I think the flowerbeds around the coop are one of my favorite areas of your garden. One of your first videos I saw was the one where you created the flower bed in front of the coop, and I always love seeing this area evolve. It inspires me to do things in my garden.

I personally loved the little mini tour. I’m sure I’m not in the majority of viewers when I say this, but videos that are an hour or more are just too long for me. I don’t have that kind of time, and when I have to stop/start videos so much it just takes away from it. But either way I love you guys and what you do! Happy gardening ♥️👩🏻‍🌾

Love how you can look at something and see the fix right away! The king tuts between the hydrangeas, lol!!! Your weather reports are great, we are to the east of you and end up with similar weather about a week later!! Heat coming our way, lol!! Love the size/scale of the huge containers!! Even the garbage bin area gets flowers, love it!! 🌸

Thing I'm putting in your strength column; love the way you think outside the box when composing beds and boxes, the fearless way you blend humble vegetables (raddishes) with herbaceous perennials and shrubs. I first took notice last year when you used blue/red cabbage as an accent on the west side. Well done.

You are so fortunate to be able to give your plants so much water. We have watering restrictions here and are only allowed to run retic twice a week. Handwatering can be done daily but only during the early morning or in the evening. A run of temps above 100 generally fry my plants!

Absolutely love your channel, the wealth of information is unlimited. I wish we could share pictures to show you how much your videos have changed gardening for many of us....The hardest to learn, chemicals. I have a beautiful nursery but it seems with each plant I bring home more and more bugs. Pease share a video about the different bugs or fungi and what to do on the veggies verses flowers. Thank you for all you do.

If you use the Espoma organics (It has a tan color on the label) you can use it for flowers and veggies. Captain Jack's for bugs and I use Rose Rx for bugs and fungus in veggies and flowers. Rose rx is neem oil. Very safe. I learned all this from watching this channel. I alternate, I spay Captain Jack then 7-10 days later I spray Rose Rx throughout the late fall and summer. I live in humid and buggy North Carolina.

I do think you're right! - little lime lights sounded familiar (by the chicken coop). Love the last moment tuts swap. LOL. When planting in anything over 90 we're lucky to get things in planned order. You're the bomb Laura! FYI my nextdoor neighbor planted sunpatiens, and hers are thriving in the late afternoon hard sun we get in So-Cal (it has been over 90 to 100 for weeks now).

Mara, I am also in the metro area. 111 degrees on Sunday?! Hubby and I just finished a pvc structure with burlap shade cloth for a “cooling center” for my new perennials in my new sun garden. New because we lost our very old maple in February’s ice storm. I just don’t want my fire light hydrangeas to burn, they are full of barely formed buds. I tucked my containers under there as well for easy monitoring and watering. Fingers crossed. Stay cool! No AC here. 🥵

Am I the only one who had fountain mishap PTSD watching them consider moving the urn? Lol. I so appreciate you talking through how you think through everything as you plant an area. A special kudos for the editing, once again it's the perfect balance of detail and "speed planting" . Thanks for bringing us into your garden just like old friends.
