It breaks my heart to see all the furniture, dishes, toys, artwork, toys, etc., left behind in the abandoned house. I know eventually building have to be torn down, but couldn't they salvage things & if family doesn't exist or want the things, sell it & help people who are struggling just to live another day. Thank you for always putting things back, as you find them. It shows such respect for those that have lived in that home. Thank you.

There was a 1st issue Sindy doll from 1964 in that pram, you were right, she was worth quite a bit. The big doll wasn't scalped, the pot head was moulded that way and a wig added to cover the top.

As a maker of doll clothes I can tell you that the first thing that deteriorates in old doll clothes is the elastic in underpants (and socks). Then the pants keep falling down. There is nothing creepy about that or weird. There is usually an explanation for many things that seem weird in old houses.

I’d be finding out who the owner is and ask if they wanted the contents. If they were to say no I’d be hauling away. They haven’t been gone to long because there’s no dust or cobwebs. Strange to that all the items on the shelves are sitting up just perfect. 🧐🤔

    • @davidneal9368

Shouldn't be demolished. Think of the stories it could tell if the walls could talk. This would make a great family home for someone. It's criminal to see old houses torn down. It's not just brick and mortar. It holds history. Memories. They tare it down then they should have their own house torn down.

The throw on the sofa downstairs and the bedroom upstairs were gorgeous. That old pram in the loft too. Also the embroided chair. So much nicer than modern day equivalents.
I can't help but smile at how many rose decorated items are in the property and the rose growing in through the window. Very sweet.

That was a great find an old Victorian style house it even had the servants bells still there, the button on the wall by the serving hatch was a servants bell and I noticed one next to the window in one of the rooms. The statues if the girl with a pet and the boy next to it are normal for households if that time, even my Gran had them also she had Pictures Queen Mary and Albert instead of Queen Victoria. There was a modern shower stool in the garden too plus judging by the walking sticks the owner was if a good age. Often if an elderly women gets Dementia or in years gone by had lost a child they have found that giving them a dolls or baby items such ad cots or pram's does quiet them down and stops them from wandering so much. Obviously someone with a sick sense of humour has set those dolls up for a laugh. Thank you so much.

An other great find/ explore. Such a heartbreak seeing first the personal effects, nobody seems to want; secondly the home it's self, lovely; but in a need of many repairs. Perhaps the reason it's no longer occupied. Just a shame, that no ones cares for either(house, contents). Great job showing this place, with no police, lol.

If I were you, I would try to find out who the owners were, and suggest to their grown children that they have a jumble sale! They could make a lot of money off the antiques, and books in the house. The money should go to the poor old dear who is wasting away in a home! Interesting. The old pram. dates from the 1920's. The pram. in the loft 1960's (Pedigree) Son was in the Military and they were a Catholic family-or a close relative that came to live with them was. The house decor is Mid 1970's and yes, we all carpeted our bathrooms then (but put mats round the loo!). I suspect the relatives did take everything valuable and left the memories. As someone pointed out in the comments - in the end that is all that is left.

Someone who explored before put the dolls in those places lol!.. in the big old pram most of the dolls are just 60/70 plus but the one that’s worth the most is the smallest it’s the Sindy doll it even looks like she had on an original outfit if my memory serves me right. That pram the dolls are in is beautiful and looks in beautiful condition ,no rust at all. These were popular and the adult version used until cars were in wide use and most families had cars ..They fell out of fashion around the 70s but you can still buy them .They are extremely expensive They were great because with a tray under it was great for the shopping too or a toddler to lie down and have a snooze in ..I had one for my youngest as we had no car..Brilliant.The pushchair downstairs is older pre 1940 I should think ,possibly earlier...The home is actually in good condition ,it’s a shame it’s being pulled down. They will build something with no character no doubt that will not survive this long.Such a shame really .The two figurines you saw on the landing in the window are typical Victorian Chalk ware .They are made from pressed chalk and then painted. It was a great ant cheaper way to produce detailed ornaments at a more affordable price .You would find a lot of these and smaller ones in a lot of homes ,they did a huge range of figurines. The only problem with them was the paint would chip off them ...Thank you for this lovely walk around and it’s nice to find homes like this still here in the 🇬🇧 🥰

I would love to restore the pram up in the attic, as Silver Cross prams are my favourite.
I last used a silver cross pram in the late 80's but these styles are always the best, forget the things that almost bend a baby in half, a baby loves to sleep in a cosy comfy pram.

Nah, in Australia we refer to them as bathroom basins. It's the kitchen th ast has a sink!

Bittersweet video. Loved the finds. Sad for the owner and in a strange way, sad for myself; knowing how it's all going to end up. Do I really need this much stuff?? Relatives will just take the T.V. and leave all my memories behind. The complete disinterest of the relatives is a too-common theme of these explore videos. It's a truth I'll have to face.

That doll in the crib, she lost part of her head because when she was put together they had to stick their hand in to put her eyes in. Then they would put a stiff cap with a wig over the hole. I have made dolls before that's how they were made. I know they look creepy but there was a little girl who loved & played with them.
