Hi Cody. Thanks for this video. I've been trying to set up and record a podcast for a couple of months using Garage Band. The one problem I kept running into with other videos was that it was either just for music, or not the current version of Garage Band. Thank you for making this clear and newbie relatable video.
Thank you for this! In the first 6 minutes I learned what a lot of other GB for podcasts tutorials where not teaching! I posted my first podcast without all of these shortcuts and it was frustrating. This would’ve saved me a lot of time. Just the simple zooming in and out and the placing the play head specifically was invaluable!
@@CodyCrabbEdits thank you! I am actually really struggling with how many DB my podcast should be at. my intro and outro is very loud but my interview at normal volume, I am trying to figure out what they should be set at.
Mate, your style of teaching is very easy to follow... I'm new to podcasting and have been using a Rodecaster Pro just for me, but with guests coming on in the future I want to use Garageband but it's pretty intimidating for a noob, so this video is gonna be my go-to lesson! So easy to follow, easy to understand etc. Cheers mate, keep it up!

You're the real deal. I can't tell you how much I appreciate this. I was able to edit my entire first podcast -intro-outro-everything because of you. You're awesome. New sub here, Cody! I've tried garage band over and over again over the years but most tutorials still leave out seemingly small details that are actually HUGE if you don't know what you're doing. This was perfect! Are you related to the Crabb Family of Tennessee? Gospel group?
Thanks for the video. When I scroll over the wave forms I don't get the cross bars to select sections like you do in the lower editing bar, any idea how to turn that feature on?

Your explanation of each step was so helpful! Would love to see a tutorial on beginner mixing. Thank you and greetings from Germany

I'd been splitting left and then splitting right and then deleting the clip in the middle. Didn't know about the double-click :D ! Thanks for sharing!

this helped me greatly. This was everything I needed in one episode to publish my episode in the same day i wrote it and recorded it!
Amazing!! This is what I like to hear
Hi from France ! Thank you Cody for this video very clear and helpful ! I see you just start your channel so GO GO GO !!!!
Love to hear that! Any suggestions for content you'd like to see from my channel?
Thanks. very useful. But for the life of me I couldn't find the scroll key on my MacBookPro keyboard and neither on my Qwerkytypewriter;

What if I am recording straight into the garageband app itself? Is the laptop mic sufficient?
What sroll button. If you mean the mouse pad then you don't need the first two buttons? confused
Hi Cody I left the thing for the tempo when I was recording and it it’s in the audio. Can I remove it easily?
if I don't have a mouse (on laptop) ...what is the alternative to "right click"?
I think ths only thing about editing podcasts kn Garage band for me is eqing
I like to disable the numbers and instead use a timestamp.
none of my Mcs has a right click. Are you all-inclusive in your approach to teaching this?
how about being informative for both platforms, Mac and whatever else there is.
