one can stick for sure even if he has to get creative coming up with a category each time lol
Thanks, haven’t seen either of these movies. Waiting for a streaming service I have to pick them up. Recently saw the previous Bad Boys, again...so I’m ready for this next installment. Glad to hear that you believe it is better than its predecessors. Didn’t grow up in the 90s, but the 70s...so I don’t really have a personal connection to Sonic, but my kids loved it. So, I think I’ll invite my youngest (once the lockdown is over) to watch it with me. Thanks, again. Love the content.
Dan- I think one of the staples you should on your show is a year in review with movies and rank them. Another thing that I think you could do is add a season based preview of Movie/TV shows to look forward to. I appreciate and like your taste and I'd be interested to see what you're looking forward to and why these particular films/shows are on your radar.
Great reviews! You have your critic credentials, please get on those amazing junkets. Like for jumanji, I want to see your flight, your room, the adventures you go on.

Great video! Awesome graphics and transitions and I really like the "hall of fame" bits. I was quite surprised how much I liked Sonic. Not earth-shattering or anything, but a solid movie for the whole family. I was shocked how much I emphasized with Sonic. Poor guy with no friends. I thought his entire psychology was fascinating. Great reviews as always! Would love to hear your thoughts on newly streaming films as well like Big Time Adolescence (which I really enjoyed but would love to hear your analysis)
The animation changes were most likely a good thing that helped the move, but whatever happened to the animation studio that had to redo their work? Did they get paid for the crunch time?
Well the animators all got fired when the VFX house apparently decided they weren't getting enough tax benefit in Vancouver, so at least the people doing the work got screwed, as usual.
In these stay at home-times I would love to see reviews from you on some Netflix movies - came to think of 6 Underground with you talking about Michael Bay. That movie is very. Very. VERY Bay.

First thing I noticed was Chris Stuckmann’s book in the background. THAT is a nice, very classy friend move, Dan.
I swear I listened to Dan, but I am fascinated with the Alan Rickman image (as Snape/Hans Gruber).
Not the only one. I’ve been trying to find it online.

“Box office frozen in carbonite”, gives me an image of Dan Princess Leia fashion venturing in to Jaba’s layer to save the charts.

I wasn't expecting another movie to be there. Got me good
"You lied to me Lucas" LOL. Definitely felt that way after after watching The Wizard.

Andrew Olson didn’t know if that was supposed to be Dan or Biker Harry Potter.
Totally agree with the praise for Martin Lawrence: so captivating in this film
