Finally, the Fireplace From Hell is completely GONE!🔥After a ton of blood, sweat, and tears, we’re relieved to see it go. Next up: rebuilding the walls! We’ve debated long and hard about the insulation, knowing it’ll reduce the room size by 10 cm on each side. But in the end, we’re confident it’s the right move. Stay tuned for what’s next-we can’t wait to show you the transformation!

Hi, Nicky and Leigh. What a difference the chimney removal and wall made to the look of the main living area. The video itself is a comedic work of art with all the 'sighing' and 'gasps of pain'. Hopefully, there were no more huge trips to the tip just for concrete. I'm enjoying the update footage. Thanks for sharing 👍
You are doing so well and the videos are very watchable. I find in so many renovations programmes on tv where the people who are claiming to renovate but are actually “project managing”. Anyway you are proving you’re doing it all, chapping fingers included! I’m sure that was a sore one. I know this is all catch up videos but I hope you rested for a while after this video. You do look very tired and worn out. Anyway love what you’re doing and your endless positive attitude, and friendly manner.

I've used FU-5, You have my sympathy. The treatment can really hurt, which my dermatologist forgot to tell me. It's still better than surgery.

I must say it's pretty funny watching you suffer from my couch with a nice cup of coffee.
it's a hell of a job. We renovated the house 13 years ago. We had a bathroom from the seventies where a metal bath and the sink were cemented into the bathroom with huge bricks and concrete. It took me a week to get everyhting out and my back still hurts!
Oh that sounds like a project! But you’re still living there 13 years later so it was all worth it, right? 😃

The house 🏠 must have risen by itself after you took out that beast of a wall 🧱. Glad Nicky could help a bit. I have one request, when you are up to it. You are a pretty ace 🏄♂️ surfer 🌊, i think. Can you get a shot of you doing that run 🏃♂️ and jump onto a paddleboard, from a jetty ? That was thee coolest thing I've seen in an age ! If not, no stress, that was a different era ! Advertise the bricks as people will want them! Then they get taken away for you…we have just collected loads of wood decking for free, we just had to load it up! Wanting it for making more raised growing beds on our allotments. Perfect!

If your living area is too small, maybe you could add on a 3 season room? I’m in Canada, and we like to use the heat from the sun during cold winter months. So we built panels with screen on them and put them up in April, good through end of October. We take them down so we have full southern exposure in the winter. We love it! No bugs and enjoy sitting out there as much as we can. Our grand kids loved playing on it too.
all this shows how much harder demolition is than what is shown on the various TV channels. It takes days and a lot of hard work and sweat.

I'm loving this renovation series, I love the open space you have created now the walls are down, please tell me you havnt put a new wall up around those steps.. it looks soo much bigger without that wall.. just turn the steps around and it will look and feel even bigger 😀 anyways I can't wait to see the completed house and nikkys styling 😊

Great work and progress Leigh keep going you're doing awesome. It's a mess right now but the fruits of your labor will seriously be worth it. As for my renos they are still on hold due to the foul weather. But spring is about to happen but we are in the midst of a weather event so I will have to wait. But I have gotten a few odds jobs done like putting new handles on here and there only 3 more to put on LOL.
But keep going each bit that gets finished brings you closer to the end.

Hey Lee, if you’re from Australia surely you know that in Australia we have things known skip bins why don’t you hire one of those instead of constantly going back to the tip that way you’re not constantly hurting yourself and you can put all your rubbish in the skip bin
