For me Cheltenham just comes down to whether El Fab can clear all the fences because if he does I cannot see how Jonbon beats him as this guys engine is phenomenal.
@@paulconey252 It is a perfectly valid comment, regardless of the reason why the fences are there and we all know that they still need to be jumped anyway. El Fabiolo has a tendency to get a bit low over some of the fences and almost hurdles them, so doing that too often in a race can takes its toll regardless of how good his engine is.

A trainer not running in a race if the conditions do not suit their horse is not bottling out. Oddly enough, it is not running in a race where the conditions do not suit their horse. It is something that ALL trainers do, but that Henderson only ever seems to get grief over. He was reluctance to run Altior in the 2m5f Ascot race on the ground when stepping up from 2m when beaten by Cyrname when using the race as a stepping stone to see if the King Geoege at 3m was a possibility, ending a 19 race winning streak for the horse. Jonbon still ran in the Tingle Creek because Henderson deemed conditions suitable, but he did not for his two in the rearranged Fighting Fifth and so pulled them both out on that ground, because he deemed it unsuitable and too close to their Kempton target races over Christmas.
He looks the same horse to me as last year, very good then and still very good now. El Fabiolo got a lovely run up the inside in the Arkle and got away from the second last fence quicker than Jonbon and Dysart Dynamo who had a bit of a bumping match over it.

He beat Jonbon by 5 1/2 lengths last year. He just has more speed than Jonbon so I don't know how they can give him some more turbo boost or something.
