Hi, the house is very pretty, and all those beautiful rooms and I know you have explained that, but I don't understand why they are tearing down the old beautiful houses, there is people out here that sleeping under bridge's under paste board boxes, they ought rent out the houses and they would have money to fix what ever the house need. Another reason to hate developers. Tearing down a beautiful home to make shitty apartments. Erasing history, erasing memories. They're such a scourge on life. I'm not sure where you are but, sometimes, in the USA you can offer a developer money for a house about to be destroyed...sometimes they even give it to you for free...but you have to move it. Too bad someone can't come along and save it.

Profit is the driving force behind "Renewal" I wish some of these homes could be moved as you say, i guess it is harder with brick and stone ones. This is so gorgeous ! It seems This home has been well maintained and/or updated fairly recently. I didn’t notice any structural issues, that I usually see with most of these redevelopment homes! What a shame this is going to be destroyed! Thank you Indigo, for documenting these treasures!
Oh my gosh.... what a beautiful home. Such a shame that it is to be destroyed. When I watch these I can’t help but think of the families that have lived in these great places and of the happy times they would have had.

Those pillars in that doorway are pretty, but I would so much rather have the huge doorway. Crystal teardrop chandeliers would have been stunning. That huge bay window is also stunning. This is a beautiful home.
No, that would kill the look and feel of this house. Talk to friends with good-taste to help you use them to your advantage, I have to do it, lol. Most people would kill for an entry like this, in this style of home. Don't devalue it by removing them and turning a home into a barn, just saying...🎃🎃🧹🧹😁😁

I would gladly live in this house. This house has so much character, it was well loved by who ever lived there. Great rooms and out door spaces. Unfortunately the homes built before 1960 are the target homes for the developers for renewal and these stunning 50`s ones sit on large lots which make them even more desirable for new complexes to be put up and for great profit!! Sad but true dam t! :-)
What a find, 1950s character house with a few modifications. Awesome marble fire place surround with electric fire. Open plan living area. Nice pre ownership/real estate pictures

Great walk through and explanation of the history of this house and the one next door, especially with the Real Estate info & pics. For a place that's about to be levelled, the owners sure did leave it immaculately clean and very well cared for.

The fence in front was fantastic, the front of the home is wonderful. Instead of a cob web stick, you should have a chirping fire alarm stick! That medallion in the dinning room blew me away! The doorway took my breath away.Did you notice the lace curtain in the bathroom? The living room with it’s rounded wall of windows was stunning! And the marble fireplace, WOW! This place was an architectural showpiece! With all the different elements throughout the house. It might just be me, but it looks like most of the doors were wider than usual?

Adelaide is awful for not preserving their historic or older style houses. So many lovely old homes like this are being dozed for apartments or units. Our lovely town is very fast becoming soulless. Great vid of a beautiful old home.

Cleanest abandoned home, surprised no graffiti. Noticed they put in nicer mantel from the real estate photo. So much can be salvaged from that place. Great find! Enjoyed the music, very subtle n not overpowering! Thanx

I love this house, wish I could buy them all and restore them. I like the wooden kitchen cupboards and the arch in the doorway on the inside. I like Lino too, some of the designs were beautiful retro, that decorative ceiling was amazing too. Sad to know its being demolished.

Wow!! What a shame. Its sad because these beautifully done architecturally proud homes are being replaced with glass and cement boxes that have no character. Cities are getting bigger and slowly consuming urban suburbs. I'm so glad I live in the country, where urban expansion is so much slower!!! I think houses that are built and made well, should be preserved, go knock down all those asbestos houses and weatherboards! I get we've got to improve and make way, but really, there's got to be a better way. Thanks again for sharing.

The doorway took my breath away.Did you notice the lace curtain in the bathroom? The living room with it’s rounded wall of windows was stunning! And the marble fireplace, WOW! This place was an architectural showpiece! With all the different elements throughout the house. It might just be me, but it looks like most of the doors were wider than usual?

Demolishing this old house, and others like it, is demolishing history! Old houses have so much character and many stories to tell!
Greetings urbex indigo, I can tell by your character that when you go into these homes that you fell that you are not a destructive person, you seem to me like you care about what you do irregardless to a place may look like or what has been done to it by previous persons, I enjoy your shows and the way you explain history of something that you're looking at are doing, keep up the great work I just can't get over how you are very calm and Collective when you are in these kind of places doing what you have to do thank you for sharing God bless you always and you are a blessing to myself and many other people's, we're always watching and thank you for bringing us what you do.

I thought the last house was lovey but this one surpasses that. Absolutely stunning. I do prefer the kitchen in the previous one. Why on earth would the demolish these houses? We could all chip in and buy them! Lol 😜💋 xx

This is a beautiful home. I truly hope they go in and take the columns and light medalions and repurpose them in another home or sell them to someone who will appreciate them.

A Beautiful Home, Wish It Could Been Saved!!
Adelaide is awful for not preserving their historic or older style houses. So many lovely old homes like this are being dozed for apartments or units. Our lovely town is very fast becoming soulless. Great vid of a beautiful old home.

Cleanest abandoned home, surprised no graffiti. Noticed they put in nicer mantel from the real estate photo. So much can be salvaged from that place. Great find! Enjoyed the music, very subtle n not overpowering! Thanx

I love this house, wish I could buy them all and restore them. I like the wooden kitchen cupboards and the arch in the doorway on the inside. I like Lino too, some of the designs were beautiful retro, that decorative ceiling was amazing too. Sad to know its being demolished.

Those columns are nice, would look good in the right house.
Wow!! What a shame. Its sad because these beautifully done architecturally proud homes are being replaced with glass and cement boxes that have no character. Cities are getting bigger and slowly consuming urban suburbs. I'm so glad I live in the country, where urban expansion is so much slower!!! I think houses that are built and made well, should be preserved, go knock down all those asbestos houses and weatherboards! I get we've got to improve and make way, but really, there's got to be a better way. Thanks again for sharing.
Well said Shannon. Yep this area is considered high value and on a popular road between beach and city in Adelaide. The developers know the value and do not care what is built on it as long as the get the land for their complexes. Sad but true! Cheers for watching :-)
