- On a recent adventure with Zenning with Zay we came across the Wealthy Farmers Abandoned Homestead! This home was once owned by a very wealthy farmer which was evident in not only the size of the place but also the amazing woodwork throughout!

Does anyone else think about how they would redecorate and remodel these houses while they watch these videos, or is it just me?
It is a shame that solid old homes like this will be torn down and replaced with cheap homes that won’t last as long!

This one could be moved.Used to be a lot more common back in the 20th century.The thought of this home being pushed down and buried makes me want to spew chunks.This is so wrong on far too many levels...
Kind of wondering if maybe the upstairs appartement had tenants who just now moved out and downstairs has been empty for a little while?
Beautiful woodwork. What you can see today in new houses? Just empty walls, concrete and glass. I like old houses, maybe just because I am old too. Years ago I bought a country house built in 1920 and I renovated it completely by myself during years 2013 -2019. My house will never be abandoned.
I would have loved seeing it before the alterations. Sad it’s being torn down. So many nice features.

That was such an amazing place! I absolutely loved the beautiful woodwork throughout that house. Such a shame that it's abandoned. Hate to see this place torn down! They don't build houses like that anymore. That house is spectacular. I've always loved wood. Very logical with tons of storage.

Huge home, lots of living space, love the 3rd floor.. neat stairway.. pocket doors are super.. kitchen is better than most, home for a large family

What a beautiful house fell in love with it I love how you walk into the front and there's a upstairs to a wash washer and dryer and then when you go up there's like another floor I think that's so cool I love the whole house, it was in good shape, I just love the layout I love those pocket doors, enjoyed viewing this house with you 🥰👍👍👍👍

The smaller staircases are often old servant staircases. The small closet at the beginning was also likely an old "dumb waiter" or elevator.
I hope that most of this house can be saved and used again. Wonderful older home. Thanx for the tour.

What a beautiful home,love all the natural woodwork everywhere. Clearly,the upstairs was party central,but a very cool,could have been used has a separate apartment at one time...All kinds of food still left in the fridge. All this house would need is a little TLC and a new roof,and it would sell...too bad its set for demolition...just love this house,and it's old country feel...Nice find,Jamie!🥳🤫🤔

Didn't care for the paint on the outside but lo be the inside.❤️. Whoever lived upstairs loved their beer. If no one was renting the upstairs you would have thought that they knew the house was empty and made their selves at home.

Man what a find! I hate that they’re tearing it down. It looks like the second and third floor was probably an apartment because of the separate entrance, but it could be that the second floor was split to. You crack me up! I know what’ll pull this room together… a p- --!!! I sure wish somebody would save all of that wood and those doors. Y’all take care, and thanks for the great video!

Gorgeous old house!!! Loved all of the wood features! The doors, door casings, windows, window casings, baseboards! The staircase was beautiful! It maybe in need of structural attention, but overall, it was in great shape!!! Love old barn wood! Very sad that it will be torn down😞 I hope that they can save the pocket doors & all of the old, original wooden features in this property! Hi to Zany & Opie! It looks like somebody is still living there in the attic! Power is one, fridge full of recent food.. maybe the last owner was left there by the new owner just until he move all his stuff out. Or a squotter?

That was a lovely place, what a shame it’s being torn down. And the power still on omg! Weird top floor kitchen and that shower rail - if they raised it the top space was too narrow so it wouldn’t cover you up. The wood was amazing 🤩 great find 🌹

Carpet walls are so odd and upstairs looked like a fraternity room but the wood work in this place was beautiful. Enjoyed it👍

Very nice house
Beautiful, nice three story house. The house looked well taken care of from the outside. Nicely painted in blue and white. As it was in good shape, it was no surprise that it was newly abandoned, awaiting demolition. The road situated just opposite the house looked like a busy road. Vehicles could be seen zooming passed the front of the house. It was quite noisy if the windows and doors were opened. Inside, the house looked spacious, yet certain parts of the house looked kind of narrow and cramp, especially at the foyer area. Just as one entered through the main entrance, on the left was the beautiful but narrow staircase leading to the second floor. On the right of the entrance was a wall. Another door a few feet in front of the entrance lead to the living and dining rooms area.
The wooden staircase lead to the second floor where the laundry room area was. Quite a big laundry room. From the laundry room, there were passageways that lead to several other rooms and toilet. At 4:34 the wallpaper in one of the rooms was poorly done, as some of the pattern did not run parallel to each other, thus creating a patch and not a continuation of the wall paper. At 6:04 the front porch had a clear view of the road where across the road there was a vast land of greenery. Nice scenery, but with vehicles passing by none stop it was rather noisy. At 6:50 there was a kitchen on the third floor, maybe for other members of the family, as there was another kitchen @ 11:34 located at the main floor, probably for used by the owner and his family. hanks Riddim Ryder.
Strange voices were heard. Here goes:
1) At 6:14 a male voice called out, "Hello." Could be people outside calling each other or could be something else;
2) At 6:49 a kid faint voice said, "She is" after Riddim said she (house) was hot up there.
Originally what Jamie said was thr front entrance it was the entry to my large kitchen. The stairway off the kitchen entrance was for the hired help. I added the extra wall and turned the attic into an apartment after my divorce. The dogs loved the 2 staircases when I was after them lol

Having a wood framed window in a shower seemed odd. This house had many renos--3 bathrooms in a house that age would not be normal. Can't believe they would tear it down. Looks freshly painted outside. All that woodwork and beautiful six panel doors; I hope these are salvaged if it does end up demolished. ☹️

A rail that’s up toward the ceiling maybe a foot or so down is often referred to as a plate rail and people with decorative plates I want it
All the wood needs to be taken out!! All the baseboards doors and the pocket doors are pristine. It’s a shame it’s gonna be torn down. Detroit Michigan has a lot of older homes like this that are being vandalized and torn down
Where was this house at? There is absolutely nothing wrong with that house. Its gorgeous and in better condition than my old house. I can't believe the historical society would let them tear it down
The yellowing is from cigarette smoke.
