Hi i just bought this unit for my 2008 mk5 Golf. Will it cause battery drain when i install it, ive read it is common when fitting new radios?
You need power from key for Acc Red Cable on pioneer cables, to avoid battery draining
How did you take out the old unit without taking off the trim?
You need to remove trim
What radio trim is needed please? I've fitted the same radio for my MK6 Golf into the orginal VW facia but need trim to finish.

@bassdealeraudio442 Hi I removed the original radio and installed the same radio in your video into the existing frame but there's a gap around the radio and facia so was hoping to find a trim

Hello, When I got to connecting the cables, it didn't work. The cables sticking out of the car do not match the connection I received with the Pioneer unit. Do you have any suggestions or can you record how it goes together?
You need Acc power from the key to start Pioneer

@@bassdealeraudio442 well my subwoofer has a left and right output but my pioneer avh 240bt only has one SWC output, i tried with a adapter but it still would not work. it might be something to do with an amplifier start cable but i dont know how to connect it, dont know where it goes or if thats even the problem
